Beautiful dam, fantastic views on the water reservoir, and mountain cliffs. Really nice restaurant nearby with great food and friendly staff. Not very expensive. Sadly they don't allow people to walk on the dam itself, but it is what it is. Great place to visit and spend a day, or two. Cause there is a resort on the water.

There was some road work being done so access was completely blocked. It didn’t seem to be an attraction, but more of a place to stop on the way. Maybe there will be more going on soon. Still a good place to enjoy the view of the green fields. If you drive further up, there are some places to pull over on the side of the road for a better view of the water

Nice place to stop and take a brake on the way between chiang mai to Chiang rai, but nothing more then this. Just take few photos and keep driving.

Beautifull quiet place. Our 3rd visit in over a year. The fist two food and service very good and prices reasonable. Today we visited order our food and waited. 15 mins I later as some food was being served my Thai wife was told her dish was not available.i had krapiw ghai and fried eggs. . A portion of fries. .due to the time waited my wife did not re order anything and sadly we shared a substandard meal. 1 water 1 coffee I soda minnow. 1 krapow chicken. 2 boiled rice and 4 fried eggs. Total 448TB. Sadly I can't recommend the food and price

The scenery is really very nice at the lake. In early January the temperature is very ideal and no mosquito to bug you. Can rent a floating house and park in the middle of the lake for a night plus swimming, fishing, canoeing in the lake. Good for family activity and bonding.
