In terms of how the temple looks is not what my rating was made of. It was an additional attribute what I feel is important which is how I felt I was greeted. I have been back to this temples on a few occasions to meditate. If you are just wanting to go to a temple to look around and take some photos then itโ€™s certainly worth a visit. However if like me you are wanting to meditate, find out more about the temple and routine... then donโ€™t expect to be supported with this. I have also visited at times that temples do evening prayer and meditation and this has not happened. I also greeted one of what I believe is the senior monks and felt his response was quite cold and dismissive. Again though I am unsure that I know enough about the culture and maybe my expectations were to high.

It is breathtaking and a peaceful place to reflect.

If you are on the road, stop by for a moment. There is no group tourists and no ticket office. All I want to say is, listen to the bell in the quiet place. You can cool off your sweat and walk again. This quiet place is suitable for you to travel alone. I hope this place is not known to noisy people.

Pretty and rather small temple in the middle of Chiang Mai's street and night life. The highlights of this temple are the massage and Yoga classes, you can get there. All instructors are very professional and empathic and take on the instructions from a holistic perspective. I can fully recommend Wat Loi Kroh, if you want to get a good massage or Yoga course.

Wat Loi Kroh, nestled in the heart of Chiang Mai, unfolds a tapestry of history and spirituality. Established in the 16th century, this venerable temple holds roots in the Lanna Kingdom, witnessing the ebb and flow of time within its sacred precincts. Initially built to serve as a meditation retreat for monks, Wat Loi Kroh gradually evolved into a revered center for contemplation and community. With intricate architecture adorned in traditional Lanna style, the temple stands as a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage. The name "Loi Kroh" is derived from the canal that once surrounded the temple grounds, enhancing its serenity. Over centuries, Wat Loi Kroh has weathered the tides of change, preserving its sanctity and cultural significance. Today, Wat Loi Kroh continues to be a haven for those seeking spiritual solace, with its peaceful ambiance and the echoes of centuries-old rituals. Pilgrims and visitors alike are welcomed to explore the tranquil grounds, where the whispers of history and the sacred resonate through the intricate carvings and timeless architecture of this revered Chiang Mai gem.

Best place for a rest in the crazy bar area. Its famous for paying respect to Jฤซvaka Komฤrabhacca statue. Those who seeks to learn Thai massage or Ayurvedic treatment and medicine should stop by for a good blessings.

An amazing experience to be around so many years of culture and religion. I canโ€™t say too much, so come and see for yourself when you come here. Which is a must!!!

Peaceful!!! Another beautiful temple that isn't busy, I came here and prayed. It's quite large, some friendly monks, and overall a nice place to stay and thank the world!

This temple was just up the road from the hotel so I popped in often to snap photos. Depending on the time of day and how the sun hit the pagoda, it was a really beautiful sight. Peaceful gardens and refreshing shade to escape the intensity of the sun during the day

I warn you I rate all temples 5 stars. Picking apart the difference between them more often overlooks each one's importance. Each one makes Chiang Mai so special.

Beautiful temple on Loi Kroh road in the middle of the "red light district" in Chiang Mai. This temple is a super peaceful enclave located smack dab in the middle of Chiang Mai's small red light district. There is a beautiful wat and an impressive chedi in a large courtyard area. Wander in as you stroll down Loi Kroh and be impressed by this Wat.
