The portion size is massive for appetisers. They are definitely meant for sharing. Nice, cozy and laid back Irish pub in Chicago area. The music is great. Service was fast and friendly. Food was tasty, the curry chips were awesome. They have happy hours on weekdays Mon-Fri 5.00 to 7.00 pm. The drinks were strong and tasty. The place was almost full and seating is first come first serve.

We absolutely loved this spot. Came here to watch the Stanley cup championship and stayed for the beer and atmosphere. The food was reasonably priced and better than expected for a pub. The service was amazing and we even got our faces on a Guinness! If we visit Chicago again, I'm definitely coming back here.

Overall, it's not a bad spot to chill, but don't expect much from the bar service. Despite usually having two bartenders on deck, they rarely bother to check in on you. Frankly, the service at the bar was just plain crappy. Surprisingly, they weren't even that busy during my visits. My advice? Skip the bar seating and head straight to the patio for better service. Plus, I was pretty disappointed with their Guinness pours. One bad pour? Fine. But three bad ones over two visits? Not cool for a place claiming to be an Irish pub, even in the States. I might give it another shot, but I'll brace myself for spotty service. Hey, it's still beer, right? And who can say no to that?

We loved this pub! Run by an Irishman and a fantastically friendly staff, this is a great place to come and meet up with friends, grab a delicious bite, perhaps have a first date (table next to us) watch a game and grab a pint! They pull a perfect pint of Guinness. But I was super excited for a proper fry (Irish breakfast) . Black pudding, white pudding, rashers, Irish sausage... satisfied a craving that isn't easy to appease in the US. The fish and chips were equally as fantastic. We had a great server, darn if I can't remember his name. Super friendly and engaging young man! We will definitely pop back in here on our next visit to beautiful Chicago.

They open early for Manchester United matches, so we found our way there for coffee, Irish breakfast, and beer. I've never been to Ireland to compare, but the black and white pudding is fantastic. Texture comes from the oats within, both had a little spicy heat to them.

This was a great spot with such a perfect selection of traditional and interesting pub fare. The bar mixed up a great old fashioned and the food was so delicious. I had the lamb French dip with a salad. Even the salad was really flavorful with quality, crunchy lettuce and veggies. The French dip was awesome. Really soft bread and nice, thick au jus.

We loved our time here!!! The drinks were amazing, and reasonably priced. Service was impecable, and the food was also very tasty. The pub has dim lighting and there are plenty of seats, we went on a slow night and we found a spot nestled in the back. It was very private and there are also seats facing the street, so you can enjoy your cocktail with the Chicago view. We will definitely be back!

YES. Just yes. LOVE this place. I'm not big into seafood, first time I had fish tacos and they were PERFECT. Side note, there's a machine here where you upload a picture to print it on the foam of Guinness and it's SO incredibly genius. I don't have any pictures but well worth it

Great service, atmosphere, food. But they have to stop using Styrofoam for to-go containers. There are plenty of sustainable options.

Fun spot to quickly stop in for a beverage. First person that greeted us was a little stand offish we all thought but the followup made up for it. Good pour of Guinness and tea for my non drinking wife.

Mark and Andrew were amazing. Truly the best bar tenders I’ve had since moving to the city. Gave me tips one where to go. They are so fun and were so engaging. Will be back soon!!

The Buffalo cauliflower app was delicious. The pretzel was okay, too salty. I had bone in wings and I did not enjoy it. The sauce was dry and the meat was not tender. The burger was decent. Great vibes for people to eat and hangout.

Great location for a multi level Irish pub. Staff/servers/bartenders are top notch, engaging and professional, and quick to keep your glass full. They are the reason to keep coming back to Fado. Solid selection of beer on draft. Daily happy hours, music on the weekends, trivia during the week, food and drink specials. Really good fish n chips! If you find yourself in the neighborhood give them a try.

They have Magner's, so I was already already happy. Went with a work party. Some of them were non-drinkers, and others were vegetarian. Options were available for all. We had a variety of appetizers (pretzel, goat cheese balls, cauliflower bites, corned beef rolls) I had the fish and chips entree. Portions were good and food was tasty. Or server was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was nice, pleasantly Irish, and the music was good but not too loud.

Fun, lively Irish bar with beer, liquor and creative cocktail menu. Loved the mezcal drink with watermelon balls as relish. Live music when we came on Saturday so very loud environment but the singer was totally legit!

There’s so many great things to say about this place. I’ve been here quite a few times for different occasions. I also like to stop in every so often and just enjoy my-time having a Guinness. If you’re visiting town I do recommend checking this place out. if you like a cool, relaxing, old Irish bar kind of vibe.

You know, in this city full of good food its hard to see through whats good, and what is actually great. TJ hit that great mark for us on every level. Best cocktails Ive ever had from here, friendly as can be, and actually genuine. Not once did I have an empty glass, and he was so smooth at conversation, its misleading at how fast hes actually moving, because he still gave us his attention, talk about work ethic. We will be back! Love the new staff, 10/10

Came here to watch the Champions League Final and we had fun. The food and service were decent as well. BUT your policy to let people in when there are no free tables, so they can stand and watch the game is such bs. Its not fair to those who came early and got a table for friends. I came like 2 hours early to get a table, and my friends who came later were not allowed in because “you were at full capacity”

First time here and tried the Irish Breakfast…. After visiting Ireland and having authentic Irish breakfast, I can say this place comes in a close 2nd. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and bar patrons were very friendly. Def worth visiting… will be coming back for more! 😁

I loved this Irish pub a lot, I was looking for a place to watch World Cup 2022, in a nice friendly ambient while having drinks and food, the place exceeded my expectations. Food was fabulous, avast choice of beers and drinks.

Pear salad is excellent. Cheese puffs were great. The photo is of an antique typewriter in a showcase inside Fado Irish Pub that I don't recognize and I can typically identify any typewriter from the USA.

In town for Labor Day weekend and found a great spot to watch Premier League soccer ⚽️ My server Dani was excellent!😊...kept a comfortable eye on me while managing multiple tables. Drinks were on point and food was tasty. I highly recommend for a good morning sports vibe👍🏾

Love it here. The vibe, the location but I always rave about their chicken tenders. I know it sounds strange but they are amazing. The fish and chips is a close second. But the beer batter they use makes great chicken tenders. They also have trivia night.

Celebrated St. Patty’s Day here & our server Kayla was so personable. We were a party of 6. What a great experience to get in line at 8a & be one of the 1st to get a table! Menu was super simple w/ 3 great options (traditional Irish breakfast, wished they would put more of a modern Irish twist to it). Definitely recommend this spot as your go to “Must Eat /Drink in Chicago “ spot.

Went last week for Fish and Chips- Very good (from a NZer). Back tonight and had the double cheese burger - best burger I've had since living in USA (7 weeks). Great beer selection. Friendly staff

Best corned beef and cabbage I’ve had since I was in Ireland? Most definitely. Why have an Irish pub if you can’t get amazing Irish food. I’d argue you shouldn’t. These guys figured it out. Sooooo good.

Delightful Irish Pub, Great food & service. Quiet corners or Sports bar...they offer both. Staff were friendly & professional. It's a must stop when you come to Chicago. Bangers & Mash, Black & White pudding and Fish & Chips were awesome. Highly recommended. A Great Craic..!!
