This is not the silver temple, some people are talking about. Nevertheless here they have also has a metallic temple. It has beautiful artwork. This temple is mentioned since 1432, so it is an very old monastery. The monastery was renovated in 1799, and in this time they brought people from the West Bank of the Salwin river, the population of the Ban Ngual Lai community. This were skilled silversmiths and they formed the community of Ban Ngual Lai Muen San, with the monastery as it's centre. The monastery has a silver museum. The main temple was closed, I assume because of the many birds. Behind the main temple is a pagoda. It looks ancient, but information tells it is about 50 years old.

Nice 3D silver artwork. The silver temple in the north is gender discrimination, but this silver temple doesn't. In Chiangmai, being women are facing full of discrimination. The north silver temple and city pillar.... Thai ladies, why?

Amazing location. The details are amazing and unlike the other silver temple close by, women are allowed inside. Definitely worth the time. Every detail is attended to here.

Unfortunately the main Temple building is closed but there are several things worth seeing on this site. Some beautiful metal work in the Suttajitto Art Gallery, constructed as a representation of the Wua Lai Silverware Village; however it can't compare to the Silver Temple in the nearby Wat Sri Suphan. The Pagoda looks old and weathered, but it was actually constructed between 1922 to 1927 in Lanna style mixed with Thai Yai style.

Place seems like it was no longer occupied. Fences around the temple and doors were closed off. We're able to only walk around the outside of temple and admire the structure.

There is a beautiful silver decorative temple. You should see it when you come Chiang mai. There is also Japanese memorial.

Wat Muen San is a hidden gem, close to another silver temple. The detailed silver main temple is beautiful. You might see volunteers sculpting new plates for a future temple.

Gorgeous silver temple unlike the other silver temple nearby women can enter the temple here. At the other silver temple women are not allowed in due to menstruating and being unclean
