Beautiful temple very quiet a long walk to get to but it's next to the city pillow so u get 2 things together , well worth a visit if you are around .

One of Chiang rai's temples. It is located kind of further from the city center and at the top of a hill, so it may take you a while if you walk up there. The place was quite, but unfortunately we did not enjoy much of the view because of the weather.

Awesome small temple packed with history. King Mengrai came here and also there is a city pillar and some great views.

One of the important old temple im Chiang Rai. Next to Chiang Rai City pillar. Worship by local, pray for health and peace. Walk from city clock​ tower​ take about 35 mins. Along with some quite steep up hill and steep stair clambing. Good healthy​walk.

There is a beautiful view out over surrounding woods and hills at the rear of the main prayer hall (pictured).

Small yet beautiful place, full of Chiang Rai history

Not over run with tourists makes for a welvomed change from other "famous" Wat. It has a more authentic feeling due to the daily village life going on in and around the temple. Plenty of good food to be had from nearby street vendors to fairly upscale restaurants in the very near vicinitu.

Definitely the place to begin your journey about the history of ChiangRai

Providing a quiet escape, Wat Phra That Doi Chom Thong is a temple worth visiting. Its humble appeal and serene environment offer a decent retreat from the everyday hustle.
