Officially open on 12/3/22! Great location for breakfast with a view of the train station. Good-sized menu, with several Benedict options. Love that they kept the old diner feel of this location. You may just recognize some old familiar faces, too... Can't wait to try some lunch here next.

Brought the family out for breakfast here and the food was ok but the service to me could have been better. As soon as we got seated we were ignored and not offered coffee untill almost 10 min after when we were about to order. And even though the food was good I'm always about how me and my family are treated. Don't think I'll be coming back here.

My Kind of Breakfast Diner! Bar counter seating ....with original old-fashioned countertop and permanent stools ... good old-time overhead music ... good grub and great service. I recommend this cafe. Same owners of Brookfield Breakfast Cafe.

This quaint family-style restaurant is La Grange's best-kept secret. It feels like I'm sitting in my kitchen being served. The servers are personable, the food is flavorful and the portions are overflowing. Best of all the prices are extremely reasonable. The Best breakfast restaurant in the Chicagoland area. I give it 5 Stars on the Jones(food)meter*****

Nice and warm place to wait for Amtrak at 7:30 on a Sunday morning. I recommend the cinnamon rolls! Service was a little slow. .we were the only ones there when we arrived, but the place definitely picked up and got busier. Ended up paying the waitress with two $20bills and told her to keep the change, so we could get out the door to catch the train in time. I'm not sure she actually ever did give us the bill.

As a resident of the La Grange area since 1975, I’m so happy to have a local cafe here again. The breakfast is superb, and the lunch offerings are great. Pricing is right, quality of food is solid. Service is friendly. All in all, great place!

Great local breakfast spot in Downtown La Grange. Ambiance was great, service was on point, orders came out fast, and the food was delicious. If you live in the area or happen to be in Downtown La Grange looking for a good place to eat breakfast, stop in here!

Before we hit the Brookfield Zoo lights, we decided to hit this place up near by. I'm sure glad we did. Food was quick, hot and on the table pretty quick. Decent food, decent price, and decent location. One of the friends that went with got the biscuit and gravy breakfast, however was not to her liking. Her opinion was that they were just plain bland and no real taste. Her husband and I also tried them, as they were not made badly or any issues, just could use some sort of flavor or spicing up.

The food and service have been great. I've enjoyed everything I've had so far, with my favorite being this skillet they do with avocado, chicken, and peppers. Everyone I've interacted with has been kind. I'm not sure if this is a regular thing, but there was a cellist playing at 7:30am at the counter. Not what I was expecting at all, but it was surprisingly pleasant.

This place has a cool vibe and we’ve been excited to experience it sans kids. We got there and decided to sit at the counter top. Finally a classic diner that was bustling and full of energy. Food was decent, fresh, a little undercooked (hash browns). But having worked in the restaurant industry for most my life what really threw me off was the fact that one of the chefs kept wiping his knife with the trash can. Cutting fresh fruit then wiping the side of knife blade with the top of the open trash can or his dirty rag/apron (clearly stained and just plain filthy). The same can he was discarding eggs, waste, etc in. I get it you’re busy but that’s not sanitary. I want to see small business thrive but this is just unacceptable. I’m not trying to drag anyone or business and not be overly dramatic, but this kind of shocked me for an open kitchen. Where at the right angle you can see pretty much everything going on. Service was great overall, atmosphere was fun and nostalgic. But overall probably won’t go back unless they address some pretty basic food safety/handling concerns.

I have eaten here three times. Every single time, I have found a short black hair in the food. Three times. Out of three. I will not be going there ever again. (Definitely men's hair btw, don't blame the servers. They have always been nice as well.)

Enjoyed this nice little breakfast place. Very good food options and nice presentation. Welcoming staff. Strongly recommend you try the California Benedict

Fantastic skillet breakfast. Eggs and hash browns done perfectly. I wish the booth seating was a little more comfy and the room had more sound absorbing materials (dish clanking and baby screams really echoed), but otherwise this is a great breakfast diner. It's run well, and I hope it becomes a town favorite.

No one smiles here. The cooks, the waitstaff, the cashier, the busboys... Not One Person smiles as they walk around! The food was good... Not great, but good. But not one person who works here smiles. A $16.00 charge w/o tax for a spinach, bacon, and cheddar omelette with no potatoes, no pancakes or toast, and 4 slices of tomato. Would not give me anything as a substitution without an additional charge. Did I mention that not one person smiles here? 😉

Food was good. Very rude hostess requested we vacate the table as we were finishing our tea and coffee so that new customers could be seated. There was tons of seating at the counters!

Great breakfast place in La Grange! exactly what you expect when you think "breakfast diner". Great eggs, great corned beef, great pancakes, and great service! Not much else to say; what you see is what you get, and it's delicious.
