Free entry for all and free parking. Situated within the premises of Wat phraw Kaew, popularly known as Emerald Budha of Chiang Rai. Saengkaew museum is adjacent to the temple with visiting hours 9am to 5pm. The museum is open for all without any entry ticket. The museum is worth visiting and is well maintained. This temple is not in the itinerary of Day tourists from Chiang Mai. Hence it is not at all crowded. Recommended to include if you are visiting Chiang Rai in a private tour.

It is a museum located inside Wat Phra Kaew. Mueang Chiang Rai District Inside are Buddha statues and items related to the Lanna people for a long time. Each piece has a label explaining the piece so you can read its origins. What I like and catch my eye is probably the royal uniform (full clothing of the royal family of Chiang Rai) around the year 1887-1898, also on display here🙏🥰

Very nice museum with a lot of Buddha figures.

It was open during Songkran, so I visited it when I visited Wat Phra Kaew. I was able to enjoy the view at my leisure on the two-story building.

The museum offered a captivating journey through the country’s rich history and culture. The exhibits were well-curated, providing insightful glimpses into ancient traditions.
