Don’t get confused by the most recent reviews here. This place, despite the information in google, is very much closedown. Not sure why people give reviews at this point. But you can enter the premises and enjoy the surroundings.

(Translated by Google) Good knowledge of Chiang Mai's history. But the disadvantage is that foreigners have to pay 3 times the ticket value of Thai people Should reduce the price a little Because foreigners come to see the museum He must really have an interest in Thai history.

The area is historical site of ancient wall and Phra Kaew Temple (玉佛寺). A combination ticket for three museum : Lanna Folklife museum, Chiang Mai City and Art & Culture Centre and Chiang Mai Historical Museum costs 180 Baht. one week valid.

One of the few attractions in Chiang Mai that are step free /wheelchair accessible inside and out by design and not just by chance. Sometimes there are craft fairs or other exhibitions in the gardens. Ticket price is 90 baht for an adult, if you are disabled you should be able to enter free of charge however I wasn't too impressed by what was on show apart from the collection of black & white photos of old streets and landmarks.

Exceptional place to learn of the local culture. Air conditioned inside and houses an actual archeological site. Can be a quick visit or spend a few hours taking in all the information. Only cost a few dollars.

Very interesting museum. Not very big. But if you take a guide you'll spend about 1.5 hour. I was there in August. I paid only 90 baht, for an English speaking guide who told me a lot of interesting things about the history of Lanna Kingdom and Chiang Mai. She answered all my questions and was very helpful. I recommend this place to those who want to have better knowledge and understanding of the history and lifestyle of Chiang Mai people!

A beautiful Thai comtemporary architectural building hosting a number of events and exhibitions, showcasing Thai art and designs ranging from traditional Thai arts and crafts to contemporary arts. Make sure to walk outside and the inside to see all of their works. Some big events like Chiang Mai design week are hosted here as well. Check their program for interesting events and exhibitions.

Was suprisingly good.. 180b pp for tourists for the 3 buildings. 90b for 1 building. Art exhibit at time of visit wasn't anything special compared to local art at night markets but I believe this is a temporary exhibition.

(Translated by Google) I was disappointed at the National Museum and I was very satisfied. Though not deep and detailed, the overall description of Chiang Mai's history, cities, life and culture is well documented with non-boring resources.

(Translated by Google) It was the smallest of the three museums in a row. I don't think you can go here. But there is a small library in a very fine beam was sitting quietly reading. When I say that I go to the library without buying a ticket, I will send it in.

Interesting and glad I went. Cheap entrance fee. Located in the old city near the Three Kings Monument. You need about 45 minutes to an hour. If you only have a little time, do the cultural museum next door which is better.

This museum is a great place to visit to understand what Chiang Mai is really all about. The museum is really broken down into three adjacent buildings. I suggest you get the pass for all three. It’s better value and you see a lot more exhibits in newly renovated buildings. The exhibits are well taken care of. No dust. Proper lighting. We had los expectations but were quite amazed when we got inside. The staff were young and friendly. Eager to practice their English. I’ve posted a lot of photos on google maps so y’all can see what it’s like.

We went today, August 25th, 2022, and the historic center is still closed due to construction. There is the cultural center next door with a few art exhibitions, but not much else to see. There is also a drip coffee shop in the cultural center that has nice indoor and outdoor seating in the courtyard.

This museum is included in a combination ticket with two others. It's okay, but the order of the exhibits is hard to follow and the English signage can be confusing at times. If you only have time for one museum in Chiang Mai, skip this and go to the arts and culture museum instead. The historical museum is fairly small and you can get through it in an hour or so. The boundaries of the Lanna and Siamese and Burmese kingdoms changed so frequently that it was hard to keep up. The dates in the museum also seemed to switch back and forth between the Buddhist calendar and the Western calendar, which added to some of the confusion.

It's quite small and there isn't a lot for the entry price, though what there is is pretty well executed. A lot of the information is duplicated in the two neighbouring museums. Worth doing if you get the ticket for all 3 museums near the 3 kings monument, bit otherwise don't bother

(Translated by Google) Admission is only 20 baht. Worth studying history The history of Chiang Mai in a well-done exhibition room There are ancient artifacts unearthed under the building to be seen as well. While the outside area is shady, suitable for relaxing Coming here, certifying that it is very worthwhile.

(Translated by Google) In the center of the old city of Chiang Mai, the place offers in particular the visit of the "Lanna Folklife Museum", the "Chiang Mai Historcal Museum" and the "Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Center. You can take an entry ticket allowing you to visit these 3 places. Cheaper, it is valid for several days. By the way, you will be given the opportunity to visit the "3 Kings Monument" as well as other places, museums (House of Photography for example) and other temples located nearby. Personally, I left the places I wanted to visit over 2 days. Personellement, j'ai reparti les lieux que je voulais visiter sur 2 jours.

Must be a real archeology buff to get a rise from this place. I found most of interest seeing ruins embedded in present day village living. This is unlike most archeology sites we've been to where everything has been sanitized.
