It’s convenient for tourist to find some local food in this restaurant, but if you are willing to walk a bit further, there will always be better options.

One of the best Thai food experiences I’ve had in all of Thailand! It was recommended by a friend as a great place to get Khao Soi, but also had amazing rice dishes as well. I got the cashew nut with chicken. They also serve smoothies and kombucha, an absolute delight!

The pricing is so affordable but my partners meal had an extremely large dead mosquito in it, which is just gross. The restaurant was also full of mosquitos. I’d give it a miss to be honest. Update: downgrade to 1 star as both of us have been unwell all day thanks to this place! Avoid it!

Having eaten in various restaurants in Thailand I've never had to wait almost an hour for the food to arrive! It wasn't anything fancy, a chicken pad thai and another noodle dish. The food itself was just about OK (although overly oily) but nothing special and we won't be returning. More staff / faster food production would be a good idea. We weren't the only table looking at their watches so we knew it wasn't that our order got forgotten, just that the kitchen was too slow. A shame as we had a couple of good meals here Nov '19.

Cheap beer, cheap food and good portion sizes. If we weren’t so full we would have ordered another two dishes - even as takeaway! We both had stir fry basil chicken with an egg and we were perfectly satisfied and stuffed! The restaurant is busy so service can be a bit delayed but overall it was just what we needed! We had our beer in less than two minutes and our food about 10 minutes later. Despite other reviews saying food took too long - it’s not a fast food restaurant like McDonalds, it’s a wonderful sit down restaurant where you need to be patient as it is busy because the food is just that good so many people come here to eat! Definitely will come back and recommend for anyone wanting a cheap quick delicious Thai meal

We went there for dinner, and the food selection are varied and seems very fresh! I especially love the white rice, even though it's so simple 🙈 They even gave us a complimentary lod chong, and the coconut milk was really nice. It's just a little bit after the north gate, beside the river, alongside with several other food stalls.

Our experience here was very amusing. We came for breakfast and ordered 2 cappuccinos, laos bread, one sticky rice with mango and one sticky rice with banana. After 20 minutes they brought 2 cappuccinos in paper cups from a caffe nearby, after other 10 minutes they brought the laos bread. We had already cancelled our plans for the morning as this breakfast lasted an eternity. After 40 minute since we ordered they came and said they had no banana sticky rice which was unlikely as the Sompet Market was next door. We asked them for mango sticky rice instead and after 10 more minutes they finally brought it. The mango had a funny taste and in total we spent an hour for the breakfast.

The owner and her kids are very nice. They make really nice Thai food. I recommend this place if you want a good garlic fish, good spring rolls, garlic shrimps, pad ka prao, morning glory or any other thai dish. They make good Chinese fried rice too.

I’ve been here a number of times and the food is always great and very inexpensive. The owner is so sweet and she speaks good English - she always makes sure that food comes out nice and quick.
