It served as a pit stop while traveling from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. There is a free parking and free entry. There is a natural water geyser which actually has a boiling water fountain. The water is steaming hot. There are several shops that sell food and other items. Some shops allow you to take a bath in the mineral water from the geyser. There is an abandoned building that looks like a temple. The building is actually empty from inside and it might contain some trash.

A small little place just on the roadside in the Chiang Rai Region, on the road to Chiang Mai. There are jewellery stands on one side of the space, and clothes on the other side. There are around 3 to 4 Geysers and in one of the smaller ones they cook eggs, you can buy in a basket for around 20 Baht. There is a fresh coffee stand, doing a range of drinks. There are also a couple of other stands to buy food from, something with rice around 60 baht. £1.20 UK currency. There are also a number of shops to browse in selling a number of little gifts, all priced reasonably. It is free to enter and a great little stop to rest and get refreshments, including a few photos to add to your holiday collection.

Pretty awesome hot spring rest area. Nicely stocked 7/11. Fun abandoned building to explore nearby. Plenty of place soak, relax and chill. Vendors here do sell items at a premium. As this is a natural hot-spring, water does smell like sulfur. Would love to see them develop the area a bit more.

Have a pitstop and enjoy a hard boiled egg from the hot springs while watching the hot spring geyser go off.

Just a service area on the way from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. However it has a big hot spring fountain at the entrance, and a free foot bath. Making it a special place. It feels very relaxing after trying the foot bath. It would be better if there was roof at foot bath to prevent the strong sunshine.

Expected the attraction to be better. It was rather small & very laid back. Nothing fancy. There were fringe shops selling local fare & small floral & cacti gardens. The hot spring was quite dismal with a few small pools. It was already quite crowded when we arrived; which made the "hot pool" feel like a community feet dipping area ( 😂 sorry). The guide suggested the best time to go is early morning when there is lesser crowd. We were there at 0830 & a few tourist buses were already pulling in. Guessed almost everyone had the same idea 😂. You can give this place a miss unless you need to make a pitstop or toilet break. However, if you are there 15 mins is more than enough & make the best of it.

This is in the top 5 rest areas I've ever visited. What a delight! The smell of sulphur accompanies you as you visit shops with affordable quality goods. Bought a nice men's hat for a couple of dollars. Interesting carved wood furniture including a swing & a bridge, ample toilet facilities (squat toilets). The water is very hot! Charming ladies bring you a small basket of eggs to cook in the geyser pools, served with a little bag of maggi. Kinda didn't want to leave. Must stop on your trip between Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai.

Not really a whole lot to see here. The two hot springs boiling was interesting for a couple of minutes. We soaked our feet for a few minutes in the footbaths and went to the restrictions. We did had a coconut and it was cold and sweet.

It is so special with hot spring. The water is really hot with over 60-70°C. They also sell eggs so that we can boil the eggs and eat directly.

A stop in the way to Chang Rai. Nice setup for a quick visit and using restrooms. You should try to boil some eggs while there.

Stopped here on the way to Chiang rai. The hot spring is the main attraction but there is a selection of stores including 7-eleven and some toilets for travellers looking to stop somewhere

A tourist destination that is more reminiscent of a gas station with convenience stores around. It is about several openings of hot water springs where you can cook hard-boiled eggs there and get excited about the hot water.

Nice place. We did a quick stop here when we were on our way to Chiang Rai. Saw the eggs but didn't try.

A quick pit stop to observe the springs, use the restroom and try some roti. Local sellers walk around selling raw eggs for tourists to purchase and cook in the hot springs. There’s a few stores and food options too. The roti was delicious and there were different options for fillings. There’s a fee to use restroom, they are maintained well and have toilet paper - there are two styles of toilets to use so make sure you look through both stalls to see which suits best.

Not sure how natural this hot spring is. We stopped here on our way to Chiang Rai. There are sitting areas to bath your feet and chill For tourists there is a fun activity of boiling eggs in the hot spring.

Free hot spring. It’s pretty cool. The water was very hot for this type of weather. You can buy eggs around the place and boil them in the hot water if you want to make a hot spring egg.

Approaching the springs, I saw a number of locals boiling eggs in them - given that some of the were far too hot to place your feet into. Thay said, there certainly were springs in which one could place their feet - although probably not for too long as it was quite hot.

It is like a road side stop where you can buy groceries and trinkets with the bonus of a hot spring to soak your feet. Welcome break from being in the tour bus.

Nearly all tours from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai will stop at Mae Khachan Hot Springs. There are hot water geysers, and seating areas so you can bathe your feet in the hot water. There are trinkets and souvenirs for sale.

A cool place with two geysers with boiling water, plus an abandoned temple right next to it – at least it looks like the construction wasn't finished, and the place was abandoned. Be careful with geysers, the wind can blow hot drops oland steam on you. Anyway, this place is cool to stop by, if you're driving this road. There are a few coffeeshops and snacks available on site.

Stopped off on the way to Chang Rai. A more interesting stop off than your usual petrol station but seems the tourist shops are a bigger attraction than the springs themselves! Walking down to the back left of the area you can find a little secluded spring which is a bit nicer than the baths in the car park!

Nice and relaxing place with natural hot springs around. I have been to Yellowstone National park, so these hot springs are not that exciting but I was more fascinated with the beautiful old abandoned temple next to it. It's a shame no one seems to take care of this old temple as building and architecture is so beautiful.

Located at a travel stop with gift stores, 7/11 and a free foot spa. Hot water springs and a geyser across the road if you are travelling to chaing rai. Ladies sellin eggs for 20b that you can cook in the water. It's there at a travel stop, it's free and just nice to see the power of nature so worth a stop on your way to or from Chaingrai.

Awe-inspiring presentations for visitors, when you drive past this place, You cannot ignore the aggressive hot water fountain, smoke from the stream, and sound that really grab your attention to stop by this place. The critical success behind the impressive presentation is the water pump installed near the pay toilet.

Nice stop on the way from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. Do not just pass by, watch the geyser and put your feet in a hot spring to relax

I waisted here before Covidand it was a hub of activity. Now...not so much. Very nice people at the different shops doing their best to make the experience a good one.

Usual tourist attraction. Food and shops. Probably still new. Basin for footbath if the hotspring is too hot to dip your feet in (from what I can see, didn't try it myself). Bungalow with hotspring water at Bht.200/ hr. if you want a full soak.

It was good place to take a short break on my way back to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai. They have some restaurants and we can relax enjoying the mountains scenery while having our feet being massaged naturally by the warm-hot springs in there.

👍 This was a stop as part of my day trip to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai. There is a public hot spring where we can cook eggs in using a basket on bamboo pole. There is an auntie selling chicken or quail eggs at 20 THB per basket (2 chicken eggs or 8 quail eggs). There is also a cafe where you can get...
