To be honest, I expected better from a Michelin Guide Restaurant. While the interior of the restaurant is lovely and the food is well-presented, it doesn’t live up to expectations. Personally, I found the food either quite salty or lacking flavour. However, there are a few exceptions — the grilled chicken and roast pork. I also found the service to be a little slow and inattentive even when the restaurant wasn’t terribly crowded. Regardless, trying out this restaurant was worth the shot!

The place is beautiful and the dishes are well presented. However the taste is not as great as it looks. Taste is too sweet. Great for feasting for the eyes but not the stomach. The other outlet Ginger Farm is very much tastier.

Update: We had another 5 star visit. We were in the smaller house which is much more romantic and cozy. This is a place to give you a unique dining experience. The use of an old house with extremely comfortable and beautiful furniture is combined with an amazing menu. We tried 5 different menu items and each one was unique and very tasty. The fish cakes were as good as I have had. We all had very unique drinks using local flavors and spices.

Absolutely delicious restaurant with excellent vibe and great seating. The restaurant has been noted as one of the most noteworthy places to eat northern Thai food for the past three years. Excellent Khao Soi with ample amounts of chicken and a delicious broth. Of course it’s pricier than the street vendors but you do pay for quantity and ambiance. Wonderful staff. A must visit.

Another victim of its own success, I suspect! The atmosphere was pleasant & the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by some of the worst service I’ve experienced. The staff didn’t offer water upon seating and no one came to take a drinks order. After 20mins, with no staff in sight, I went to find someone. The food arrived sporadically and with 20+ minute windows between each course. Each time we wished to order more drinks we had to go in search of a server or sit there trying to get the bar staffs attention so that they could in turn get a server. We dined at 6pm so when we arrived the restaurant was quite empty, although, admittedly, was busy by the time we left. Overall a very disappointing experience after the other Michelin Gourmad restaurants in the area. A real shame as the menu itself is truly excellent.

Seating inside or out with beautifully wistfully decorating, you'll feel at ease the moment you walk in. From the great service and wonderful variety of beautifully presented Thai food, you'll be in for a tastebud treat and memorable lunch and dinner. You can't go wrong. It can get very busy at times, so call ahead for a reservation if you're thinking of visiting.

Stopped here for a quick coffee and was impressed by the service, cleanliness and quality. Ordered a Piccolo latte using local beans from Chiang Rai and it was perfect. We could pay with card which was a bonus and the restaurant was nice and air conditioned. Best coffee experience in the city. Update! Been back again for lunch and was all delicious and fresh. Might be back for a third time it was that good.

Great looking food in a lovely setting. The service is pretty inattentive, which was a sore point as they add a service charge. They even tried to add some one else's dessert to our bill. The meal was tasty, but not mind-blowing. I would still recommend as we had a nice time.

According to my opinion It does not deserve the nomination because the quality is very high but the cost is much higher for the standards of Thailand. I mean that the value for money is not the best of this restaurant. But I would return with no doubt.

However, tom yum soup is just average for me, the quality you can find everywhere in Thailand, 3 big head prawns was served and make it so exceptional. Absolutely incredible food. The decor & atmosphere are also incredible. Went for lunch one day, the Khao Soi was the best flavor of any I had in my two weeks in northern Thailand. Showed up for dinner the next night with no reservation & were kindly accommodated by the amazing staff. Tried the appetizer plate, the lotus root chips & the crispy pork belly.. all were 10/10. Also tried the chamomile martini & the espresso martini, both were perfect.

THE HOUSE by Ginger is incredible! I just stumbled across it by chance when looking at Google Maps and decided to visit for lunch today. When I arrived, it was set back in a secluded area of the city, and there were stickers showing Michelin stars from 2020, 2021 and 2022! I was totally not expecting that, so right away I had high hopes. Walking in, you’re taken back to an older time with fancy chairs, table settings and decorations - all very elegant and making you feel super fancy! The food and drinks were AMAZING! We got two of the mocktails - one of them even had smoke inside so when it was brought to our table, it was smoking! It was so cool and even gave a smoky flavor to the drink which elevated it to a whole new level! The other one had an egg white inside it and rose flavor. I’m not sure what the name was, but it was awesome too. Both drinks - highly recommend. We ordered many different food items - the Thai mixed appetizer platter is a must-try, and all the other dishes were exceptional as well. Sweet and sour banana flower dish, slow-cooked beef with lime and coconut, curries, noodle dishes, fried rice dishes and much more. You really can’t go wrong here. Try dishes marked with a red symbol on their menu - they’re their signature dishes! An added bonus that I read online: everything is made from scratch, every ingredient used is organic and no MSG is added! So if something tastes really good, it’s not enhanced by MSG in any way - that’s really how good it is! Every dish (even fried dishes) somehow tasted lighter than what you’d get at a typical restaurant, so if you’re wanting a meal that leaves you feeling good about what you ate, this fits perfectly. We will definitely be returning! An incredible restaurant we just found by chance that ended up being one of our favorite Thai restaurants ever! 🙌🏻

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Fantastic food, drinks and service. Our waitress was so kind and sweet and she was very helpful when I needed to adapt my meal to be vegetarian. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place

The decor was very nice and 95% of the customers were tourists. The food was well presented and tasted good. But for me, local cheap eats are preferable in Chiangmai.

The place was quaintly decorated and the food was simply amazing. The soft shell crab absolutely seduced me while the crispy pork belly changed my life. The fresh spring rolls also looked as good as they taste! I was full but kept eating anyways.

Had a wonderful dinner at The House and highly recommend. The food was so flavorful and fresh. I ordered the mixed appetizer platter to try different items and honestly I could have a had a plate of just the Meang Kham, Pak Bung Grob, and Ma Hor. The flavors were perfect! You can’t go wrong with the slow braised beef in lime coconut and lemongrass. The beverages were ok, a little sweet but that is welcomed with some of the spiciness in the dishes. The services was great - everyone is super attentive and welcoming.

Definitely not michellan star rating. Food is just okay not spectacular but the decor is very nice. The food way too salty even though I requested less salt. But to be fair Thai food in general is unhealthy salty. People with high blood pressure advise to avoid unless home cooked. The passion fruit Mango smoothie definitely not michellan star because they don't strain out the seeds. Standard very low plus the flowers not nice . If they want to improve they much choose nicer flowers. Vegetarian options available too for this place. English is okay but needs improvement..... overall still worth trying this place out.

The fried things in the starter plate were bland. The two other dishes were good. The portion size were quite big though. Probably will not recommend on going there nor go back.
