I booked this place last minute for one night. I rode past it on a bicycle a day earlier and thought it had charm from the street. I really wanted to be able to disagree with most other reviews and find more charm in this place, but after a near sleepless night on a rock hard bed, I just cannot. I am all for a firm mattress, but dear God, this was brick-like firm. I'm not sure it can even qualify as a mattress. It is more of a torture vehicle. I will say that the sheets and towels were clean, and the staff were helpful. The greenery around the place and the pool are picturesque. The room was a good size, and the air conditioner worked great. The shower had good pressure and hot water. I loved the location. The place needs repair; the deck boards are loose and hazardous, the bedroom walls were cracked, the bathroom needed one heck of a cleaning, as did the floor, and the wifi was okay, not awesome. If you book this place, I hope you are traveling with a foam mattress pad.

The location is really great and the patio by the pool is a good place to hang out. However, our room was dank and poorly maintained. There's gaps in the door and holes in the floors where critters can come in. We tried to spend as little time in the room as possible.

Absolutely amazing place, felt like a second home to us and the location is perfect....sunset over the mountains and nature, and then a short walk into the middle of Pai walking street and the night markets. The owners are so lovely and the free breakfast is great too. Free drinking water, lots of tea and coffee and there are always fresh bananas

The location is amazing but the rest of it is a bit lacking. The staff can barely speak English but Google translate helped me with the trickier things. They don't have amenities like stoppers for the sink drain or somewhere to hang your clothes. The rooms are moist and dank. The bathrooms are pretty gross. But they have the best hot water heater I've used yet in Thailand. Don't pay more than 500/night here.

The pool is more of a pond as the pump isn’t working and it’s being topped up with a hose everyday. I spent 1/2 hour killing mosquitos when I arrived, no shampoo in bathroom. The room had paint peeling off the walls and the baseboards were coming off in many spots. My bed was falling apart with crooked legs and loose boards it made noises as I tossed and turned on the super hard mattress. The AC worked great and the location is on point but otherwise this place is condemned by Canadian standards.

Overall this is a pretty good place if you're looking for something in the medium range. We got an air conditioned room for 700/night, with private bathroom and of course access to the pool, which makes this place stand out a little from the places around it. The area is good, quiet at night (pool closes at 21:00) but it's close to lots of bars and restaurants (check out 29 Cafe across the street, their fruit shakes are cheap and very good). Wifi is free if you stay there, much like many other places around. The rooms are ok, and the showers leave a good bit to be desired. Same room as the toilet with no curtain (it will be wet when you're done) and the mouthpieces are not so good. But the pool does make up for it when you just want to cool off. Overall worth a visit.

The other reviewers seem to sum up my feelings pretty well. The rooms aren't super clean, and definitely could use some maintenance work. But the location is great, and the staff was very friendly and nice.

Excellent location. Clean rooms. OK toilets. No 5 star rating because a hotel water pipe broke and we didn't have water for more than a day. Helpfull staff. Great common areas.
