Master sculpturer and dot pen engraver Chalong is also a writer and musician. He opened his gallery to a foreigner on a day he was working and took the time to engage and answer questions with high class Lan Na hospitality. Come and see his beautiful art. He offers a printed glossy map that shows the location of many great and soon to be great artists of Chiang Rai. For lovers of fine art and culture you must meet master Chalong. I suggest you be as kind as he was and leave a donation in support.

The teacher took the time to give the tour himself. and explained the work for nearly two hours It is an inspiration for living life in many dimensions. The Thai farmer costumes are really awesome. It is an art gallery in Chiang Rai that is simple and has 2 floors. It is very valuable because the artist "Khun Chalong Phinijsuwan", age 62, has used the art of drawing using pencils and pens to create beautiful paintings. They also brought pieces of Acharn Thawan Duchanee, Chiang Rai's leading artist, into this art gallery. Ajarn Chalong has a high skill in playing gourd pipes. which belongs to the original Akha tribe for hundreds of years.

Incredible!! I thought it was a spectacular place. The price is 100 baht. Very safe and inside the temple you find water fountains and bathrooms. You are not asked to take off your shoes when entering the temple but you cannot use any cameras. The clothing worn should be discreet.

Best of all, the artists are waiting to welcome you. and does not charge an entrance fee Very friendly and easy to talk to.

I absolutely loved this gallery!! Accidentally stumbled upon it while walking down the street and decided to stop in. Such beautiful and intricately fine detailed art! I spent quite a while talking to Chalong Pinitsuan before realizing he was the creator of most of the paintings hahaha. Didn’t realize at first because of how humble he was :) Also very accommodating and kind!
