I came here on new years Eve with my hetero life partner. They had a 5 course set menu that night. Drinks: The drinks started out with me wondering whether or not there was any alcohol in my beverage, as I told my partner how displeased I was with my drink, I think the staff might have overheard my comments because the following drinks were much more acceptable. Service: Each course was dropped off at the table with zero explanation or introduction. Each course delivered by different staff (not our waiter). I didn't eat 2 out of the 5 courses and received no reaction from the wait staff. Food: The food was acceptable, but nowhere near the level I'd expect for the price point. I ordered a beef tenderloin medium rare, when it came out it was blue (less than rare). I had to send the steak back only to get it charred on the outside beyond preference. 20% gratuity added for a party of 2? Please. I would not recommend this steakhouse if you're looking for a great steak in Chicago.

The cowboy cut was amazing! Bone-in ribeye is my favorite piece of meat. I'm going to get the tomahawk next 😁 We shared the asparagus and baby potatoes which was a hit with both of us. Bon appetit 💥

Came here for my birthday, and while the staff was attentive and polite, I was generally underwhelmed by the food. My filet mignon was fine, but my friend's New York Strip did not come bone in and had so much fat that only a few bites of the 14oz was edible. the sautéed green beans were about on par with what a I cook myself from a Hello Fresh meal. Additionally our beef tartare was forgotten and had to asked to be removed from the bill. However their arugula and peach salad was delicious and well portioned, and the drinks were also excellent, having the peach whiskey smash and an extra dirty martini. The main dining area was bright, clean and relatively unadorned, no distinctive style to add or detract from the experience. Found it to be a bit cramped, while tables were spaced a decent length from one another, they will positioned in such a way that it did not feel there was much space. Being in a large, unobstructed room made for a noisy environment as well. Overall, outside of drinks and salad, Chicago has many superior steak restaurants to choose from; Swift and Sons, Maple and Ash, Gibson's, Gene and Georgetti's being prime examples

Solid food, great steaks, friendly efficient service. Fairly priced. A nice choice for sure. Comfortable setting also.

The service here is 5 star. You have a team of wait staff making your experience wonderful in every way. The Delmonico was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. The dry aged Kansas City was phenomenal. Creamed spinach was perfect. The sashimi appetizer is absolutely amazing! And the drinks were everything. This place is a gem all the way around.

I decided to take a tour of Chicago steak houses for my birthday, because why not. I chose Kinze because it is woman owned and I was interested in the menu. I will say it was the most regretful $200 I have ever spent. I ordered the avocado tuna tartar, it was good but basic, nothing jumped out as "omg this is great!" But it was satisfying; I then had the rack of lamb with a feta crusted potato(sounds good right?) and a side of creamed spinach. I am so UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED in the lamb entree, it was literally just pan seared meat....no flavor other than meat and a potato that was half done but nothing else other than potato....no butter, no salt, no nothing, no love. The reduction was loose with no flavor and I had no tomatoes, olives or capers as described on the menu. The creamed spinach was very good. Nonetheless, the waiter was nice and friendly and even took it back to bring me a new plate, unfortunately it was not any better. The meal seemed rushed and again unloved, but the rushed part amazes me since I was the only person in the restaurant. One thing i will say is that whenever I have been to restaurants that I am planning to drop some cash at, including steak houses, I'm always asked my choice of water, dude just poured the water n left and I had to ask twice for sparkling, I know that is a very minor detail but it did bug me a bit. Overall, it is sad to say it was just so so disappointing 😞

Truthfully just over-priced for the quality. Good service. We had a a party of 7 and it cost us $600. Had to send back under cooked salmon and steak was not cooked correctly. We ordered steak ravioli, prime rib, salmon with Caesar salad, filet, Mac, mashed potatoes, oysters, mushroom side and veggie medley. Nothing spectacular compared to similarly priced restaurants in the city.

Great Happy Hour 🍷 We stopped by here after a long day at the merchandise mart as we heard the wine pours were heavy. Indeed they are and the happy hour prices can’t be beat. Classic steakhouse setting with great service.

We loved everything about this restaurant. The appetizers, the selection of steaks, the sides, and the desserts were all impeccable and delicious. The service was top notch. From the moment we entered everything was taken care of, it was a very homey feeling but fine dining all the way. If you are ever unsure of where to get the best steak in Chicago, try out the Kinzie Chophouse. You will not be disappointed.

This place was not where we were originally going, but it was an amazing alternative. The ambiance was just beautiful. The presentation of the cuts of meat was very informative. The service was impeccable. It was an amazing experience. I love how they took my coat at the table and hung it up for me, I felt right at home.

⁣ Located steps from the Merchandise Mart in River North is Kinzie Chophouse. This woman owned steakhouse is celebrating 32 years of serving Chicago diners the best steak, seafood and pasta dishes with an infusion of Greek and Mediterranean flavors. ⁣ ⁣ While known for their steaks and chops, you need to know how mouthwateringly delicious their seafood offerings are. As a seafood eater, I take great pride in sharing steakhouses that have memorable fish dishes. ⁣ ⁣ ⭐️Tip: order the tuna! ⭐️⁣ ⁣ Enjoy Kinzie’s Happy Hour offered Monday - Friday from 2-6 pm. Highly suggest you try their Signature Martini. 🍸⁣ ⁣ Bonus: Kinzie Chophouse is now open for dinner on Sundays. In addition, they have launched their new Odyssey Tasting Menu available exclusively on Sundays.⁣ ⁣ The restaurant design is perfect for a business dinner, date night, girls night out or family gathering. ⁣ ⁣

After arriving in Chicago Friday for a girls trip we called ahead and made reservations with no problem. Upon arriving we were greeted and seated everything was going fine until the food actually came. Of a party of 4, 2 ladies ordered the lobster risotto. We all inquired what came with the meal as we were unfamiliar with risotto, our waiter Luis became agitated once we realized when the food came we did not need extra sides that were ordered at which point we asked to send those items (mash potatoes and Mac & cheese) back. He stated he could not take them back. I asked for a manager THAT NEVER came but the items were taken back and off the bill. The food was great however, the service became poor after simply asking to send 2 side dishes back that were never touched. Still would recommend this restaurant and urge anyone to google what they are ordering if Luis is your server.

This classic chophouse has been around for decades and still maintain fine dining with great ambiance, white tablecloth service, great plate presentation and superb taste. I had the NY Strip with chimichurri sauce. Delicious. My colleagues had the grouper and the roasted chicken. They were both prepared perfectly. The chicken was perfect. Start with a wedge salad.

Amazing food, the steak was perfect, potatoes were creamy, that pork belly appetizer was so good, there just no words for it! The service was some of the best I've seen in a while. We had a large group, and nobody's drink stayed empty, and the timing of the food (appetizer to the salad to the main course) was seamless. It's a bit on the upper end of the dining and slightly pricey, but it's worth every penny. Will definitely recommend it to anyone, and it is a must-have when I'm in town.

The food is so delicious! The staff is amiable, and the whole place is fantastic! So happy that I had this incredible experience I started with Feta & Olives with Bruschetta which is Marinated feta cheese and olives, tomato & thyme relish served with grilled bruschetta, unforgettable Then 16 oz Delmonico steak medium, perfect And ended with carrot cake and Americano.

This steakhouse was definitely worth the price. We ordered the oysters by the half shell, shrimp cocktail shots, shrimp cakes, Mac and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes, all to share as a table. The sides each had their own unique flavor profile which is good considering how savory a lot of these things could have been. I ordered the dry aged delmonico, and it was very buttery and seared to perfection. I also had some of the lamb chop and that was also delicious as well. The service was excellent and their attention to detail only slipped once on a very small matter. Would recommend this place as a celebratory experience or classic date night steakhouse.

Abel is amazing!!! We had great service and the food was awesome! He explained the menu and made me a great mock tail. He accommodated all our dietary restrictions, allergies and made sure we all got what we needed. The experience was incredible!

Was walking by and saw a Happy Hour sign and that was enough to draw us in to the Kinzie Chophouse for the very first time. Comfortable bar (old school, warm, dark and lovely), a couple of TVs, very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable bartender, a great sampling of discounted bites that all tasted amazing. We browsed the regular menu and found lots of delicious sounding if not classic dishes at a decent price point. And with that, we know we’ll be back again for HH and more!

Went here with a (very) large party for a fancy dinner out during a bachelorette weekend. Service was fantastic and very knowledgeable about menu items and what suggestions to make when asked. All the food was absolutely delicious and the steak was incredible. It is pricey and was a stretch, but found that the experience paid off for us having such a big group. They had a private room for us in the back. Would definitely suggest for a special occasion splurge—especially for a big group celebration!

4 apps for lunch. The mushrooms were perfect, better than expected. Butter mashed, dreamy good. Romaine hearts, OK. Green beans, underwhelming at best, my friend didn't even finish, cooking more would have brought out more flavor, don't smother in sauce so much. Overall good lunch

We partnered with Kinzie Chophouse to host a private dinner event for a large group and they were an absolute delight to work with! Their events coordinator made the whole process incredibly easy, they recommended some fantastic wines to pair with our dinner, the meal was delicious, and the team serving our group were simply fabulous. Would definitely host large group events here again!

My recent visit to kinzie chophouse left me with mixed feelings. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the steak itself, which was cooked to perfection and truly delicious. However, what marred our dining experience was the rather aggressive demeanor of our waiter. We had reserved a private room for a party of 15, and while I understand that serving such a large group can be challenging, the tone and approach of the waiter were not in line with the overall upscale atmosphere of the restaurant. It's crucial to remember not to judge a book by its cover. Although our group might be on the younger side, our bill amounted to a significant $2500, indicating our appreciation for fine dining. A more welcoming and accommodating attitude from the waiter would have elevated the entire experience. It's essential for the staff to treat all customers with the same level of courtesy and respect, regardless of their age or appearance. I hope the management takes this feedback into account and ensures that all guests, regardless of their age or background, enjoy a truly exceptional dining experience at this establishment.

This was one of the best steakhouses I have been to ever. The service was absolutely incredible. I wish I could remember my waiters name.. I cannot say about good about this place. Glad I live nearby. I will be a regular.

Absolutely fantastic team and coordination. I worked with their events team to host a corporate dinner for about 35 people with short advance notice and Shannon and the Kinzie team pulled through and went above and beyond. The food and service was fantastic! A few members of our team were not able to join last minute and the Kinzie management didn't charge us for them even though it was part of our dinning agreement which I thought was very classy of them. Highly recommend this location for corporate events or just a regular night out on the town. Venue is very elegant and cozy.

If anybody leaves less than a 5 star review they are lying. The service and all the stuff were amazing. The food is not even comparable to anywhere else I’ve ever been. I came in with a group of 14 and we all agreed that everything we’ve ordered was the best we’ve ever had. I challenge you to try and find a better steak. If you can find it let me know because I will die eating that steak. Everything about this experience was amazing and I could never recommend and establishment more than I will recommend Kinzies chophouse

The appetizers: tuna tartare, pork bellies, calamari were excellent. The key lime pie and espresso and Stella Artois were excellent. The service was excellent. But I was really looking forward to the steak and this is a steakhouse. I had the 16 oz dry aged Delmonico, $68, and it was not a good experience. There was so much fat and grizzle, it was really more like 4 oz of delicious steak and about 12 oz of fat, grizzle and mediocre meat. You would think the chef or somebody in the kitchen would look at that piece of meat before they bring it out to a customer and say hey maybe this isn't really up to our standards, but I guess not. I would definitely go back because I work across the street from there at the merchandise mart, but I'm definitely not going to order steak there again. Very disappointing. Tasted more like a steak from Outback or something versus a high-end downtown restaurant.

Hands down the best steak we’ve ever had. I love this place and I am so grateful that I found this hidden gem. Whenever I come to Chicago it is a priority for me to eat here. The staff is attentive, the meal, superb. The cheesecake is a must try!

What a nice steakhouse. The inside is bright, yet classy. The service was amazing!!!! I love that they show you the steaks beforehand. I got the porterhouse and my partner got the delmonico, both great cuts. The pesto, feta, & sriracha whipped potatoes made my life worth it.

They have indoor seating with open windows which is pretty comfortable in this cold weather. The service is excellent and they carry a large collection of wines! I only took out one star because I have had better steaks at cheaper price. However appetizers, drinks, dessert and overall service is excellent.

Was a really nice place. Nice service. Nice people. But my steak was cooked with burnt butter or oil or something. Tasted like burnt popcorn

So great! Crab cakes were fantastic, steak was deliciously cooked to our asking and the pasta was also on point! We were just visiting for the weekend on a birthday trip and our meal and experience at Kinzie definitely added greatness to our weekend! Would definitely eat here again when I’m in Chicago next time! Thank you for what you guys do and how you do it!

I ordered pickup and although I missed the dine-in experience, the food was delicious! I wanted to take advantage of Chicago’s Restaurant Week, and I ran into this gem. Upon arrival, the staff was a little busier than usual, but nonetheless were friendly and got our food as soon as it was ready. The stuffed potato (pictured) was actually very good and I will definitely get on my next visit. Their to-go drinks come in a plastic bottle, which is convenient for those who are traveling.

We had a 4:30pm appointment for two this past Saturday. We valet parked down the block as it seemed easier but there were ParkChicago ie. street parking options around. The restaurant is a typical size for a city steakhouse and had all the features one would expect - white cloth tables, mood lighting, leather seating etc. Our service was probably the best part. Abel was our server, but everyone from the manager to the host made sure we were comfortable. For our meal we ordered the pineapple cocktails, the medallions (comes with 2), the center cut, asparagus, mushrooms, macaroni and cheese and the lobster tail. Everything came out warm and in a timely manner. They were also very accommodating. My friend and I like our steaks at different temps so Abel asked the kitchen to cook our medallions at different temperatures. We loved everything we ordered with the exception of the breaded mushrooms which were a little watery and had a tangy seasoning. Overall it was a lovely experience.
