Top points for great ambiance! We only had coffee and cakes. I had the signature weeks honey cafe latte which was a tad too sweet but otherwise delicious. Hubby had the long black and said it was really good coffee. The berries crumble was the standout among three cakes. The winner is the COOKIE!!! I bought three packs to go.

Forest, Spaghetti & Salad, Architecture meet Natural. Cafe' in the forest garden. Surrounded by a big tree, decorated by indy furniture, strong and functional chairs, stools and tables. Spaghetti with shrimp and garlic is a good taste. Fried Shrimp Salad too. Indy toilet, no one else. Coffee, Soda and bakery available to serve. But the price is a bit high. The handcraft necklace was displayed to sell too.

The ambience is really nice, very cozy and homey vibe. But the dessert and coffee wasn’t anything special, the toffee cake was soggy and the coffee was very mild. But maybe if you go there for the food might be a good stop.

Beautifully relaxing place snuggled in the woods near the river. A little hard to find but there are signs asking the route. Very nice desserts and a decent range of foods to choose from. Drinks are average. Prices are slightly on the high side for this area but within an acceptable range considering the atmosphere and styling.

Such a spectacular cafe! surrounded by nature🌿🌱 the atmosphere is really good for relaxing.❤️ the food is good and the price is expensive. The staff is nice. There are many nature spots to take a photo and chill out.

The wanderer nearby the blue temple in Chiang Rai is one of bucket lists you should drop by. The cafe itself is so quiet and sounds natural. There are a tons of cake and beverages. Though the signature here is coconut mixed cake and coffee. If you are a coconut lover, try some!! You will love it.

very tropical setting which almost has a botanical gardens feel to the place. Went over for breakfast and it really didn't disappoint. It is slightly expensive compared to other places and you get the impression you paying for the setting not really the food, even though the food was pretty decent. I would opt for chivit thamma da in terms of setting, but in terms of price the wanderer is more reasonable. so it really is up to your mood.

[Updated 04/04/2023]: Went here for lunch to celebrate a special occasion. We got the Penne pasta with Salmon in a cream sauce, a Caesar salad, and Khao Mok Gai. Lots of coffee shop restaurants all over Thailand have this formula of modern glass with AC setting, yet almost none can have a flawless menu where everything is superb. The Wanderer does. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, taste balanced. My wife said "prices were high, but everything was yummy, worth it". That's the highest praise. Charging higher than normal prices for a sleek, modern restaurant is fine, if they are able to deliver above average tasting food. The Wanderer does that. Great service, nice atmosphere with a couple of cats wandering around. Highly recommend to anyone who wants breakfast or lunch with high quality food. 👍 [Previous review]: Great alternative to nearby chivit thamma da. Modern restaurant surrounded by nature. Great food, a little expensive, for splurging, similar to chivit thamma da. The iced cappuccino was made just as I requested it: wan nit diow (other places I ask, but they make too sweet anyway). The lazy cat's name is "Maanow" means lemon. Nice place for weekend brunch. Popular with local Thais and some Farangs. They even give you lemongrass spray for the mosquitos because they like the cool shade (tip: sit in the shade surrounded by sunshine and they won't be a bother). Overall, almost perfection.

"The Wanderer" It lets me think about the old western movie "Into the Wood". This is the reason I visit this café. I really love the atmosphere of this place, peace and cool, very comfortable. It is typically on summer time, tea time.☺️👍 The taste of the food and drink is great. For example, the drink is sour and soda, but the dessert is mild sweet.

Nice restaurant full of trees and cute garden. Most of the menu is international with some Thai fusion menu. They also have wide range of desserts to choose from. The taste was ok but nothing stands out. I gave a four from the service and overall. The special menu was nice; grilled chicken on rice and meat on rice.

Amazing Thai food and desserts, this spot is a must stop! Female owned, really kind people and beautiful atmosphere as well. My favorites: 1. Macha lime soda (sour, punchy, delicious!!) 2. Banofee cake (chocolately and rich!) 3. Masaman curry with crispy bread on the side

Beautiful setting, wonderful staff and owners, plus excellent food and drinks. Both the western and Thai food is superbly prepared and quaintly served. The portions nice and quality of the food obviously in appearance and taste. Smoothies are made without sugar or ice - just local, frozen fruit. The Summer Passion smoothie is one of the best I’ve ever had. This is a must try Café!

The food is nice and well presented but you should come here for the atmosphere. Really calm and relaxing.

Great atmosphere! Outside, under the trees, hearing birds! Very pleasant and relaxing! Not the cheapest place but like the atmosphere, feeling and food here more than another "common" place along the river.

Quite disappointed on food. Asked for club sandwich, had bread with everything except chicken, it was extremely small piece of chicken. Don't know what is the reason. The place is very nice, all green, quite and ideal for relaxing with friends and family. Will give them another chance when visiting chiang rai, but will clearly let them know in advance what happened to me this time.
