I've been consistently coming here for over four years and am always pleased with the food quality and consistency. Every dish is delicious and I am sure you will find a favorite as I have. My go to dish is the pumpkin curry, it is fantastic. The veggies are all fresh and organic and the curry is wonderful. Do yourself a favor and eat here whether you are vegetarian or not.

Delicious vegan Thai dishes! The massaman curry is always a good choice & the prices are fair for portions. The menu is huge so there’s something for everyone. Highly recommend!

People working there are incredibly rude. I was trying to explain them that i have got something that I didnt order but what they did is shouting at me like "what do you want?" "What happened?" I'm not saying that their English is not good but they just don't care and show this without any hesitation. I wish they would be nicer. Food is also not worth it too. EDIT: They responded to me saying that I have got what I ordered but just to clarify I ordered peper and mushroom stir fry but I have got tofu and mushroom stir fry. While I was ASKING about it. They SHOUTED at me. How could you consider customer asking question an inferioring behaviour? And also shout. Then you must have really low self-esteem or trust on your food. I didn't find your food delicious. There are a lot better foods around.

The food is pretty good, although to be honest given the prices I was expecting much more. Most dishes are over 100 baht but in my opinion this is not made up for in the quality or quantity of food. The restaurant itself is not so relaxing especially as it was dependant upon fans to keep cool while I was there. Staff seemed friendly enough. Personally I think you can find much better and cheaper veggie/vegan places if you're willing to just go out of Nimman.

BRO. This MAY BE the best curry I’ve EVER had. And I’ve lived in Asia for a hot minute. Dear LORD whatever they put in here is magical. I got the green curry and my buddy got the Massaman. He filled up so I ate half of his and they were both SO good I honestly couldn’t pick one if there was a gun to my head. OK maybe that’s over dramatic. I’d probably go green. BUT STILL. I told the staff thank you so much they got tired of me by the end because I couldn’t stop thanking them for making such delicious food. I could continue. But I won’t. Just…go.

Best vegetarian experience for me in Chiang Mai. Every single menu item I have tried was a favorite. Tasty, health giving food. More powerful than any vaccine, this is true natural medicine. Come and enjoy, even if vegetarian food is not your thing! (delicious)

Being vegan is hard when you don't speak Thai. So finding this place was great. Took the stairs to the 2nd floor. Where I was greeted as soon as I walked in. English speaking staff. The wall was nicely painted. The building is dated. The food is large portion sizes so be aware that you can share. The food is Flavorful!! The drinks are good. Stop by and give them a try.

One of the best vegan restaurants. Small restaurant, but the food was delicious. Masaman curry, Veggie fried rice, Pod Thai noodles all are good. Papaya juice was refreshing. No air-conditioning, but food did make up for it. Close to Maya and 1 Nimman malls. Restaurant is upstairs, easy to miss if you don't pay attention.

I've eaten Thai food everyday for the last week in Krabi and Chiang Mai and weekly in NYC's Hells Kitchen Thai food district. This is hands down the MOST DELICIOUS Thai food I've ever experienced. We walked in for lunch and every table was taken. They cook each other fresh so be prepared to wait a little bit if you come in during a busy time - it's worth it!!! I'm bummed it's closed the next 2 days we are in Chiang Mai. Forever etched in my soul, amazing food. I ordered the massaman curry and tofu pepper and garlic stirfry. Both were vegan and gluten-free. Also got the refreshing tamarind iced tea. So thankful for Anchan for having so many options. My partner, an avid lover of Chicken, got the Egg Red Curry and Thai Basil Fried Rice and also believes this is the best Thai he has ever had. Vegetarian/vegan or not, you must try this place during your time in Chiang Mai. Will definitely need to come back to Chiang Mai and Thailand just for Anchan.

Absolutely one of our favorite vegetarian/organic restaurants in Chiang Mai! We have been going to this restaurant for almost 10 years now, and have taken many friends for dinner here that have been equally amazed with the great menu and the high quality and unique flavors of the food. They have mostly traditional Thai dishes, but pasta dishes and salads are also on the menu. The portions are always really large, so arrive here hungry. More food comes out than what you expect every time. Prices are moderate, but it’s a great value and very much worth it for the super fresh and delicious food. They also have smoothies and desserts, which vary daily. They don’t serve alcoholic drinks or beer. We will definitely keep returning here for both lunch and dinner, and recommend it to everyone.

The one and only Anchan Vegetarian Restaurant is dazzling tastebuds and leaving customers with positive food memories. The food here is absolutely amazing 😍!!! Everything is made fresh to order. So expect the highest quality and freshest preparations. I consider Anchan to be the leader of plant-based community here in Chiang Mai. No matter how time passes by the food and flavor profiles don't change. The Chef, Aye, is a master of flavors and presentation of culinary delights. If you have allergens or particular dietary restriction, Aye is able to accommodate you without sacrificing the authentic flavors. I appreciate that very much! Truly his preparations are made with love and passion. What you won't find here is fast food or prepared meals that have been sitting for hours and reheated. Always always fresh. Love and appreciation to the Anchan family.

Would recommend. The prices are very reasonable and we found the portions to be enough for two people. There is a smaller menu with various curries, stir fried and rice dishes. We've tried the pumpkin curry, massaman, Thai basil fried rice and the stir fried onion flowers. You get brown rice so be prepared as it's a bit nutty. You can get dishes changed to vegan if required. It's a nice setting across from an apartment and up a small set of stairs.

The food was good but a little bit bland, could have been more spicy and salty. The Som Tam was to sweet in my opinion. But all together still a very good restaurant experience. Large portions and good service, too.

Delectable dishes served in a cool, relaxed and airy dining room. Warm and welcoming family-run restaurant. Very reasonably priced. (Oh, bah humbug to those who complain about paying around $3.60 for a generous plate of perfect Pad Thai obviously made with love that you know damn well you'd get thrown at you in the States for $7.99). This recipe's packed with firm tofu with crispy edges, scrambled egg, tender scallions, pan-seared mushrooms, juicy lime, sweet carrot slices, peanuts, noodles, and crisp bean sprouts. I love that they made it mild for me and happily handed me red chili flakes to add as desired. Paired with a refreshing berry soda smoothie. Felt almost like joining a local family for a meal (while a Whitney Houston song played on the stereo)! Share takeout at home with friends with limited mobility since there are only stairs to enter. I brought home Massaman Tempeh Curry with brown rice to dig into later, smells divine. Thanks new friends at Anchan! Peace, Starr 🙏

Had a lovely meal here. The restaurant is down a quiet alley and had a few seats available when we arrived, around 715 pm. After being seated we were given the menu and a pen. It's a paper menu where those seated at the table select their dish and number of dishes. Menu selection is huge with curries, soups, stir fry, fried rices, fried treats, and drinks. All sounded so good, all are vegetarian with some dishes being vegan. Almost all the dishes are vegetarian versions of popular Thai dishes. After ordering we got our drinks and food came out after about 20 or so minutes. The kitchen is open to the restaurant with 3-4 people cooking. As it's not a huge kitchen be prepared to wait a bit for your food if it's busy. The dishes themselves we're excellent. Tons of super fresh veggies and seasoned well. If you're a meat eater, you really won't miss it. Portions are also large, we could have easily split a curry. They also serve local brown and mixed rice, not the usual white rice found throughout Asia. Prices were fair for the area with mains being around 120 to 180 baht. For the quality of food and portion size the prices are fantastic. Staff were friendly and prompt, and the general atmosphere of the place can be described as welcoming and healthy! All in all, a great meal.

Wonderful Thai food, 100% vegetarian located in Nimman neighbourhood. Please note they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays!! Best food I had in Chiang Mai.. they can cater to vegan and Jain (no allium/no onion no garlic). I had the green curry with vegetables and mango salad. Both are freshly made and delicious!!! The salad portion is big, can easily be shared by 2 people. Prices are slightly more expensive but I enjoyed every bit. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for wonderful Thai food while in Chiang Mai. Specially for vegetarians and Jains, look no further and ensure you eat at least one meal here!

First time trying the food here. Love the tasty food! It's a cosy little place and really cooling due to the open air and balcony window. Anyway, definitely will be back to try more from the menu.

If you look for vegetarian in Thai style this may be the choice. Every table had some tourist and it took little time to prepare. We ordered Anchan style fried rice and vegetable with cashew fried rice and Tofu cashew nut sweet n sour. All were smaller, stir fry with little different mix. I would recommend this for stir fry lovers. Not a bad place.

(Translated by Google) Anchan fried rice and pad thai made with juice. There were so many sheep that I thought I could eat them. The taste was excellent and I felt it was a healthy food. Next time you come to Chiang Mai, this is the number one restaurant you want to visit again. The staff is unsmiling and unhelpful. That aside, the food. Ah. It literally sings when they set it in front of you, full of color and zest! Another reviewer said overpriced for the product, but I haven't had so many different kinds of really fresh vegetables in one dish. We won't be returning, because we want to go somewhere we feel values our business, but it's definitely a must try, especially for vegetarians. Note- menu varies week to week, the resturant is located up the stairs on the second floor and tofu is in most dishes (even if not listed).

It is an excellent place for a thai vegetarian meal. We were there for lunch yesterday and today. The dishes we ordered were varied, and the tastes were quite authentic and tasty. The chef accommodated our request for dishes to be spicy. We also had the Lime smoothie and the Papaya and lime smoothie. Both were great in rounding up our meals. The restaurant is a minute walk from the Yesterday Hotel. Google Map will get you there. The restaurant is also on the second level from the street accessible by a side staircase.

I tried the green curry and I love it. The price range is at the higher range among the vegetarian restaurants that I visited in Chiang Mai. But it is still worth the price due to the organic vegetables. The atmosphere is nice as well. Ideal place for family or friends gathering. The restaurant is located at the 1st floor. You will need to climb stairs to get there.

Had a fantastic meal at Anchan. I honestly think this was one of the best vegan meals I've had so far in Chiang Mai. We got the green curry with veggies and tofu, yellow curry potatos, and long eggplant in thai miso sauce. Wow. Such great flavors. I can't wait to come back and can't beleive I haven't visited sooner. Highly recommend!

Finally a good curry. Thai curries are everywhere but it's not easy to find a good one. I got the tempeh red curry and requested pumpkin. Thick coconut soup base, red curry paste, finally adequate basil leaves, lemongrass- galangaly, sweetness for coconut milk, pumpkin and carrots, a hint of spicy. Dreamy curry and a big portion. I thought I'd be taking half home (spoiler: I ate everything). Ps- no Aircon... No problem, you're sweating outside anyway. Let the curry make you sweat even more. Nothing an icey drink can't fix.

When I ordered the Thai basil fried rice, the waitress asked if egg was ok, I said “no, add extra tofu in place of eggs”. She then added egg and accused me of the error. Terrible attitude. In addition. No toilet paper in the poorly maintained bathroom. I’d suggest to write your dietary restrictions in a translator to avoid disappointment.

Great. I was impressed and will return. The restaurant was upstairs with an open air view over the street. The food was well presented, good colours and very fresh. Attentive service. I had the banana blossom salad and it was delish (and a bonus to not have fish sauce in a dish in Thailand) and a large portion! I also had a banana, coconut honey smoothie and it too was delish, not too sweet, but just right! I ordered a few items take away and will update my other food experience, but for now, this place is top of my list for eating and I’ve been in Chiang Mai for 2 years...the only down side is the parking and they could update their signage. The waitress was friendly and they know English. Sorry I have no pictures, I was too hungry at the time. <“-“>

Don’t expect anything other than basic homemade food that you can find pretty much in any vegetarian place. Portions are big, food is spicy. They don’t have any fresh salads or fresh veggies, which was a huge minus for us.

(Translated by Google) Good vegetarian restaurant. The portions are large enough for you to be saturated with a dish plus rice and there are by nature plenty of vegetables in the dishes which can otherwise be a shortage in Thailand where food is very much based on rice / noodles plus chicken / pork. This is my absolute favorite veggie place in Chiang Mai! I’m eating here almost every day and I’m always leaving full and highly satisfied. The meals are loaded on vegetables and the portions are huge. Everything I had here tastes super good and fresh. On top of that, they always bring the food out together which is a very rare thing in SEA to happen.

Very good curry with vegetables. Fast and hot. Not too spicy. The papaya salad was pretty bland, you need to compensate for the no fish oil, extra seasoning is needed. Nice clean place. Upstairs. Getting crowded at 6 pm. Watch your head on the overhanging table lights, ouch! 200 baht for soup, rice and a smoothie. The owners put a lot of passion into their food.

The flavors are rich, portion sizes are generous and even better, without fish sauce (I honestly couldn’t tell). We went two nights in a row and tried 5 dishes (Penang curry, Green curry, Tom Yum soup, Thai basil fried rice, and Anchan Fried rice), all are unforgettable A+ dishes. Planning to go back again!!

This place is one of our favorites in Chiang Mai. You just can't beat the freshness and the taste is a bit elevated from what you find other places. Portions are large, so you can justify the slightly higher prices. Highly recommend butterfly noodle pad Thai, massaman curry, green curry omelette and papaya lime smoothie. Vegan and vegetarian friendly and they will ask if you want egg or not.

We decided to try this place after reading the reviews, and I'm so glad we did! We aren't vegetarians, but eat a lot of vegetarian food at home, and we really like to eat meals with lots of fresh vegetables. This place was amazing! We ate here twice in our week-long stay in Chiang Mai and the food was so flavorful and a really good value for the big portions that you get! My favorite was the pumpkin red curry and the miso eggplant. The wait for food can be long if it is crowded because there is a very small team of 2-3 in the kitchen churning out fresh food, but it is soooo worth it!

Food wise is ok. Nothing to shout about. Tasted two fried dishes. The fried noodle is a bit salty for me. Big portion to compare with local pricing, plus they cooked with organic vegetables(If it is so, it is considered cheap). No homemade chilli sauce....hmm..mm.....Note: Located on first floor and no lift for disabled access.

Masaman curry and pad Thai very good. I don’t really like pad Thai but I will eat a whole plate of theirs!! Also the banana coconut shake was amazing. They are worth all the reviews. Good yet still casual. I think the cook/ owner is quite serious but other than that we had good ... albeit a little slow .. service. Will go back. Off the Main Street so nice and quiet but still pulls in the people. Mix of locals and tourists.

Reliable and affordable place for veg/vegan food. Generous portions. Blue pea flower pad thai was alright. Paneng curry was excellent. Banana coconut smoothie was very sweet. Strong wifi and great setting to get some work done while you eat.

I could become a vegetarian or vegan after eating their food!!! It is so good!! Portion sizes are bigger than normal Thai portions. Did I say how good it was?

This is the worst restaurant I've ever had 2 months after I came to Chiang Mai. Stir-fried vegetables - sweet enough to eat. Vegetarian rice — sweet enough, I suspect I was drinking cola. Mango salad - acid to throw directly. Waitress bad attitude came and I theory that the food here are put sugar are normal. I paid THB455. Money can be pay it worst food. But so bad food and bad attitude women really make everyone not interested in spending again. We live in Toronto of Canada. Travel for meals all over the world. All the things I've never seen are sweet rice and sweet Vegetable dishes in all Qiang Mai , Thailand , all of the world. If the owner think my taste is wrong please pay and to go different restaurant to try it.

(Translated by Google) Fried rice, salad. Give one serving, such as two. There is no air conditioner and it can be a little hot to go back to the fan. (Original) 볶음밥, 샐러드. 2인분 같은 1인분을 줍니다. 에어컨 없고 선풍기 돌아가서 좀 더울 수 있습니다.
