Came in with a buddy and sat at the bar. Bartender is a super nice guy let me say that first but, he forgot my buddies water 3 separate times and then we got chicken wings and they cane out rather pink just kinda disappointed with the overall experience. Also no prices on drinks makes literally no sense tell me how much I'm paying I shouldn't have to ask.

Never been to this Bar Louie Location before tonight but it's pretty cool with outside patio & some seating for upstairs. Food came out nice n hot & drinks were good but service from server was kindve poor. Moved from a table to the bar for better service & it wasn't even crowded. Came here on a Monday night for my girlfriend Birthday.

I’ve been to this location at least 3 times and every time I’ve gone, I’ve had a pretty good experience! Bar Louie’s happy hours never steer you wrong! My most recent time going, my server was so helpful and kind. Drinks were delicious! And the flatbreads and calamari… cleaned the plate😂

Came in with my daughter for a quick bite. There were only 2 servers in the whole restaurant. It took a long time to get our drinks and food. We ordered appetizers they came with the meal. My daughter ordered a burger medium well and it was totally under cooked. The salmon was meh. The fried pickles were good and our server, Ashley was polite and apologetic for the long wait. I probably won't come back. The whole place looks like it could use some updating and a fresh coat of paint.

Gross. I’ve been to this Bar Louie a few times and usually it’s not bad, though I’d never been blown away. Last night I came with a friend for a late dinner. We arrived well before 10pm, around 9:30. There were no hosts or staff around. We went to look for a table, thinking it must be seat yourself, before someone found us and sat us. We ordered right away because apparently the kitchen was about to close. Then, my water came and I was thirsty and didn’t even look til I was almost half done when I saw a large mangled mint leaf glued to the inside of the glass. It had to have come out of the wash like that, then someone filled it w ice and water anyway??? 🤢Then our burgers arrived almost 20 min later and they were disturbingly raw. We had ordered medium but it was seared on the outside, completely red on the inside. I was starved so just ate the outer edges, especially since we’d barely seen any staff. All around a truly terrible experience. When the server brought our check, she joked with me that I was never coming back. Ha! Never going back.

Not sure how or why this shows up as a dive bar, because it is not. That's not a bad thing, it was just way nicer than I was expecting. They didn't have much in the way of beers, as they appear to be more of a cocktail bar. It didn't come off as boogie, but I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon looking from a break from the days work. I was able to walk to it from my location and it is close to L stations. I only had one beer, and took my time with it. The bartender Fantasia was awesome with me taking up a spot for +30min for only 1 beer, and next time I'd have her make me a cocktail instead. But even though I was reading, talking on the phone and generally distracted, she came back several times to check on me. They were more upscale than I was led to believe, but the vibe was laid back, almost like it was a Sunday afternoon. Would come back for cocktails and to try some food. Several ppl were eating and everything looked good.

I ordered a to-go order and think they forgot all the sauces. Dry and plain nachos, no cheese included at all. I asked for extra blue cheese dressing with my buffalo chicken wings and got no dressing at all. Edited Review: the restaurant reached out and wanted to make things right. I know we all are human and probably my experience was not a typical experience. I look forward to trying the restaurant again in the future.

Service was terrible. One bartender threw cash at a customer and dropped the f-bomb on her. I heard it across the bar. The same bartender bit his fingers as he took orders and argued with the other bartender. The manager was very apologetic for his (the bartender's behavior). I was there around midnight. The food was good, but I will not return for a long time due to poor service.

Nice atmosphere, limited workers, long wait for food. BBQ wings and loaded tots are good. You must request sour creme if desired. 6 out of 10 is my assessment of the establishment. Adult beverages look good. I didn't consume any because I attended during my lunch break, and I had to return to work.

It's obviously a sports bar, but it was a good site for a co-worker's retirement party and had quality food and cocktails for the event. Try the An International Affair (left) or the Bourbon Apple Highball (right - it also benefits a veteran's group) if you fancy a cocktail, and the Gastroburger is great - just remember to ask for a ton of napkins when you devour it.

I've been here a lot over the years and the food and service has always been solid enough for me to come back but tonight was something really special. I had a small family get-together, which included my rather reluctant 2-year-old. Our server Jeremy was beyond thoughtful in helping my child get settled at the table and keeping her happy throughout the meal. He was always thinking ahead and anticipating our needs. It was honestly the easiest meal I've had at a restaurant since becoming a parent.

Where do I start .... I cam in about 10 pm and there was no hostess at the stand . After about 5 mins a young lady came and said we can seat ourselves. We got to the table and it was dirty . No one had wiped the table . The waitress was trying her best as she was one of two working with a full house of customers . There was no silverware, we ordered the quesadillas and there was no meat in it . It took over 10 mins for drink orders . The table next to us left and no one cleaned the table off. Ppl entered after us and I can see them looking for a hostess . One waitress walked past them multiple times and never acknowledged them . The entire experience was unacceptable . Highly recommend the one on roosevelt . Not to mention a homeless man came in and sat at a table and no-one acknowledged him either .

Leaving a review to say thanks to our server, Sho, who was super nice and also made some great menu suggestions! Bar Louie itself is exactly what you'd hope for - a reliable, open late, decent chain for an easy meal/drinks - normally not the kind of place I'm itching to leave a review for, but we're in for Sho this time! Here's hoping they win the server competition they mentioned!

First time patron. PROS: Beautiful architecture and excellent customer service! Loved the vibe of the place and quick turnaround of the food order. Also, the food was VERY good! CONS: I paid extra for loaded fries, but there was no Applewood smoked bacon or scallions!?! At least that's how the menu describes loaded fries/tots. This weighs heavily because I was told Bar Louie rocks their loaded fries and I walked there specifically for those loaded fries. LOL. It [the menu] also shows three plump pickles that come with burgers, and I got 1.5 lol. Giving 2 stars now and will update this review when I try them again because I'm definitely coming back.

I’ve been here before drinks were amazing. Now they are warm and nasty. We got a xtra dirty martini, mojito and a blue moon. Martini was warm and watery. Mojito was plain nasty. The beer was warm. Definitely not the same bartender.

We had David as our bartender and he was absolutely AMAZING!! He made sure we taken care of! Made perfect drinks and assured that we got something to eat before the kitchen closed! Thank you David!! 🩷

Stopped in after work for a quick bite. Staff was extremely attentive and friendly! Major plus that the food was tasty. Perfect Friday evening atmosphere for a teacher, or anyone looking to just chill after the work week! 10/10

My lovely wife and I had never visited an establishment like this but all I can say is.. WOW!!!! we were extremely satisfied. The service was awesome. Our sever Jada was very helpful; She offered delicious recommendations, and continuously checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. The food was amazing but our server Jada was outstanding. She went above and beyond of what I expected. My wife and I had and unbelievable experience and will Definitely be coming back.

Jada’s customer service was excellent! She was courteous and professional. She checked on our table several times throughout the evening. As much as people complain, I think that it is equally important to acknowledge the good experiences that you have as well. I was nervous about going out because customer service just hasn’t been the same as of late but Jada really impressed me. Job well done young lady!

Cool place to grab something to eat and hang out with friends or a significant other. Good selection of beer and mixed drinks. Oh yeah customized drinks for the ladies. I can feel a woman smiling right now( show those teeth girl) Great place to hang and enjoy the night.

My husband and I stopped by today for a late lunch and we were very satisfied 😌. There were very few patrons at the restaurant which was pretty rare but worked out well for us. Our server was actually the bartender (Claire is awesome 👌)and the drinks were on point!! The food was good too!! They totally earned 5 stars from us today!

Great location. Awesome covered, outdoor, patio. Beautiful historic interior. Great beer selection. Awesome bloody mary. Staff are friendly and pretty good burgers. Impossible burger was quite good as well.

I work at UPS next door and I’ve been coming to this location for about a year now and I have to say, Claudia and Jake have been the best servers by far! It’s great to finally see people smile again. They’re always on top of it and constantly checking in to see if you are satisfied. Customer service here is amazing! Highly recommend their sangrias :)!

Deanna was the greatest and most friendly waiter I have ever had at a restaurant. The food and service are really wonderful. I think everyone should come to bar Louie and if Deanna is your server tip her extra!!!

Deanna….what can I say? Dolly Parton once wrote a song about a woman named Jolene, her beauty beyond compare with wavy locks of auburn hair. Deanna’s (auburn haired) service was song worthy. She chatted, she joked, she not only showed up…but showed out. All I have ever wanted in a server……not just a server….a life long friend forever. Come to Bar Louie …… you will be changed ….for good.

Finally, able to travel and we came back to Bar Louie right away. Food has always been very good on prior visits to town, here just for drinks today. Clay at the bar served us with a smile and Kevin the manager was super helpful and even remembered our names! See you next year!

Nice bar with a good atmosphere. Lots is sports playing. Basketball. American football and golf. The beer was decent. The staff was friendly. I had beef sliders with tater tots which were really good. Caught a girl having a cheeky chunder in the boys toilets hahaha

Deanna is literally thee best bartender they have! She needs train these new comers because whew! Seriously my order is always right and my drink is always good when she is here! I been coming here for years and stopped for awhile to the constant change over of staff but with the new GM and Deanna I smell a come back!

Decided to hit bar Louie after work and it was an amazing idea. Hailey And Courtney was FANTASTIC bartenders, attentive to me and my crew as well as fast drinks being served. 50 stars if I could give them that. Five stars isn’t enough for these two amazing amazing fantastic peoples.

Incredible salmon sliders!! Server Jessica suggested them. She was excellent, attentive and friendly! When we moved to the bar we had great service from Clay and Ricardo. Highly recommend this location!!!

It was decent. The food wasn't the best but it was a good atmosphere. I was told by management to contact them about my complaint about the food. I sent an email and never got a response. I am not satisfied with the response.

First time in this bar last Saturday. The place is great! The chicken nachos delicious, the bartenders super nice and attentive to us and the drinks were awsome as well! I gave it 3 stars because we were there for an event, paid a lot of money for it and the event were nothing like anyone expected. I am completely sure it was not their fault but I was expecting any other compensation for that since we expend approximately triple for that event of what we would expend a regular dine in at the bar.

Food and drinks were fantastic. Our waitress was awesome despite being super super busy. The only criticism I have is that so many things on the menu looked AMAZING and it made my decision making difficult!! But I didn't go wrong with the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, which was very good. Highly recommended!

Ordered BONE IN dry rub hot wings and boneless wings were brought out to me. Immediately told the waiter and another 10+ minutes went by with me thinking the order was being corrected. Waiter came back and said they were out of traditional bone in wings so they went ahead and cooked boneless wings. Ended up just eating my side salad with the rotten tomato. Waiter was very nice though.

My boyfriend and I loved our waitress Kate. She was a wonderful server and treated us extremely well. It is frequently hard to come by genuine severs in Chicago, but tonight we were reminded of the genuine kindness people can have within such high stress environments. Food was fantastic and our waitress was a delight, how can you beat that!

I’ve been going to Bar Louie for months, and I always sit at the Bar when David is Behind there. Today he was pretty Busy but he always takes good care of me and my friends so I didn’t mind having to wait for him to give me And my friends His undivided attention, its amazing how he always smiles no matter what, His charming ways are just as appreciated as his Drinks. Today He made Us these Two delicious drinks that He still haven’t Decided names for which I told Him I’ll help him out with because they aren’t on the Menu😂. I highly recommend going to go see him. He is Hands down makes the best drinks I’ve ever experienced! Highly recommend going to go see him.

Jordan was an absolute pleasure this past week, even so we came back twice before we left Chicago. He greeted us with the warmest welcome and a charming smile, very professional yet personable . The second night he was training, he was so patient and thorough, his knowledge of the recipes and menu was impressive, you can tell he loves what he does. His smile was contagious and he was so funny, his recommendations were spot on! Chefs kiss! Everything was phenomenal, thanks to him.
