The beer is somewhat cheap. They have some Irish dishes that seem to be whipped up and delivered from an Irish pub down the street. The leek and potato soup was all right, but lacked flavor. The waitress was friendly enough and gave me some free salted peanuts. Decent spot for a quick bite and a couple beers, but not the greatest Chiang Rai has to offer.

A small wonderful place for get together and have your meals here. Pricing is very reasonable. You can have a selection of local Thai or western food. Made a couple of acquaintances here who have lived here for decades, mostly from USA. If you are new to ChiangRai and like to know more of this city, this is a good place to mingle.

Updated review 6/12/2018. Still the same great service. This time I tried the Khao Soi. It didn't disappoint. It was very good. It was 70 Baht. A large Chang was 85 Baht. Popular with tourists Friendly service. Good place to watch the world go by and chill with an iced coffee or a beer. I didn't try the food but it looked good. Free wifi. Plenty of ceiling mounted fans to keep you cool

(Oct 2021) A small outdoor cafe with a Thai and western menu. Staff was wonderful. We were late evening and enjoyed some appetizers (Thai spring rolls and a few wings) followed by a bacon cheeseburger and Guinness Beef Pie. Several western breakfast options available. Street-side parking.

We had a good breakfast here. There is a good chose of Thai and Western food. We had to wait a little longer for our order, but since the place was completely full and the lady cooked and served all by herself, that's okay. She was very friendly.

Enjoyed my Stir fry chicken with Basil leaves, rice and egg for 110 Thai Bhat. The location is by the side of the road so it is a bit noisy but that’s part of the ambiance. It seats about 15 people comfortably.

Nice and homey coffee corner, they have Iris Breakfast, probably next time! Oh, Irish coffee is so goood much better than Bangkok.

Very friendly little cafe. Serving delicious western & Thai food​. Beer, wine & alcohol available​ too. Open 9.00am in the morning serving America & English / Thai Breakfast. Lunch and diner till late along with bar. Free WiFi. All are welcome. Like to have have a cups of coffe in the morning or afternoon here.

Super cute cafe and bar. Nice, road side seating. Good selection of beers, delicious pizza, and friendly staff!

Food and drinks were pretty good, and very reasonably priced. We ate here quite late and the staff were very accommodating and lovely. Would definitely recommend for some good Thai food and delicious cocktails.

Kao Soi was prepared upon ordering. The soup was much thicker than what I usually had with more noodle portion. And I like it serving this way… The waitresses are very polite too.

Delicious Thai and western food and a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, reasonably priced; Sai (ทราย) is a friendly host. They open early and serve traditional American, British and Irish breakfasts, too.

We went to Awe's Cafe for a drink after finding it on Google Maps, but when we got there it looked a bit dowdy and was full of people smoking with their drinks and meals, so we gave it a miss, and luckily found 'Kalae Cafe Nangnon Coffee' just a few steps down the road, which proved divine and I heartily recommend you go there.

Lovely service, great little vibe on the roadside. Lovely baguette and pizza but lots of options on the menu!

I had the Irish breakfast. The coffee was good and the black pudding was good. The rest, not so good. Poor value for over 200 baht. Service- Can I have milk?, Can I have sugar?, Can I have a napkin? Table not clean or cleaned when I sat down so not great. Not for me again. ☹ THERE WAS NO ORANGE JUICE. Euro is irrelevant, we are in rural Thailand.

I visited this restaurant recently for dinner. We ordered a Khao Soi and a cachew fried chicken. I like the chicken but the portion size for rice was quite small compared to other restaurants. My wife liked the taste of Khao Soi but it had a little amount of gravy. Most of the Khao Soi we had generally was a soup bowl. The restaurant area is quite small and it might be congested for some.

We loved it here...so friendly and welcoming! Sai is a wonderful lady, who has the most beautiful smile! The food is delicious. We had the cheese and egg bagette with French fries on our first visit, and a massaman curry with rice on our second...both perfect. The menu is extensive, covering western and Thai dishes and the prices are really good. There is a fab drinks menu too. It's a great place to relax and people watch as well as meeting locals and travellers.
