The best place of Chiang Rai is probably this market as I had my food for very low rates، halal food is available and you can enjoy love performance while having food and music۔ Market is having a lot of nearby massage parlors so you can relax after a day full of activities۔ Nearby you will get cheap price deals on clothes souvenirs and small stuff for children۔ Please do bargain here for price as it's way lower than your expectations ۔thanks me later

One of the liveliest and fun night markets I have been to! There is a big stage with live music and lovely Thai people dancing to the Thai tunes. They really were having the time of their life and was lovely to watch. A lot of food available, and a lot of variation. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed this night bazaar where there was a square with food stalls. Just grab a table and start ordering from any stall that catches your eye. Best of all is that they will deliver to your table. I started my meal by having a set of 8 pork skewers for ฿80. The pork was tender and so well-seasoned. It also came with a curry dipping sauce. I also ordered a chicken coconut curry soup (฿100) which had a good flavour. You may come across a Japanese stall that sells fried food. A plate of 6 shrimps comes up to just ฿40. On the other hand, you can get a plate of mixed items (฿60), which includes battered onion rings, long bean, broccoli, sweet potato, chicken tender and shisamo. But this can get a bit much, so do order it when sharing with others. While I was here, I noticed many people were ordering a claypot hot pot. Do try to arrive before 7pm to get a table.

It is unfortunate that the bazaar is not as lively as it once was compared to previous reviews. We wandered upon the area on a Sunday night to find that less than 50% of the shops were operational. Wishing the best for the shops that were affected by the current situation.

This is the most famous night market in Chiang Mai city. The items sold at Night Bazaar are mostly handicrafts and handmade goods of the Chiang Mai region in particular and the northern provinces of Thailand in general, such as silver carvings, traditional hand embroidery, carved wood. notch…. The goods here are quite rich, diverse and most importantly, cheap. However, a note for visitors when buying, remember to bargain the price. Specifically, you should pay the price down from 20 to 30%

I had a great time there. It’s kinda hidden and also relax place. Relaxing live music, ‘cheap food’ and also great atmosphere close to the center. Totally worth it from Tuesday until Thursday. Fried chicken and beef cashew rice are the best. The live shows are amazing if there is a group partying.

Great place to buy souvenirs, explore new foods, and experience some Thai culture. Unlike other night markets and bazaars, the merchants here don't seem to overprice their wares expecting negotiations. You can always haggle for a better price, if you need to. But if you are able, I recommend paying full price here. These are wonderful, hard-working people who have been hit hard by the lack of tourists during covid. Thailand is a beautiful country, but it's the people who make it amazing. Thank them for their unwaivering hospitality and kindness by paying what they ask. If you can afford to come here, a few extra dollars shouldn't phase you. But it will make a big difference to them, and will show them how much you appreciate them for sharing their home with all of us crazy westerners.

The only place where you can find varieties of Thai food and souvenir at night in Chiang Rai. Very crowded during dinner time. There are lots of Thai street food here. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of seats but still quite full. Most tourists are here. There are also some other restaurants at the shop lots around serving foreign food like western food, Italian etc. There was live band singing at night and you may find lots of Thailand souvenir stalls around too. Great place for food and shops.

On a Monday weekday night it was relatively quiet and not all the stalls were open. You can get some food at the bazaar where it seems like most locals go for the "Hot Pot" set meal price ranges from 120B to 150B depending on what selection you make etc. You can order local Thai dishes like Pad Kaprow, Pad Thai etc. Prices for food are not super cheap and taste is average but this is compensated by variety as well as atmosphere. Best to visit on weekends when more stalls are open.

A night market where food, snack, clothes and live music can be found. This night market opens everyday. It is famous for locals and tourists. It could be crowded at time.

The seafood soup from the stall in my photo was thoroughly underwhelming for 80 baht. The cold beer made up for it to an extent, however.

Visited this market last may 2022. Open at 6pm and closing earlier at 9pm cause of COVID restrictions. Most shops were closed. Very few shopping options. Very quiet. I bought some souvenirs at very affordable prices. You may also enjoy some tasty local meals in the food court nearby. One of the spot of the city center to visit with hopefully more animations from June 1.

A very nice night bazaar to walk around if you are visiting Chiang Rai. This is my first time to have a hotpot like this style, they have many different stalls that provide different types of meat and are packed into a set. You can walk around and choose which type or how much portion you want. Absolutely nice place to chill.

There have their local “food court” (open air) near by. Two line of food stall, mainly Thai food, their local style steamboat (ceramic pot), some fried food. N also have live show like singing & Thai dance. But, no outside food/drink allow. We order some fried vegetables + steam rice. Portion was very big ! Price is very affordable. Most importantly , they all yummy. The food count also surrounded by night market. U can spend 1-2 hrs here , n settle ur dinner.

A small food court in Chiang Rai that also has souvenir shops nearby. A good place to have dinner and have a drink with friends and loved ones. There are volunteer musicians that sing and you can donate a tip for them. We ate hot pot, noodles and grilled fish. The selections are similar in most stalls so variety is a bit lacking. There is not much selection for drinks. Would be glad to order a fresh smoothie rather than water, soda and beer.

Foods and souvenirs are readily available in this bazaar. Every night, they incorporate live performances which I really enjoyed. The location is also perfect as this is near our accommodation. This bazaar is also near the Clock Tower, which is perfect for tourists traveling to Chiang Rai.

A Local Gem for a Relaxed Evening** Tired of busy mega packed markets like the ones we saw in Bangkok? Chiang Rai's Night Bazaar is a different vibe – not just a market, more like a piece of real Chiang Rai life. Friendly Bargains: Explore the market filled with woven textiles, wooden crafts, and silver jewelry. Got a good deal with friendly haggling – local treasures without a hefty price tag. Tasty Adventures in the Food Corner: Had a food adventure at the lively food court – curries, noodles, and sweet treats. Sat down, shared a table, and soaked up the local flavors. Cultural Tunes at Sunset: Sunset brought out local tunes – live music, traditional instruments, and dances. Enjoyed the cultural vibes, felt the energy of Chiang Rai. Nighttime Hub: While the city quieted down, the Night Bazaar came alive. A lively spot for night lovers, sharing laughter, clinks of glasses, and the aroma of Thai spices. My Takeaway: Chiang Rai Night Bazaar isn't just a market; it's an evening experience. Explored the alleys, haggled for goodies, tried local flavors, and gave it a 5 out of 5 stars for its genuine charm.

Another great market to stroll thru and buy whatever you need. One of the things I enjoy about Thailand is not having aggressive shop owners. You are able to look around here. Great food options of all sorts.

Chiang Rai Night Bazaar offers a delightful first-time experience, with its initial visit revealing a pleasant lack of overwhelming crowds. The ambiance is inviting, creating a relaxed atmosphere for exploration. The variety of restaurants caters to diverse tastes, allowing visitors to indulge in local and international cuisine. From traditional Thai dishes to global flavors, the culinary options are a highlight. The presence of diverse stores adds charm to the night market, offering an array of products, from handmade crafts to trendy fashion items. The initial visit's serenity allows for a more intimate interaction with the stalls, enabling a closer look at the unique wares on display. The bazaar's vibrancy shines through with vibrant colors and engaging displays that capture the essence of Thai culture. While the absence of overwhelming crowds during the first visit is a positive aspect, it's worth noting that the atmosphere may evolve on busier nights. Nevertheless, the Night Bazaar's charm lies in its ability to cater to various preferences, making it an appealing destination for both locals and tourists. 🌃✨🍜

The Chiang Rai Night Bazaar is the center of nightlife here in this sleepy town. There is a market area with lots of food stalls selling similar Thai cuisine such as hot pot, noodles, fried goodness, and of course, beer. The food is decent with nothing really standing out but the options are there for meat and veg eaters alike. We did have the best mango sticky rice here though. You have to find a lady that already has the rice premade with coconut milk and lays fresh mango on top, and not on the side. THAT is worthwhile.

It was avery nice place to eat, shop and to chill. There's a cultural show on a stage to entertain viewers. Food stalls are everywhere, there's so much more you can choose. Souvenir shops are also very nice.

More trinkets and separate large food area than Chiang Mai. Much smaller but still fun

Small but cozy night street market with a food court and several live music performances even on Wed night. Lots of stalls are still closed.

The food court area is a shell of what it used to be. Very sad to see. There are some restaurants still open but the food is very hit or miss.

Very busy bustling place on a Saturday night. Lots of people. Lots of food selections. Come and enjoy the many food offerings. Prices are reasonable. Saw quite a few tourists also wandering the many blocks of this night market.

It is a pretty chill place for drinking, eating and listening song in the evening with family, friends or even dating. Toilet costs only 3 baht but don't worry you can get coin in front of the toilet if you don't have any coin with. There is a a little waking street near by, which you can get some cute souvenirs from Chiang Rai. And you can get only Singha and Leo beer from here.

I came here on my first night in Chiang Rai. I wanted to see what nice food is available. There are plenty of stalls to pick food from and music playing. I didn't look around the other areas of market as it seemed pretty small.

Chiang Rai night market snacks are super recommended. It has a different taste from other regions in Thailand and has a special flavor. The taste is closer to the original taste of the ingredients than to neighboring Chiang Mai. The naked sauce, fried water spinach, barbecue, tempura and small hot pot in the night market all have a Thai feel and taste good. After 6 o'clock in the evening, the number of people gradually increased, and there were resident singers performing around 6:30. Clothing, the whole Thailand is similar. The Night Bazaar is next to Chiang Rai Bus Station.

The overall night bazaar experience is alright, but the food court is a real disappointment because it's such a waste of money and stomach space though. We bought quite a few dishes that isn't added to this review and only 2-3 dishes that are good and the rest are horrible. Imagine this: when you put the foods in your mouth, you tasted of what the dish should tasted like, but after your second or third bite then the flavor is all disappear. Majority of the dishes are only get a few bites then we don't go back for more.

The bazaar itself is mostly items you’ll see at any bazar, but the “food court” area us great! A lot of stands to choose from and you can get to taste different types of food in one place. Highly recommended

I recently visited the Chiang Rai Saturday Night Blazer and was blown away by the incredible selection of food, music, and shopping options available. The number of different food vendors was truly impressive, offering everything from traditional Thai dishes to international cuisine. The live music was also fantastic and added to the lively and festive atmosphere of the market. But what really stood out to me were the clothing and accessory options. The market was full of vendors selling unique and beautiful items, from handcrafted jewelry to stylish clothing. I loved browsing the various stalls and ended up leaving with some great finds. Overall, I would highly recommend the Chiang Rai Saturday Night Blazer to anyone visiting the area. It's a wonderful place to experience the local culture and try some delicious food, while also shopping for some truly special and unique items

It’s a cool night market, good vibe you can enjoy street food with good clean environment and watching singing or show at the same time. Highly recommended Thai hot pot small set is 100B , big set is 200B. Never see a hot pot with this good deal. 😋

A brilliant and vibrant place. Head for the yellow tabled area, not the wooden ones (locals tip). There's so many stalls to choose from and the food is excellent. Main stage has live music mixed with traditional Thai dancing. Just a great place to spend your evening and enjoy some great food. Plus loads of little market stalls and shops as well. A must visit in Chiang Rai

  • 3/5 Mariusz M. 1 year ago on Google
I have to say I am not fan of this Night Market. Many shops around had the exactly the same food (I think the same food supplier). Completely no variety. Food was very average, prices above average. I will not come back there. I visited this place in May 2022 ("Covid time"). For sure there are much better places to eat and spend time in Chiang Rai.
