Really beautiful and peaceful place in the middle of busy city. Nice to walk around the gardens and relax. Be careful if the grounds are wet after or during rain, the paths can be very slippery.

An amazing experience. The temple with many snakes. Also just a really nice, large, peaceful temple space just outside the central part of the city. 100% worth a visit.

This gets a five star rating for beautiful collection of buildings on this large site. The original Temple buildings and Chedi date back the the Mid 15th Century when King Tilokarat commissioned it's construction. A large Buddha Tree (Sri Maha Bo) from Sri Lanka is planted here.

Fascinating temple complex just outside of the old city center in Chiang Mai and an active worshipping place for Buddhist monks. The various Chedi are still mostly preserved though the main building has lost several statues on the side walls for what must have been a majestic view in its prime. Plenty of trees on the entire ground to create a very relaxing atmosphere where you can walk around in peace and gaze over the scenery. Also free of charge like most temples in CM.

A short walk from the Maya shopping centre, peaceful environment, despite being close to a busy road Old temple ruins set amongst trees, and some active temples as well. Plenty of snakes around, but not live ones....I hope

500+ year old temple founded by ancient Lanna king Tilokaraja who’s ashes remain there. Filled with ancient sacred fig trees as well as newer plant life introduced from around the world ranging from Madagascar to South America.

A peaceful and tranquil temple situated a bit further away from the main tourist areas of Chiang Mai. Known as the snake temple some of the buildings date back to the 1400's. Lots to see and you also have the opportunity to give a blessing at the main temple as well as placing a branch at the bodhi tree. Very quiet and barely any tourists so definitely worth a visit if you are looking for something a bit more peaceful and calming. You'll potentially need a taxi there and back as it is a bit far away and there is a main road you'll need to cross to get there and back from the main square. Definitely worth a visit.

More of a forest temple vibe in the middle of the city. Beautiful ruins and ancient architecture in a park setting. Mostly shaded and easy to park any vehicle. There's an unusual number of cobra statues around the shrines and monuments.

Famous temple in Chiang Mai. Great old temple but don't so crowded. You can use 20 minutes walk around for seeing the ancient beautiful building and sculptures or just sitting here for absorbing the calm and peaceful moment for a day.

Wat Maha Bodharam ( Wat Jedyod ) Wat Maha Bodharam or Wat Jedyod was established by King Tilokarat in 1455 A.D. He ordered his artisans to imitate the styles of Mahabodhi Hall of Bodh Gaya ( in India ) . It is assumed that the aim of this project was to celebrate the 2,000th anniversary of Buddhism

One of the Old Temple in Chiang Mai. Situated just near to Super Highway. Chet Yot defines Seven Tombs. Calm ambience, pray n make merit.

Nearly in the centre off chiang mai..beautiful little place..all quite, due to no tourist and the deadly virus outbreak. But it was good for us,as we could quite and leisurely enjoyed this place. Definitely will come back, once this deadly virus is under control and we can fly back there. If you ever have the opportunity to see it? Please do so. Plus there are few more temples around that area. Walking distance,no probably.. take care, stay healthy. Peace 🙏😷

🫤 We really like this place, could be a little cheaper in my opinion as not much to do after the 5min dinosaur part is over. Cafe is nice and the park is fun. The animals are not exactly looked after well, piglets had NO water I had to get it myself, they are in direct sunlight and all had sunburn. The...
