We went there on a Thursday night and there was no wait at all. The restaurant has a casual ambiance and the music was playing at a comfortable volume. We got a seat at the high top table by the window. I ordered The Homage Burger with a side of coleslaw and (to my surprise) was asked how I want the patty cooked. The meat was juicy however some parts were better seasoned and saltier than the other parts. We also got the shrimp cocktail as the appetizer. It was great and I loved that there was a lemon wrap over the lemon (the minute details🤌🏻✨). Coke was refillable.

From the moment we walked in the door the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Craig. Our bellhop from our hotel recommended Doc B’s. He said it was the best. My husband had the shrimp work bowl with brown rice. He thought it was fantastic full of fresh vegetables and very flavorful. I have the wedge burger with sweet potato fries. it was amazing. Odd mixture of items but oh my it was AMAZING!! Yum. The burger was spectacular. The fries were really good. They could have been crispier. Definitely a must try place. .

My family and I came here for the first time over this Father's Day weekend and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing! Such a great experience!

I had a great experience at Doc B’s. The whole vibe is very welcoming. I came in and didn’t know what to get so I asked my server Malina for help. She suggested the wok out bowl I added steak and shrimp and it was exactly what I needed. So savory and the steak was cooked just right. I kept thinking about it on my way to the airport. I also had the old fashion which she made perfect. I can’t want to come back and have this again. Thanks Malina!

The veggie burger was delicious. The beet patty was amazing, the kale and slaw had a nice freshness and sweetness to it. The buttery bun was melting in the mouth. The quinoa salad on the side was great. Deducted one star since the patty had few bites that tasted burnt, and the salad could use little less cucumber, and more chickpea. Overall great taste (probably the best veggie burger in town). Will definitely come back.

Nice ambiance & friendly staff. Tried the chicken bites, which were super flavorful and came with these two amazing dipping sauces. Also tried the guacamole with sweet potato chips. This was super refreshing and crunchy, but needed some more flavor. Drinks were yummy!!

Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Always a busy spot. Their burger patties are definitely different from the rest. Healthy spins and satisfying at the same time. Their "Beet"le Juice cocktail was unique (Beet Juice and Gin) and I love their Kale Slaw option. Also pictured here is their Homage Burger.

My daughter and I are on vacation and just finished Tilt at the Hancock Tower when we were on the hunt for something unique. A Magnificent Mile Ambassador suggested Doc B’s so we gave it a chance. I often joke with the host/hostess that I would appreciate their “best server.” The reaction today was amusing, “It’s Victoria, you won’t be disappointed.” The atmosphere in this restaurant was terrific. The employees genuinely seem to be enjoying themselves and they supported each other by bringing out food that was ready, stopping to clear dishes (pre-bussing) from the table, helping with drinks, etc. It was a refreshing team experience! The pictures show the house made guacamole and sweet potato chips, a backyard burger and fries, and my daughter ordered a Knife and Fork Cobb salad. Everything came out hot (or cold, as appropriate) and was served timely. Victoria was very friendly and took good care of us. The hostess was correct that she did not disappoint! Although a bit more expensive than I would do on a regular basis, it was really tasty! We thoroughly enjoyed this meal!

Excellent service and food. Nice ambiance. Wedge burger was amazing. Sweet potato fries are too thick. Maybe fry them longer?

Do not order the artichokes! Was $17 and not edible. They basically took a raw one and chatted it. Did not soften it at all. I called to let them know, on hold for 20 min to be told that they are supposed to be that way and the intention is to slurp the juice !!! ? What? No. You cooked them wrong. I hung up before resolving it because was put on hold for third time. You can do better.

Wonderful food! The chocolate cake special was delicious - dense but light, with crunchy coconut topped. We had the knife and fork cobb salad and the teriyaki chicken wings! Highly recommend both - just save ruin for that chocolate cake!!!

A very good meal. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, wish the batter had a little more seasoning but was still very tender and delicious. Mama B's chicken pa was fantastic. Chimichurri steak was cooked to perfection, and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Kids chicken tenders were eaten so fast I could not get a picture!! To top it off the chocolate cake was moist and not too sweet. Overall very good and would recommend you try it!!!

Had a surprisingly good meal here. The grilled artichokes, wok out bowls, and salads were all better than expected at a decent price point. Our server was nice and attentive. If you're near the magnificent mile and want a good meal at a fair price, Doc B's is a great option.

We had the tortilla soup, Cajun chicken club and the California salad. The portions were pretty big. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was a livelier.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Doc B's, and let me tell you, it was an absolute culinary experience. My family and I came into the restaurant to get out of the pouring rain on a busy Saturday night. However, the staff found a way to make a table for us. As we sat down, we were greeted by Audrey, our soon to be culinary guardian angel. You know, good service can make or break a dining experience, and at Doc B's, she was absolutely top-notch. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and just a delight to interact with. You know the type, right? Audrey, you're the real MVP! Now, let's get to the food. I don't know about you, but I'm a firm believer that good food should come fast. Now, I've been to places where you wait for your food so long you start writing your memoirs on a napkin. But not at Doc B's, no sir! Our orders came out quicker than you can say "appetizer," and the best part is, they didn't sacrifice quality for speed. The menu at Doc B's is a testament to thoughtful, creative, and delicious cuisine. The flavors were so on point that it's like they had a taste orchestra in the kitchen, playing a symphony in every bite. From their burgers to the sandwiches and those delicious salads, they just nail it. And the sauces, oh the sauces. I could write an essay on the sweet mustard, the savory burger sauce, and the classic ketchup. They don't just make food; they craft edible masterpieces. My taste buds did a happy dance, and my belly sang a love ballad. The flavors, the textures, the balance – it was a full-on taste extravaganza. (Pro Tip try the candied bacon. You won’t regret it!) Now, I know cleanliness isn't the coolest topic to talk about, but when you're dining out, it's kind of a big deal. Doc B's was squeaky clean, from the moment we walked in to the minute we left. The only thing better than a clean restaurant is one where the employees actually seem to care about it being clean. It's like they had a cleanliness SWAT team on duty, ensuring every corner was spotless. It's like they pay as much attention to cleanliness as they do to their food – and that's saying something. In a world of so-so dining experiences, Doc B's stands out like a beacon of culinary excellence. It's the kind of place where you can go for a special occasion or just because you want to treat yourself to some damn good food. So, do yourself a favor, folks, and make a reservation at Doc B's. I promise you, it's a dining experience you won't forget. Cheers to great food, fantastic service, and a clean restaurant – Doc B's, you've got it all!

This was our last dinner in Chicago during a recent vacation. It was not memorable...which isn't a bad thing necessarily, but the place didn't make any lasting impressions with the exception of the candied bacon. Food was ok over all. You can't miss out on the candied bacon appetizer. Now that was truly something special! Service was ok - waiter didn't have much personality, but was prompt.

This is the kind of restaurant that you can order anything. Everything is well prepared and presentations are attractive. You can be daring here and order something you wouldn’t typically order because you can be sure it will be well prepared and chances are you’ll love it. Asst Manager Laura stopped by our table to say hi, it’s nice to feel so welcomed by her. I would like to mention our suburb server, Kamila. We come here frequently, everyone is friendly and helpful. The food and service is crazy good.

This place is amazing! I was stuck in Chicago for a day because of a train delay, but thank God I was. If it had been on time I never would have been able to eat at this fantastic restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly and cheerful, the food was great, and the vibes were immaculate. I came on Monday, so all day happy hour :). The elderflower cocktail was tasty and made me feel very refined. I had the brussel sprout salad, which was more than enough for an entreé. It had a wonderful, cheesy-tasting dressing. The candied bacon was also great, if a bit decadent for my taste. Definitely stop by this place if you are walking down North Michigan Ave. This place is great for solo dining, but the groups there also seemed to be having a great time.

All of the food was on the sweet side even the seasoning on the fries. Food was ok, but would not crave anything again. On the positive side our server was great.

Had a solid experience here. For apps we did the teriyaki wings. They were solid but there wasn’t a lot of meat on the wing and they came out kind of cold. The sauce was really good on them though, I’d give them another chance if I came back. For entrees, the Chimichuri steak was really good for the price. The steak wasn’t the best cut but for the price I was really happy. The fries were awesome and the Chimichuri topping paired with the meat well. Also got the west coast steak sandwich. It was pretty decent but had kind of a weird dressing on it. Overall it was solid but the Chimichuri steak was a better pick. Would be willing to come back and try more items. Service was good too.

I visited the establishment on a Monday at 18h45. The restaurant was full but I was able to order a hamburger at the bar. I took one of their speciality named Hommage burger which cost about 15$ and comes with fries. After 25 minutes of waiting, the server announced that there was an error and the kitchen never started the hamburger. The restaurant expedited a new order that took 5-10 minutes to be ready. They also took care of the cost of my meal which speaks for itself. The hamburger was good and simple.

Oh my gosh, the food here is so freaking good! I went in solo for a beer and sat at the bar. The guy next to me was raving about the food. Then I ordered and was blown away. 2 guys sat to my left that were from Simone Vitale, a band that’s played for the last 3 US PRESIDENTs! When I was raving, and their food arrived, they were raving to the 2 newcomers on the other side of me. It was a whole bar of astonishment. The crispy jalapeño potatoes were hands down the most phenomenal potato dish I have ever had, and I have had potatoes all over the world. The bartenders and staff were perfect. I feel bad I forgot the girls name. She was on the shift right before Royce, they were both great and made the perfect Manhattan. They don’t use those cheap maraschino cherries. They use delicious black cherries.
