We drove from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai, along the way, we stop at this so named White temple, renowned for its shinny colour. It was an artistic architecture and draw the attention of most Thai peoples. The entire environment was well planned to become a tourist attraction and was successfully. Coaches come one after another with many tourists from local or aboard. No matter you are a Buddhist follower or others, the place here will give you an awesome feeling whenever you get down from the coach. With the wishing trees for good hope or the scenic view of the White Temple, people are begging for a good picture for themselves. Even the public toilet, is another highlight of this area since the entire toilet was all gold in colour making it an unique feature. Shoppers should be happy about the souvenir shops nearby, get tired, cafe or restaurant are within few steps. A fantastic place for visit more than a temple.

This little roadside pit stop has a coffee shop & restaurant & a few souvenir shops. During the pandemic doesn't have a lot of tourist traffic, but because there isn't a lot nearby it's a great place to hang out with locals. People are friendly but not super open & totally just do themselves without worrying what you think. A bit rough around the edges.Great view.

If Km 12 had been on any other road you'd say the views are something out of the ordinary, but on this particular road, in this area the competition is very fierce between the "viewpoints" on who have the best view But if Km 12 could lack a bit in view gainers it could easily take the prize for the area's best selection of snacks and souvenirs. So, if you pass by, look at view and share your thoughts

Doi Tung it's not far away from Chiang Rai, about 55 km. Beautiful views everywhere. The people same as the food. So sweet.

We stopped to get a great view and a nice bowl of noodles from friendly staff.

There are many nice viepoint on the way up so nothing too impressive here. The views are amazing if you continue on the road close to Burma border.

beautiful national park , high mountains on the boarder or Burma, well maintained and flowers and trees are beautiful, the ride to get here is amazing .

One of the places in Chiang Rai to view the beautiful mountains of Thailand and Myanmar. It's a good location to snap up photos as memories. You can also buy some souvenirs from local village tribes who operated quite a number of gifts stalls. You can also quench your thirst and had a quick bite at the Cafe too.

Beautifull place to Visit. Great view nice and cool too excellent choice of Thai food and very cheap. Very friendly staff well worth a stop and catch the view

This place is alright. Next to it though, before or after arriving (depending which direction you take), there is a bamboo construction site with another viewpoint all made with bamboo. A nice insight on the bamboo architecture at the time.

Nice view. So great in night! I higly recomended this nice lokal restaurant. It was so amazing expirience ate here fried rice (they have hot pot as well). Watch on citylight and have some fun with thai people! Thanks a lot!

Good view of the mountain. There's a camping site here. No washroom

Very local compares to other eateries in the city. Great atmosphere with couples and families and large variety of food spots

We have stop here to check in the place. Nothing much there... maybe about 15m to check in and take some photos of great mountain view.
