Chiang Mai is my favorite in Thailand. Make sure you book your hotel/hostel in old city. There are lots of cafes, restaurants. Sunday market is huge! You can buy very cool stuff there. Also visit night markets. There is live music every night. I loved every moment I spent there.

I stayed here recently for 11 nights. The location is excellent, walking distance to all in old city. Great spot in the terrace bar to people watch and the service was always excellent. Rooms great for money. Cleaned excellently every day. Great place that I highly recommend and will return too again. Thanks to all at the hotel and terrace bar for service and being nice people 😀

Absolutely loved this place. It might look a little old outside but the rooms are newly renovated. The family room is spacious and all 5 of us plus our luggage had more than enough space. Location is great too as it's on the Walking Street and all we needed to do was to walk downstairs to visit the night market. Only drawback is the lack of lifts. But the staff were helpful enough with our tons of luggage.

The hotel location is perfect and the owner is kind and helpful. The room was good despite the strong smell of humidity when we first arrived, which disappeared with the use of aircon. Things to note is the lack of lift but I didn't think it was such a big issue as there are not that many floors. I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a good quality and budget friendly hotel !

We ordered french fries, price was 150 bath for a very very very small portion. Never saw a portion so small as this. Also the staff wantend to go home so were rushing us. The salad we ordered was good. So a high price for this region but food quality was good.

We arrived at the hotel at 8:30pm along with 4 other guests to find the hotel doors were locked and all lights turned off. We rang the number on the door and was asked to wait 10 mins as everyone had gone home. About 15 mins later we was let in by the cleaner who also had to check us in as a “favour” to his boss? We was then given room keys to a room with 2 singles when we had booked a double room, we explained this to the cleaner who told us to ring his boss to sort this out. The boss was very blunt and told us we was given 2 singles as they had ran out of doubles but we was not warned of this when we made our booking. The following evening we tried the hotel restaurant for our dinner where we both had the chicken fried rice. The chicken was inedible and uncooked and very overpriced. The following morning we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and extend one more night as our flight wasn’t until the following morning and saved the hassle of moving our bags, we extended at the front desk for one more night with breakfast included to apologise for the mess up with rooms. Then when we went down for our breakfast the receptionist told us the manager wouldn’t allow us to have the breakfast as we hadn’t paid even though we was told this was included. Very rude staff and very disappointing stay as a whole.

NO! No Window 🪟 Feel sad, depressing: Like jail/prison No elevator (Room on 3rd floor) No person at desk and lock 🔒 is on floor so hard to bend down Bad bed 🛌 Not comfortable and noisy Noisy doors 🚪 Noise from outside Not quiet Broken Outlet plug Bathroom smell bad Bad chair I will never come back here & it’s one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been to! The pictures are totally fake! The only good thing was they let us get a refund I feel very sorry for anyone who accidentally books this hotel. NO! NO! NO!

Booked a windowed room for additional price, however the window was in the bathroom and can not open. The room was average, but the location was great for NYE, about 10 minutes to the gate, in the middle of the night market. The breakfast was average. Warning if you don’t stay here they charge you 10Baht to use the toilet.

The overall staff were very friendly and relaxed. The cleaning staff, in particular, were amazing and very professional. They didn’t knock on my door to ask to clean the room in the mornings and they did a fantastic job each day in the way that they made the room look untouched.

(Translated by Google) Watch out for parking! If the sidewalk is red and white it is 400 bats fine plus 100 bats taxi to go to the police station charged with parking fines that is outside the city. We did not have a fine yet and asked the policeman to be lenient, especially since I was disabled and stopped for 2 minutes to buy water for my medication but the policeman was watching us with a He had a big sadistic smile, apparently he was enjoying it a lot. The city From my point of view the city has no interest, you will see temples that look like those you have seen and cafes for tourists who want to rest. Even night markets are less interesting than elsewhere. However, we did not have time to visit those of the weekend. Mountains The road to visit the mountains is a highway and is of no interest, you will understand we were overall very disappointed by Chiang Mai suddenly we will visit Pai which was recommended as more authentic.

I loveeddd this place. The owner was very helpful and nice. We booked the room for 4 nights in one room and I stayed with my dad and brother. We had an extra bed and they provided extra towels and water. The rooms are clean and good. Basic amenities are provided in the toilet. The location is great as you are nearby a lot of activities and restaurants. For two nights in a row we went to the night market nearby to enjoy some delicious food 😋 There’s also a tour service in case you want to visit some of the popular places in Chiang Mai. We didn’t try the restaurant downstairs but hotel guests get a 10% discount and room service is available. Would definitely come back to stay here for my next visit in Chiang Mai 🫶🫶

I stayed here for 2 nights only. The staff is extra kind and helpful. The director of the restaurant who organise the breakfasts was the best! He will try to comply with your needs for the breakfast as much as he can. Room are clean and big. Nothing to complain about! 100% recommended!

Nice & comfortable hotel with perfect location. Variety of menus at the restaurant/cafe of the hotel. Staff is truly helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the room is not sound proof, you could hear the noise from corridors easily especially if the room is next to the stairs.

We stayed here last December and we absolutely loved it. The location is amazing, literally at the heart of Old City Chiang Mai. The Sunday Night Market is at the hotel's doorsteps which made it very convenient. The restaurant downstairs is decent as well. We will definitely book again should we decide to go back to Chiang Mai.

It was my first place to arrive in Chiang Mai and I stayed in the Old City. It is great to be here, very interesting place, especially to live here for a while. The only downside to Chiang Mai city in general: From February to May there is a burning season. The whole city will be full of smog and it is a big health hazard. Basically impossible to stay in the whole Chiang Mai - just a warning for first time visitors.

Nice value hotel in a very walkable location. The room was up four flights of stairs (no elevator, which wasn't a problem for me) and more spacious than I expected. Special nod to housekeeping who would reliably refresh my room while I was out to lunch for an hour or so. My only minor gripe is that the chair in the room had a metal bar as the back so it was painful to work at my computer for any length of time.

LOVED LOVED LOVED. Spent 2 nights and then came back for another two nights. The staff were amazing. The rooms were lovely. The washing machine in the common area on the 4th floor was the best feature we’ve seen in a hotel so far. The 5 pouches of liquid softner from 7/11 got us 3 large washes. WOULD RETURN

A fantastic location in the centre of old town and the people were friendly. Our room was poor however and didn't service it until we insisted. A very low pressure shower, two thin pillows and a bed that sounded like a construction site when you moved. The room was quiet along with the air conditioning. Looking at some these other reviews we may be the odd ones out.

  • 2/5 Jordan M. 4 months ago on Google
My room looked very different from the photos listed here. It was dark without a single window, run down, and the sheets had blood and other stains on them. As another review mentions, the shower has almost no pressure and is a tiny bit of water dripping out. To top it off, there was really bad mold in the bathroom. I don't understand what's going on here for some people to have such drastically different experiences.

One of the nicest hotel we’ve stayed at in Chiang Mai. Perfect location with close proximity to Chiang Mai airport (20min car ride), right in the middle of the Sunday night market, also a short walk to street food at Chiang Mai gate. The owner and staff here are really friendly and kind, this place makes you feel like a home away from home :)
