This place is cute and small. The parking lot is limited, so you might need to use street parking. The presentation is fabulous. It owns by a husband and wife duo. We got to meet the husband during our visit. He’s very friendly. You need to order and pay before seating. We found the food was flavorful but leaning towards sweeter side. For small kitchen, they can cook incredibly fast.

Great addition to the list of restaurants on Williamson. Good location with free parking. The ambiance is funky not in the best way but it’s an old space that is hard to spruce. Was packed and the wait was 25-30 minutes. Great service. Menu is delicious. Protocol is to decide what you want to get then go to the Ordering desk to order and pay. After that you sit and the food arrives fairly swiftly. Good wine selection, appropriate labels and prices for the venue. Everything we ate was stellar but especially the spring rolls (to die for) and the lagoon of soup that you want to eat for days. The regular roll wasn’t much to write home about - would probably not order it again. Staff was very kind and helpful with whatever we needed. They did accommodate gluten free requests while ordering. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.

The food is amazing. It's a different set up, you are sat and then you go up to something like a hostess stand to order food. That seems efficient. Our food came in a timely manner. Everything was delicious and good size portions. It's priced a little higher than your average Asian food restaurant but, well worth it.

This meal made us so happy and satisfied.  My friends and I were just driving thru Madison and had a very late lunch. I've never had Laotian food. I know this restaurant is fusing their food with Thai. Every dish was a distinct flavor bomb. The drunken noodles have a powerful taste. It wasn't spicy hot but there was a unique blend of flavors. We think we could even taste tamarind. The green curry was more delicate in taste but you could taste all ginger and lemongrass notes. Finally we had the Nam Khao Salad with fried rice and no sausage.  The dressing and the crunchiness of the rice on that salad was highly addictive.  Delicious meal.

Ahan is a very quiet restaurant tucked away off the main roads and can be difficult to find. The journey is well worth it to discover one of the more authentic asian restaurants in probably all of Madison. The Laotian snacks is a great choice for an appetizer which could well serve as a meal for some. The Laap Nuea was delicious and wonderfully seasoned

I have enjoyed Ahan since they opened in Madison and was excited to try them in their new location. We had the Enos pork dumplings (delicious!), the drunken noodle, and the Nam Khao salad. The drunken noodle seemed to be missing Thai basil so the flavor wasn't quite right, but it was later in the evening and they were extremely busy, so maybe they had run out. The Nam Khao salad is always a favorite - just the right amount of heat and the balance of veggies, sausage, and crispy rice is fantastic. Sap sap!

My husband and I tried out this restaurant recently and it was delicious! It’s a small house-like building but turns out they are moving into a bigger place! I’m super excited to go when they move! We got the green curry and cod. The green curry was seriously one of the best curries I’ve ever had! MUST TRY
