Very unpleasant experience. Stayed 7 nights. Agoda booking quoted A/C, fridge, toiletries included, but were not. Small basic room which was not particularly clean, Very uncomfortable bed with a plastic mattress. Noisy at nights from nearby bars and other guests. Room never cleaned, sheets and towels never changed. Wifi mostly didn't work. Laundry quoted as 40baht per kilo was charged at 90baht per kilo at check out. Although this is a budget option, you can do a lot better for less money and in a more central location. Give it a miss.

Uhm yeah no, at first glance this place appears to be a cute family run guesthouse with oddly coloured rooms, a rather hard mattress if thats not your thing, okay showers and not much place to hang out as the common room is basically the reception and the living room of the family, there is a little rooftop though where you can sit on a chair in the dark hanging out with the mozzies, anyway its a cheap place so it was all good and the grandma is cute, however when we tried to check out it turned out to be not as okay of a place, after our short stay we had left small stains of blood in the bedsheet, the owner was quick to find them and was set on not letting us go without paying for new sheets as blood is surely not washable, as we all know it is, pretty easily, so we told him repeatedly, we offered to wash it for him, he was being pretty rude about everything and accused us of lying and pretending to act ignorant, it was hard because he also used his son, who we liked, against us, after a while it just felt like he was trying to make some extra money off of some young tourists as he didn’t want us to wash the sheets in his hostel and all, after a lot of hassle with the dude he let us go wash the sheet ourselves, we managed to find a water bucket outside and washed out the blood with a little soap, the son came to check on us and when the owner saw the clean sheet he walked away with a grumpy face without saying a word, i didn’t want to believe it first but it just feels like he was trying to scam us a little, he was saying he had blood before and it did not come out which may well be true but its not like he wanted to try give it a little wash himself or let us show how to do it, i think he was out for the money, if you want a cheap place and are model customers i’m sure you’ll have an okay time, otherwise maybe better avoid this place or be sure to stand up to the owner when he sees a chance to take some moneyyyy, its sad to see how a place like this can turn into something so negative when the intentions are not right, owner person if you are reading this, that really wasn’t a nice way to deal with things, i hope you are okay and can one day trust and enjoy the travellers that come visit, excuse me for the bad review, i am posting this with hope you will find more love and compassion in your heart

Bad experience! And a bit confusing, when we arrived very early in the morning we were a bit shocked on how dirty the entry was. But there were guest so we stayed positive. Later arround the time we could check in, we asked if we could see the room first. Also we had a long journey by bus from Bangkok, we wanted to put away our bags first. The owner kept insisting that we payed first before seeing the room. And not in a friendly way!! This made us kind of suspicious and uncomfortable. He ended up sending us away with no good reason. So bad vibes all over

Great location, nice and welcoming people, clean rooms, perfect WiFi. I think it's the best deal for a basic private room in the oldtown.

A bit tricky to find, but a very clean place near the center with a lot of different restaurants and bars around. The room was big enough, but the bathroom door was not usable. WIFI works good, it was quite at night and the family is very friendly ;) We also checked in early without expecting to enter the room but it was no problem.

For the price, it is actually really good. The location is good, it's easy to get everywhere, the owners are very helpful and are really friendly. If you stay for a few days it's perfect. You don't have a lot in your room, but it's everything you could hope for.

I love this place, this is my third year here and I plan to keep coming back. Great family-run establishment, super clean and just the right place that accepts both short term and long term stays. <3

Family hostel where we feel like home everybody are so prevenant..the room with fan and private bathroom with a balcony...the location is perfect and quiet but near all the things to do and see...thank you all for your welcoming

This place felt like home for us. We were there for 5 nights in two different rooms and they were both grate. Pretty big rooms, with balcony and the place is very clean. The host was so nice to us, always in a mood for a chat, available and with great advices. His family also very nice and welcoming and they have a cute dog. We booked from there a day trip and a transport to pai. The location is grate as well. We will miss this place!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights. Initially we booked for one night as we weren't sure how long we would be staying in Chiang Mai. It cost us 330bath/night for a room with a private bathroom and a fan. Then we booked for another 5 nights and the host charged us 300bath/night. Quality/price: 10/10 The host is super friendly, the hotel is very well located, the room is clean (a bit dated but we don't mind), and we can have hot water in the shower! In addition, there is Master Wang who is always there to welcome us!! Nice stay in Chiang Mai!!🙏

The owners are really nice people , clean room has AC and hot shower , comfy bed ,center of Chiang Mai . Highly recommend

Even tho we got a room with less features than expected but it was fine, Kai made it up by his kindness to help us out when needed. So he gets 5 stars. Overall clean and supernice owners!

We stayed 2 nights in u&me hostel. Staff were very nice and friendly even though we arrived later at night. Rooms are clean and comfortable enough. WiFi is good. What will put you off is the entrance and the reception. It absolutely stinks and is full of rubbish, the smell is horrendous, makes you vomit. I hope that they do a good deep clean there.

Best hostel in Chiang Mai! The hosts were lovely and friendly and the room was in perfect condition. We had a great week there with the puppies as well :) highly recommend.
