Awesome little gem of a bar in Chiang Mai. The staff are so kind and friendly. There is free billiards and other bar games (connect four, chess, etc.). There is live music once in awhile. The drink prices are good as well.

Look for Jazz session bar but couldnt find one. Pop into this bar. Kind of session bar but not playing Jazz. The atomosphere is still good but band music is awful.... I mean house guitarist plays music alone for years, I guess. So, its not really like music. He needs to listen to the other instruments sound n his sound when playing.I like any sort of music but havent heard awful music like this for years. Music starts from 22:00.

Sam still loves to jam! If you play an instrument, ask they will happily oblige! Free pool and they always have a smile on! 2 night's in a row and wouldn't want to go anywhere else! Prices are reasonable but the host's make it incredible value!

Amazing place of hospitality, Thai culture and pure fun. Come Stop by for a few drinks and you will leave with friends for life.. Meet the owners (Sam and Cat) listening to their amazing story all while drinking a cold one jamming to live music. (Guitar players welcome!) Went here to have a beer and sit quietly. Before long, a pudgy, tacky girl cozies up to me. Ok, I buy her a drink but I’m not interested. Becomes 2 drinks to which I consented. Bar close at midnight and manager begins her count. I ask for the bill and hand her my 1000 baht. Takes forever for her to give me my change. Don’t mind just tell me. Meanwhile pudgy pours herself another drink. Money counter is irritated when I ask for my change. When she finally coughs it up, I’m charged for pudgy’s 3rd drink, to which I never consented to. Not worth haggling over but they obviously wanted to get everything they could out of me. I went to the Lou and when I left, two girls couldn’t manage to look me in the eye and say goodnight. There’s many better bars than this thinly veiled shake-down joint. Girls not cute either.

Tiny backstreet cultural bar…pure pride in a little business…excellent service constantly cleaned whilst you are here, cheap drinks, live music, sports and games galore…honestly if u want a taste of a local bar doing its very best with what it has you have to stop by! the owner couldn’t be more courteous and attentive…overall feeling of being made welcome 🙏

Beautiful, colourful and cozy bar run by an amazing and endlessly kind woman😊 the pool table is very nice, there's boardgames and darts -- all in all, everything you could want to have a lovely night🙌 drinks are on the expensive side

I mean it's one of the better bars of Chiang Rai, it's small the staff is lovely, and the vibe is a bit dingy but it's cheap, got a pool table and you can put music on the big screen yourself. Honestly not bad at all.

Great bar, the bar tender was very friendly. We loved the ambience right before dinner time, very quite and with nice music. Also, they have plenty of board games!!

Best place in Chiang Rai. It has a free pool, games, and very friendly staff. When we were there it was hot and she kept adjusting the fans to make sure we weren't hot. She also brought some snacks out for us as well. 100% recommend!

Absolutely love this place. Cat who runs the place is just amazing. Music is good and always a great atmosphere. She even provides games in case your company is a bit dull.

Really nice bar in the heart of the city. We were looking for a place to go late on a Monday evening and Cat Bar was open. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Not sure what the negative reviews are complaining about, owners were super friendly and we had a great time playing pool.

Cool little place where you can go and Jam the night away

Cat & Sam are genuine friendly people who will welcome you. Jam with Sam is a motto there. He welcomes anyone who sings or plays something to jam with him. Had some fun jamming guitar & singing with him last month (Nov. 2020). ps. He has a selection of instruments to play.

The owners are the some of the nicest people you’ll meet in Thailand!! Great free pool table, darts board and loads of games to play; uno, connect 4 and dominoes etc. Also one of the only place we found showing football. Live music from ‘Jam with Sam’ every night keeps it fun, great prices too!
