live music, crowded. but very arrogant staff. after ordering standing at the bar, obliques you stay there standing in the way of the staff and of every body going to loo. you are not allowed to stand or sit anywhere else or to talk to other people (even when explicitly invited by them). never seen such misbehaving staff in thai bar. really never. And i've couted 2 mintues: 48 person squeezing around me and stabling over my legs. lucky enough the welcoming and very friendly North Gate Jazz Coop is 300 meters further.

Nabe is a fantastic bar the 2 Thai band singing English rock songs were great. The drinks are cheap and the food very good. The bar is not in the centre of Chiang Mai but well worth a visit.

Rocking hangout bar, even on a Monday night. Thai patrons only, expect to hear some pretty decent covers from excellent bands - the night I went featured Oasis, Radiohead, Pink Floyd.

Coldest cheap beer around. Great live music. 99% Thai patrons.
