I
went
to
Fogo
this
week
visiting
Chicago.
Dining
alone
(yes,
pathetic
😭).
We
have
Churassco
in
my
home
area,
a
couple
different
spots.
So
as
part
of
my
review,
I
am
making
a
comparison.
Fogo's
filet
mignon
was
fantastic.
The
rest
of
the
options
were
good
to
great.
I
was
disappointed
with
the
hotness
of
most
the
meats,
and
the
frequency
and
variety.
It
was
crowded,
which
is
fine
--
for
the
entire
floor,
the
server's
paths
were
not
very
attentive
nor
thorough,
and
while
particularly
bad
for
me,
quite
infrequent
for
everyone.
I
don't
go
to
a
restaurant
to
complain
and
continually
ask
for
service.
Shouldn't
be
expected
to.
I
had
a
couple
people
in
the
staff
notice
and
they
were
very
kind
and
asked
some
servers
to
come
my
way.
I
had
some
fun
conversations
with
a
couple
staff
members.
But
even
then,
I
continually
was
neglected.
I
ended
up
staying
much
longer
than
needed
due
to
waiting.
The
price
is
exorbitant.
I
left
paying
$90
for
just
me.
$40
with
the
good
meats
would
be
ok.
I
did
full
price
and
while
I
overall
enjoyed
it,
I
wouldn't
do
it
again.
My
local
place
is
much
more
thorough.
More
friendly.
Frequent
visits.
Every
server
asks
how
you
like
your
meat,
what
items
you
want,
and
they
remember.
Almost
everything
is
hot,
and
the
servers
head
back
to
throw
it
in
the
fire
if
it's
not.
There
are
more
Churassco
options
(including
a
delicious
glazed/grilled
pineapple)
and
it's
half
the
price.
BTW:
Fogo
de
Chao
made
me
some
grilled
pineapple,
sprinkled
with
sugar
and
cinnamon.
It
was
very
nice
of
them,
and
good,
but
not
quite
like
glazed
:)
Fogo's
Churassco
items
were
good
(as
I
said
above),
but
not
exceptional.
Other
items:
Bacon
from
the
bar:
yum.
Ask
for
spicy
honey
fried
cheese
-
that
was
awesome.
The
free
(stomach
filling)
fried
masa
(I
think?)
was
great.
Had
a
Guarana
-
Brazilian
soda
(a
must
IMO).
Worth
a
visit
if
you've
never
done
Churassco,
and
if
your
pockets
are
deep,
no
problem
:)
Would
leave
3.5
stars,
but
have
to
lean
toward
3.
