Short hike and nice waterfalls. The road to the site is very scenic. There are a couple of ways to hike this depending on how far you want to go and when you want to arrive at the waterfalls (start, mid, end). Anyway the routes are as follows: park in the lot and go to the first waterfall - the path starts at the end of the parking lot and is .5 km. Next waterfall you backtrack maybe 50 meters and hike up a very steep rock stairway which connects to the main trail. Take the next rock stairs left for .5 km to reach the 2nd waterfall. If you are game for more hiking go to where that rock stairs started and continue up the main path to the right. You can go up another 1-2 km through some very nice rice fields adjacent to the stream. There are almost always cows roaming as well. I tend to go up to the top first and drop down to the two waterfalls on my way out.

Easily accessible by moped and only a 5 minute walk from the carpark to the waterfall. There isn't much space at the foot of the waterfall to make staying here for a long time comfortable, just a small patch of sand. The area to swim in is also limited but it's good enough for a quick dip. The water wasn't very clear but it was safe - no leeches anyway! Worth the trip from Chiang Rai for a morning.

Getting here is a narrow and long twisting path. The road conditions may not be the best especially for car with smaller wheels or lower ground clearance. Once parked, there will be a short 5-10min trekking to get to the waterfall. This is a small waterfall but one that is possible to go swimming in it. Highly recommend to bring swimwear so one can play in it. The downside is the space is lacking so picnic can be a challenge and can quickly get uncomfortable when there's crowd. I can't say it is worth coming especially I've seen better waterfall in Thailand and the path getting here is tough. However if you want to get wet and go dipping, this is one of the few waterfall that you can do so.

Beautiful, shady, a short walk from the parking lot. Many tourists like to trek through the forest to emerge at Ban Ya Fu. You can cook marmot food near the waterfall. But we must help keep it clean. My friend who is a tour guide often has to hire local people to pick up trash. Because here the community takes care of itself.

Not a bad waterfall, looks like it would be fun to swim in. The path to get to the waterfall is also pathed with rocks. So it's an easy and short hike to the waterfall itself.

Nice place if you want some peace and quiet. He invites you to take a bath.

Small but quiet waterfall, not sure it justifies a visit unless you happen to be close by.

Hidden waterfall in hilltribe village. Not too crowded on weekdays. Short distance to walk from car parking. I'll be back!

Reasonable hike to waterfall but no direction signs in English, lots of trash for a Thai site and some slippery and difficult parts of the trail. Great pool to get in under the fall.

I didn't much time so I got a grab and in around 30 minutes (from Lalita cafe) I was there. From the parking lot is less than 5 minutes walk to the main waterfall. The driver to and from the waterfall is worth all the way!

It's near a lahu village. It's good for swimming but this time it was raining when I was there.

Not far from Chiang Rai. 1/2 day trip. Wonderful pool at the bottom to take a swim. The path is a little steep to the top if you're not agile on your feet. Beautiful lush vegetation this time of year.

The waterfall itself was easy to find on maps but the drive up with a bike was steep! I was to nervous to go all the way up so we hopped in to some lower smaller falls. They were decent nonetheless. The drive up was breathtaking!

It's exactly the shooting location in A tale of a thousand stars Y-serie. We ride a motorbike from Chiang Rai town to the waterfall within only about 40 minutes; and about 20 minutes going up to reach to the waterfall of Ban Pun Dao Village. Atmosphere is good & there is a man & a lady tidying this place. I do hope that they can have a good salary or allowance since they are doing good job here & everything is so good today. No entry fee.

Super chill waterfall. Nice place to come hangout on a hot day. Small ‘hike’ to waterfall is nice. Trash was everywhere when we arrived but we helped tidy up before leaving.

Great place, problem was somebody took a huge dump on the trail and my partner stepped right in it. Disgusting! Also a lot of garbage everywhere from tourists and locals. People should respect nature and their environment

Beautiful waterfall, free, very few other tourists in the area. We had the whole waterfall to ourselves!

We hired a car for a day and this was on our itenary, after driving for a while through marrow roads we finally got there. There is a roughly 10 minute walk up to the waterfall with quite a lot of climbing up stairs. When you get there, the actual waterfall is nice to look at but is also a little dirty so I didn't perticular want to swim in it, but my boyfriend did and he enjoyed it. The water levels also rose up very fast so you can't chill there for too long if you don't want to get swept away by the water.

Very nice waterfall. Nice path of anout 500m leading to the fall. Parking lot right at path entry, with clean toilets. Can swim at the fall. Be careful not to slip on rocks at the fall as it can be slippery.
