Gorgeous architecture and beautiful designs and deco. When we were there the hotel is very quiet, it’s like we have the whole hotel to ourselves Everything is perfect. We stay in the suite, I just wish the bathroom was bigger and there is no bathtub

Nicely decorated and very quiet hotel. Staying there was a complete pleasure. My biggest surprise was the restaurant and I enjoyed seeing a very professional team working there, cooking some very delicious dishes during our stay. I would also like to suggest changing the shower heads in the bathroom !

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Really lovely. The service is, however, not on par with the buildings and grounds. While absolutely fine, it lacks the finesse that the hotel holds itself out as having and that's disappointing. Everyone there is lovely, just not great when it comes to customer service. I suspect that the unobtrusiveness that I read about in other reviews might be a lack of confidence on the part of the staff. That said, if you go here expecting somewhat clunky and rusty service delivered with endearing goodwill, you won't be disappointed and, unlike me, you'd give it 5 stars.

Beautiful grounds and space within the old village. Service was outstanding in some areas but average in others. Restaurant better than anticipated in the evening, which was a highlight of short stay. Unfortunately our room was on a second story with a substantial set of stairs and no view after the climb (with an injured leg 😉). We’ve stayed in Chiang Mai a number of times and I would put Rachamanka in middle of my pecking order with respect to value and attention. The hotels location is good without being outstanding but the grounds are an oasis once inside. Alignment of cost to luxury not there due to my constant unexpected steep stair climb and sorting things out myself.

We had a 2 bedroom suite at this boutique hotel. The rooms and property are very nice and tastefully decorated. The location is very close to the Sunday night market which is a must see. Breakfast was a la Carte and included and very good.

Stayed here for an on-site wedding and can’t recommend Rachamankha enough. Gorgeous hotel with exceptional service, comfortable furnishings, beautiful pool and lounge area, and an impressive complimentary breakfast offering (they have a la carte options as well). Conveniently located and easy to get to, only ~15 min from the airport. All staff we interacted with were warm, friendly, and extremely helpful. The only thing I would recommend the hotel consider changing is the collection of large vases full of standing water in the courtyards – a potential breeding ground for mosquitoes. While we didn’t have too much trouble with them, other guests shared that they were experiencing the pesky mosquitoes. To their credit, the hotel does offer insect repellent in every room.

Similar to 127 pillars in Chiang Mai but nice dinners a few times and the rooms are quite nice.

Such a calming presence as soon as you’re greeted. Birds chirping and is about all that you might hear at this quiet property. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and the pooling is a great place to relax. I’m a stomach sleeper and the pillows for the bed were a bit too puffy but that’s my only criticism.

Our stay was exceptional. We enjoyed 4 days of luxury in beautiful surroundings. Outstanding service. Al a carte restaurant caters for every taste and preference. Excellent service. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Rachamankha was a great Chiang Mai choice for us - a couple looking for relaxation and a little sightseeing. Well appointed room and facilities - loved sitting in the reading room in the afternoon and visiting the bar for a pre-dinner drink. Restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner, if we wanted to eat in-house. Hotel staff were friendly and always helpful when needed.

I didn't sleep here but visited the restaurant and then walked the property. Amazing and the Buddha statute in the sitting area has great energy. Great art everywhere.

perfection - hotel was spotless, tranquil, the food was great and well priced but the real plus was the staff. Absolutely amazing. nice location - enough things to see and use in walking distance but also a lot more in a short taxi ride. we hope to go back next year.

Well I really don’t normally write long reviews . However , this boutique Hotel is fantastic . The rooms the staff and the food really are great. We stayed on 2 occasions in the last month . I used IHG points reward system and they accommodated my dates without any problems as I had to make changes a few times . This was no problem for them . The beds are really comfortable with nice touches in the rooms and solid antique beautiful furnishings throughout the property . Pancakes, waffles and crepes are a delight to waken up to in the morning . Thank you we will be back . Ant + Maria

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at. It is a joy to walk around the hotel and garden, taking in the immaculatly kept outdoors and wonderfully decorated place. The staff was super friendly, the breakfast delicious, even relaxing by the pool or in the lobby feels like a luxury. Congrats to the architect, the manager and the staff! I would come back to Chiang Mai just for this hotel. Highly recommended.

This boutique hotel set inside the old quarter of Chiang Mai town is sublime. The staff are amazing the hotel is so cool and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and super clean. Beds comfy and the aircon cool too. The pool although warmer than I am used to is lovely. All the little extras at this hotel make for a super relaxing stay. Everything is so close by in Chiang Mai too

A stunning property in a great location and it’s such great value for a beautiful property. Comfortable and beautifully styled, stunning building, nice gardens and the pool is great to come back to each day after exploring the city. The staff are wonderful. Four star property five star experience.

Stunning hotel to look at, excellent staff and quite the fanciest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The service is top-notch. I have to call out the smiling housekeepers, cheery front desk and obliging waiters. Everyone from the security guard at the gate to the swimming pool cleaner is happy to see a guest and eager to make everything perfect.

Beautiful hotel in the old town of Chiang Mai. Highly recommend. Service is excellent and the restaurant serves a mixture of local and international dishes all of which are very good.

I have lived in Chiang Mai for nine years and trust me, the Rachamankha is the most exquisite hotel in the city. The first time I discovered it, the restaurant and hotel took my breath away. Since then, I hosted a major birthday party at the hotel, stayed in a two-bedroom suite, and I eat at the restaurant alone or with friends so often that I have memorized the extensive menu and know all the wonderful waiters by their first names. The staff at the front desk, and the waiters in the restaurant are experienced, attentive and friendly. The general manager, Zaw, takes a personal interest in making sure guests know they are appreciated. And it's not unusual to see the owner making sure that everything is perfect down to the smallest detail. Honestly, I don't think any other hotel property in the city compares to the Rachamankha. It is in a class by itself.

Our stay at Rachamankha Hotel exceeded all of our expectations which were already very high before our arrival. Few minutes walking distance to all sights and restaurants within the wall. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. Staff attention is probably one of the best we have ever experienced. Hotel rooms are very clean and confortable. Had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, which offers a variety of western and thai dishes. There are little details that make it a boutique hotel such as decoration in the corridors and gardens, the fine porcelain dinner sets, the pool area, and fresh roses all over the place. We will for sure come back to Rachamankha Hotel.

Quaint, extremely aesthetic hotel right in the old town. The room and the pool are absolutely charming, and even the restaurant is so elegantly decorated with a gorgeous courtyard. Totally would recommend

Finest traditional Thai style boutique hotel in the heart of Chiangmai. Room is large with modern facilities, swimming pool, library and you can feel the calmness & peaceful vibe during your stay. Some parking are available in the front. The differences from others are library and art gallery.

I’m having a 5 star experience. Everything is so well thought out. The antiques and architecture are a delightful aspect of the hotel, next to the impressive service. I hope I can come back soon.

Wonderful hotel, traditional, quiet, lovely, very good taste. Very kind staff. Architecture & history lovers will be touched by the very refined buildings (do not miss the Library) and furniture pieces of Rachamankha Hotel. Beautiful swimming pool. Simple, dark blue ceramic tiles and terracotta colored terrace. Very charming and authentic. Breakfast could be a bit different everyday (stayed there for 4 days and we would have loved to try different savors). Coffee is excellent. Highly recommend for people who look for peace and discretion while being surrounded by traditional and historical designs.

This hotel embodies true serenity and beauty. If you appreciate design and a quiet adult only atmosphere-you will love this hotel. Everything is perfection and cohesive, from the moment you walk onto the property you feel like you're in an oasis from the busy city of Chiang Mai. The hotel is extremely clean and serene-it truly feels like spa or retreat. The breakfast is so beautiful-they serve you with fine blue and white china and have a fire going. The food is excellent. I highly recommend eating at the restaurant for dinner as well. The food was truly incredible and their cocktails are too. They take care in every single detail, from the flowers they put out-to the crystal glasses they serve their cocktails in. This hotel is true perfection.

Of the bar and restaurant..... both were fine, good standards. Very good ambiance and I doubt it will ever be crowded. The staff all try hard to be helpful but they do get confused with English which results in some mistakes with ordering.

Great beautiful hotel but a few things kept it from a five star experience. The room shower water pressure is weak in the room no.16 we stayed in. The shower room tile feels cheap and drain is uncomfortably loud. Staff are great and try their best to accommodate. Convenient location to explore the city. Breakfast tastes bland and choices are lacking.
