Authentic Northern-Thai food near the river. Great vibes and reasonable price. One of the best and famous Northern-Thai food in Chiang Rai.

a large restaurant, we had booked, because there are a lot of people waiting for a place. It's very good lots of Thai food, big enough for the parking lot. It was on Saturday evening difficulty to find a place for the car, the staff very pleasant. I will come back to it. there are a lot of people who come to this restaurant, the best thing is to book on site. But if you can't book go there there is a wait for seats people to wait the service is very fast

Don't bother unless all you want is the river side location/view. Fried food is overdone (see pictures of fried liver and pork neck), food portions are small. Extremely disappointed. Wonder if it's because my table of 8 wasn't local. Either way, please don't waste time coming here, suggest just going to the local night market where you pay less for more quality food ironically.

Famous local restuarant with local taste. The food is Thailand Northern style, it might very hot n spicy some menu so ask waitress about spicy level. Need some local food, try here.

So glad we visited Lu Lam on our last night in Chiang Rai. We were a bit surprised to be the only farangs in the whole place, considering how much I had read about the restaurant on line. The restaurant is huge and was absolutely packed when we arrived at 7:30pm. Found it a bit strange that the kitchen closed at 8:30, and the entire restaurant was empty by 9pm. Not something we had experienced at any other restaurants in Thailand, so certainly go here early. The food was great. The menu is massive and there's a big choice of more 'standard' Thai food (tom yum, som tum, green curry etc.) as well as more local/Northern foods with ingredients like duck beaks and worms, so you can decide how adventurous to be. They only have red wine available for purchase, but it seemed as though you could BYO if you wanted. Not a huge amount of vegetarian options available, but I made do and certainly didn't leave hungry.

A popular riverside restaurant frequent by the local & PRC tourists. TBH, I find the food a bit commercial. I think they pre-cooked and served them accordingly. That probably explain the speed. Taste wise is a bit….how to say it…..blend? Lots of internal organs if you asked me.

Average Thai cuisine. Nothing exceptional. The only advantage of this establishment is its location overlooking the river. But there are many other establishments on this river. Very young and unfriendly staff. No smiles.

The place was nice. View was amazing. Food were all great. Taste was 👍👍. Friendly staffs and they are even present near your table to assist you even serving your drinks. Well, actually they do not have tp it coz we customers have hands to serve our drinks. But thanks for their service. Highly recommended. Will surely come back.

It is my first time here to try on northern food which is located along the kok river. The environment is good and there is varienty of choices. The ordered food taste good for me and recommended when visit to chaingrai

Thanks for our Thai friends! Else we wouldn’t know about this Thai restaurant by the river frequented by Thai celebrities! It’s about 30mins ride away from Singha Park. Parking was easy, well at least for bikers. Their northern cuisines were so authentic. Probably one of the best we’ve tried in the north! Not forgetting the affordable price point! Must visit if you are in Chiang Rai!

Not the greatest eating experience that I have had here up in Chang Rai. So going to make the easy, the food is just ok. Traditional Thai food with northern that style as well. Which that is jot the real issue. Parking from what I got is just side on the street, which all the seating for this place I hope we are wrong on this, and there is more parking else where. Which thank you for anyone helping us out really park, and proceed to make comments about how we were parking. Or at least that what I was told by family members. Tons of employees sitting around making sure others tables drinks are filled, but not ours. That’s pretty bad service, especially when I think I see an employee chewing on her finger nails? She’s a server I hope she remembers to wash her hands after doing that before serving the next guest. Also being sat in the sun, where everyone else had nice shaded spots was a real nice treat as well. Plus if you check through my other reviews I am really easy going, and even places that get harsh reviews from others I find always seem to be wrong. But I can’t do it here, I see a lot of other good reviews, and hope this was just one of those one times with my family, and myself.

Visit this restaurant on your trip to Chiang Rai, convenient located on route from Chiang Mai. The restaurant is also a short driving distance to the famous Blue Temple. Eating along the riverside is also a great experience!

Ambience was good. I ordered two dishes but they forgot about my one dish so we just cancelled it as they took quite awhile to serve the dishes. The food that I had was quite good though. Come early as they got long queue around 6pm.

I went here early, still they were busy to open. But staffs are very kind, and tried to understand me well. I appreciate. Food was good, and the riverside vibe was good,too. I would like to visit for dinner in the evening next time.

All dishes that we ordered was delicious. This place quite crowded even during pandemic.

I was not impressed from the first moment I walked in. I called to make a reservation, and was told to walk in as there were available tables. I got there within 10 minutes, and was told that they did not have any tables and to just wait — which turned out to be around 20-30 minutes wait. The portion of the food was large. However, the taste was so so. It’s definitely not memorable. I also found hair in the soup, raising the issue of food hygiene.

The most I can give this place is a 3 and a half stars was a nice place but not overly excited about the food you can eat it but the presentation of the food was nothing to write home about

Nice place to have a local northern Thai food. The restaurant is by the river, quicte nice ambiance only that there are lots of people in the restaurant. Food is good. Service is ok.
