The market is open only on Sundays and it is the largest one in Chiang Mai. It starts to get busy at 6 pm and stretches along the road from The Phae Gate to Wat Phra Singh. There are many stalls selling food and drinks, as well as clothes and souvenirs. You can find anything you want at this market. All you need is a hungry stomach to enjoy the rich variety of street food.

I came to Chiangmai 7 years ago and now again. The Sunday night market here never disappoints me. It's absolutely amazing! With various delicious food. Lots of handicraft artists around the region come to the market. There are lots of beautiful Japanese Thai style products. You can also have a foot massage. It feels great to have one after walking so long. Definitely a must to visit!

Definitely should do if in Chiang Mai, lots of interesting stalls selling crafts, food, clothing etc. Everything stops briefly at 6.00pm when the national anthem is played. This is all about local people bring their things to sell so it's good if tourists can support locals by buying one or two things.

Really interesting Night Market. Each corner you turn, there's about a mile of walking, looking, stopping, and purchasing. Food is great, the atmosphere is very welcoming and you could find just about anything it is you're looking for. You may even stumble up on some items you never imagined you'd find. Great Sunday night MarketπŸ“ΏπŸ’―

We are so happy to come here on 15/5/2022 Sunday πŸ™πŸ» So much to see, eat, buy and explore. Many beautiful important temples in the area. Chiang Mai should consider doing this Walking Street on both Saturday & Sunday! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜

One of the best market experience in Asia. You can find anything you look for. A lot of artisans gather here from all the nearby villages and sell their products. There are also planty of street food corners scattered all around the market. And also i really enjoyed walking by so many beautiful temples while shopping

Amazing experience! Definitely expect that it will be super crowded as it's incredibly popular for the food and the souvenirs. I recommend seeing as much as you can before buying anything, as you'll find a lot of duplicates and may prefer one over the other. And don't forget to try as much food as you can!

Great market and unlike a lot of other night markets we have been to, this one seemed to have an endless range of different stalls and some very good street food too. We ate pork and basil stir fry from a lady selling inside the car park area of one of the temples. We all had a great evening and were really happy to have made the effort to visit when the market was on

The Sunday Night Market in Chiang Mai is an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling to this enchanting city. It is a vibrant and bustling market that offers an incredible variety of experiences and delights for visitors. As soon as you step foot into the market, you are greeted by a kaleidoscope of colors, sounds, and aromas. The market is filled with rows upon rows of stalls selling everything from handmade crafts and clothing to delicious street food and traditional Thai snacks. It's a shopper's paradise, where you can find unique souvenirs, beautiful textiles, and intricate artwork to bring back home. The food at the Sunday Night Market is simply outstanding. You can indulge in a wide array of local delicacies, from flavorful stir-fried dishes and aromatic curries to freshly grilled skewers and sweet treats. Don't miss the opportunity to try the famous mango sticky rice, a delightful combination of sweet mangoes and sticky coconut rice that will leave you craving for more. Navigating through the market can be a bit overwhelming due to the crowds, but it's all part of the charm. Take your time to explore the different sections, interact with the friendly vendors, and don't forget to bargain for the best prices. The market is a melting pot of cultures, with visitors from all over the world mingling with the locals, creating a truly unique and diverse atmosphere. In conclusion, the Sunday Night Market in Chiang Mai is a must-visit destination. This night market is awesome. It's one of the biggest ones in Thailand. You can get back and leg massages for an hour for 160 Baht. You can find food and many souvenirs. Also there are a lot of busking performances. It's a really nice experience.

I’ve been to a number of markets / night markets in South East Asia and this is easily the best one I’ve been to! There are tonnes of handicraft stalls oozing with local talent. I was thoroughly impressed by the kindness of these people and I picked up some beautiful goodies! I recommend coming early to this market as it gets really busy at nightfall. Don’t forget to try some of the streetfood! And there are plenty of tasty treats on offer!

Such a surreal experience. I loved every minute of it. I have a fascination with street food. So you can imagine how I felt by the end of it. I just couldn't stop trying everything. There are also loads of other things to buy from bags made from IKEA bags to face creams

Great Walking Street market in the heart of Old Chiang Mai. Huge variety of clothing, arts and crafts as well as amazing Street Food. There are many restaurants and bars along the way and if you can get a first floor seat by a window in one of them you can look down on the hustle and bustle of the market. Definitely worth a visit in Chiang Mai but only open on Sundays from 5 pm

The Sunday Night Walking Street that only available on Sunday, a ling stretch of local vendor and the branching out on both sides for foods and local eatery, a lovely choices of good foods and good local handicrafts for souvenirs, prepare to walk a lot form side-to-side is around 1,000-1,500 meters, come in by publics transportation or call the Grab!... traffics around the area is very bad!...due to the road closing for the event!....

One of the biggest walking street in Chiang Mai. Sunday only. It is very big so prepare your legs for it or you will need a foot massage at the end of the night or next day. Lot’s of handcrafted products which my wife really loves and lots of food at cheap price for me as well, you never go to sleep hungry here in Thailand πŸ˜†. Love this market.

Change is colours at night. This is one of the best night market that you may enjoy the people, culture, and lifestyle. Famous among tourist and local people. Full of great colours and entertainment among the streets. Named as for the location nearby the Tha Phae Gate.... Which is luminous at night and look very interesting. This might market streets have di much of handmade local product to offer. Most of the items are souvenirs that you might interested to bring back home. Besides, traditional garment or fabrics that you can buy here, there's so many end product such as fashion clothing are selling here. Absolutely amazing place to be

Only on Sundays, this was the best (and maybe the largest) among the night markets I’ve been in town. There were very interesting items everywhere, not very repetitive products as the other markets. You’d want to search every corner, every street branches, to look for treasures. The food here was the most awesome as well! We even took away for breakfast & lunch the day after. It was that tasty! And cheap!

Genuinely a really nice market. Full of different options of food, and if you want a souvenir to take home, this is definitely the place. If you walk down one side you'll find there's a whole other side to explore. Designate a night to visit this place, its worth the trip πŸ˜†

Visit the street around 5pm,people are gathering and enjoy some music performance. Grabbed the coconut smoothie, it was delicious. Then went to food night market, had pad chat , some kind of Thai omelet with rice. BBQ chicken is tasty. It's better you use toilet before you come because the the public toilet is not free.

A nice walking street that is very busy on a Sunday. The other markets in the area tend to be closed and everyone seems to set up in the old city. Lots of different items with a lot of friendly vendors selling items such as figurines, scented soy candles, food, drinks, smoothies, coffees and lots of different pieces if clothing and jewellery. There are also a lot of hand made items. The walk is lovely and takes you past many local temples so it's nice to pop in and have a look to break up your walk. We purchased many items and were happy with the quality of the products. Definitely worth the visit on the Sunday.

Sunday night walking street market is open again as of 21 November 2021! So many vendors selling a huge variety of goods. They start at 16:00 and go until the crowds start to thin out, but the best time to go is around 18:00 as the sun goes down. It was great to see they were doing temperature scans and giving everyone hand sanitizer at the entrances. It's a must if you're in town on Sundays.

Spend your Sunday evening and take a stroll down the walking street, you can still find food stalls and vendor selling clothes and apparel. Many has changed since Covid19 took over the city, but people are still hustling, come support whenever you are around Chiangmai.
