Cute little place we stumbled upon! Tried the drink good for digestion since it had the combo of fruits I liked and who doesn’t need some digestion help especially when traveling ha. The lady is friendly. Free ginger which was added to our drink, very refreshing. The drink was actually really good! Not only is it refreshing, it’s made with real fruits that she cut up to blend with ice. It tasted real and healthy and delicious! Their menu also had food items as well and seating in the cute alley with a small “garden”. If we happen to be here again, I will definitely try another drink!

It didn't quite live up to the reviews, but it was pretty good. The highlight for me was the mac & cheese. Ultra-creamy and delicious. Cornbread had a nice flavor too (although the bottom layer was a bit tough, perhaps because it had been microwaved). And my partner enjoyed the ribs. I found the apple pie a bit disappointing. The apples were undercooked, the crust was pretty bland, and it was missing the punch of cinnamon you usually get with classic apple pie. But my partner liked it enough, so maybe I'm just picky. The homemade ice cream was a nice touch, but I would recommend churning it for a shorter amount of time. Otherwise it starts turning into butter and leaves a coating in your mouth. In the root beer float it was particularly noticeable because when the ice cream melted, there were buttery clumps. Overall though, it was a good experience. The owner was friendly and it's refreshing to see authentic American restaurants in Asia.

The flavor of all the meat was smokey good. I understand why he's serving duck, and it's great to have something non-standard, but I would have liked a bit of chicken instead. There is plenty of delicious BBQ sauce available to add to everything, but also a Thai spiced version of the same sauce base that was spectacular. For sides, I had the Lime Coleslaw and Cornbread. I very much liked the freshness of the coleslaw, but liked it even better when I took a bite of meat, sauce and coleslaw together. The cornbread was good, but every cornbread in my life will be compared to my grandmother's - and her's still wins. I look forward to going back. I'm happy to have Lone Star as an option in Chiang Mai. **If you're driving a car, I suggest parking out of Suthep Road toward Wat Suan Dok, and walking down the lane to Lone Star. The soi is quite tiny and parking isn't so easy, but it's just a short walk to the restaurant from Suthep**

Can't forget about the homemade apple pie and rum infused ice cream. If you haven't experience American BBQ or are missing it from the states, this place is a must. We will be coming back.

The smokiness was definitely there it just seemed like we were served meat that was days old. We really wanted to like it as you can clearly see all the effort put into customer education but we won’t be going back.
