The roast chicken here is definitely one of the best I had in Thailand. There is so much garlic that makes it so flavorful. The chicken is tender and moist. It tastes good with the two sauces provided. I will definitely revisit this restaurant.

Rice was on the drier side which I liked. Papaya salad really did have the spicy kick, and the fried shrimps went well with it. It was a hearty meal but I don’t think it’s very special, and was slightly more expensive than other food around the area. Hygiene is also a concern as I found a hair in my salad towards the end :”)

Great lunch and snack spot. They have menus in English, Chinese and Thai. The chicken is definitely the star of the show but don't count out the other dishes. My wife and I split a full chicken and sauteed Chinese kale and rice for 250 baht. There are 2 dipping sauces with the chicken a sweet chili sauce and green onion vinegar that is fantastic with the white meat. Highly recommend trying this place out.

Great down to earth place... chicken is super fresh and well sized. Papaya salad IMO was nicely balanced. I love the local vibe that it has, and when I was there only Thai people were eating, which is always a good sign. As a plus, service is always smiling and attentive.

Made the rookie mistake on visiting a bit late and alas they had run out of chicken. Still i bravely entered and opted to try their pork ribs which also were of strong repute. I wasn’t disappointed as they were tender and juicy. Good value too, less than 100 baht without rice. I shall return and not run afoul of coming too late to get some of their famous foul. Update 26/12/22 I returned a couple of days later to nab some of that dang chicken. My mission was a success and I was rewarded with some of the highly reputed 1/2 chicken. I also had the salted crab salad. All was really tasty, the crab a little bit salty but I’d been sweating so I didn’t mind.

Pricing is low even with Chiang Mai standards. 2 chicken + 5-6 side dishes + few bottles of beer cost THB1060. Great experience and will return!

I ordered half charcoal roasted chicken, a serving of spicy mince pork salad and a spicy beef soup. The spicy beef soup tasted the best among the 3 dishes - beef was tender and soup tangy. Both the spicy beef soup and mince pork salad was not spicy at all. I would not go out of my way to try this place - if your nearby Wat Phra Singh then do drop by to try. Overall I would rate this as average food and slightly higher price - total cost me 280B for the meal including a can of Coke.

Really loved this spit roasted chicken location. It was literally right outside my hotel on the corner. The chicken is moist and actually has a natural roasted flavour. It comes with both a spicy and sweet sauce to dip into. Nothing fancy, but delicious. The papaya salad is tasty as well. The pork ribs are flavoured nice but a little chewy. Definitely go for the chicken and sides.

I came here twice in my 4 days in Chiang Mai! Chicken is the must-try and indeed very very tasty! But don't miss out on other things - I've also had beef soup, pork soup, spicy liver salad, and grilled beef. All but grilled beef were AWESOME! Searched what to eat at local area, was the opposite of the old town where we stayed, and saw the reviews and had to visit, nice restaurant with a lot of choices to eat.
