The attendants are very kind and amazing view on the top of the hill. Taiwanese foods cooked with tea leafs are offered, a quite tasty and special. My favorite ones are fried Tofu and Chicken soup with free refilling, which is excellent when you go during the cold weather. The environment is good, big, perfect for family meetings ! The chicken soup is a quite pricey, but it’s worth to have a try !

Went to Maokong to 1) experience their gondola and to 2) try Qing Quan Villa. Must-try orders: 🌈 Tea Fried Rice: REALLY good. I still miss it. Lol. 🌈 Japanese fern: It doesn't look yummy but the sauce - wow. It complements the dish and makes the flavors pop. 🌈 Native chicken: Moist and juicy, just the way we like it. Chicken with Clam: It's okay for the warmth although there's nothing spectacular about it. :) 🌈 Tea pot: Great to finish your meal! They could have added a few sweet treats to complete the experience. Spent around 1,600 TWD in total for the 4 of us.

This restaurant has views, great local food and good service. Their signature tea fried rice is absolutely worth it, and we particularly enjoyed their fried leek. This restaurant is NOT along the road and needs to be accessed via a short flight of stairs up - however you can spot the green sign board along the road. Note that they have a minimum charge of NT200 per person, and a maximum seating time of 2 hrs on crowded days. Minimum amount is not an issue though, as 2 dishes and a drink will take you way above that.

It's high up in the hill. Good for lunch or dinner. The food is so good. I am traveling solo and manage to finish a whole pot of soup. Orders the Signature slow cooked Pineaple + bittergourd chicken soup. Let it cook further another 10 minutes with high heat before you start scooping it out. It makes the pot of soup taste even better. It's a must try for soup lover.

A restaurant with a view. Need some climbing to access to the dining area but definitely worth it. They have an interesting menu where some of the dishes are cooked with tea leaves and vegetables that they farmed on site. Prices are on the high side but to be fair their portion are big as well but I would have prefer to have smaller portion at cheaper cost so that for 2 persons we can try more dishes.

Perfect place to have very early dinner, like 4pm, enjoyed the good food and watch the sunset about 5 pm. The view is not facing West but kind of North or northwest. The sky became tinted with pink color when there are clouds. The Maokong gondola station is also visible as well as Taipei 101. We ordered the set dinner for two persons and it was more than plentiful and tasty. This place is raised above the road and has best view. Getting a good table with view needs timing. That's why we came at 4pm.

You will need to take some steps up to get to this restaurant. But it’s not too long and quite worthy because the view is really good! The restaurant sets up some boards along the trail to welcome and cheer on customers. We ordered set meal for 2 persons today. NTD820 for 5 dishes with a large pot of Tieguanyin tea. Food is delicious, and tea is tasty. Besides, the restaurant is very big with many tables. The toilet in the restaurant is also very big and clean.

Great place to have lunch when you are at Maokong. Dishes were great, with all the tea infused meals. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great view from the balcony area.

Reasonable priced. Ordered fried rice, orange pork ribs, fried mushroom, tea boiled chicken soup and a bowl of white rice, cost a total of 1035 TWD. The tea boiled chicken soup is a hit or miss, some might like it but others might find it weird as the tea will make the soup bitter. Do note that going to the restaurant requires climbing a flight of stairs so it is not stroller or wheelchair accessible.

I came here for the fried tea leaves and they didn’t disappoint. I also tried the noodles in tea oil and they were tasty. There is a menu with English, and the staff speak a little bit of English which I appreciated a lot. The tea leaves came with a plum powder which was a really nice combination.

Outdoor seating with great view. Fresh vegetables from the restaurant's own garden.

Workers were friendly, view was good, but the food didn’t taste much flavor in it. It’s better with more salt or soy sauce in.

👍👍 We came at the first minute and there’s already a queue! But no need to wait too long and TOTALLY worth it! First of, we have the most famous 油飯, the sticky rice is awesome and delicious! Traditional Taiwanese food, reasonable price and good flavor! Then we have 滷味. Please, just give everything...
