The entire experience was great! The service outstanding, the food delicious, and the atmosphere was great!. I love all the memorabilia, guitars, pics, and music. Our server was super friendly, and the manager came by, and we spoke about music, bands, and some of our favorite musicians. He gave me a great tip on a band that I must listen to! This place is perfect for the entire family. We will continue to visit Hard Rock in as many cities as possible.

Hard Rock Cafe Chicago located at 63 W Ontario St, Chicago, IL 60654 is a fantastic Hard Rock!! Clean, friendly employees and management really cares about the quality of the customer’s experience. I got their cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly, the Onion rings delicious, and the (heated up!) BBQ sauce that comes with the Onion Rings is a taste treat. The memorabilia on the walls is awesome, from Guitars used by various Superstars to other items from Bands. Really cool layout of memories. Quite varied menu, but not so large to intimidate or that they can’t make the food freshly. The merchandise store was also great. My server Quan and Manager Emily were tremendous. I’d come here daily during my 3 day Chicago stay, but I want to try a few other places too. This one can be said to be a “tourist trap”, but go ahead and trap me - well taken!!! Oh / and upstairs in the corner there aren’t speakers, so the volume is not loud for those who want to easily talk and not be at normal Rock level. A calm 80 decibel max. The place ROCKS!!

Needed a place to grab a bite after reservations to resturants on the river fell through. We walked in and were seated very quickly. Our waiter was great- very friendly and on top of things. The food was good, we had the steak and cheeseburger with a side salad. All tasted really good and we devoured them. We had a few drinks- the hurricane, tropical margarita, and some electric blues. The hurricane was just ok, a little strong and the tropical margarita was overwhelmingly coconut flavored but the electric blues' tasted awesome! I would really recommend one of those. I liked the live music going on after we came in and was happy that it was audible but not so overwhelmingly loud that you could t have a conversation. My only quibble was it took quite a while to get our food but it was a bit busy at the time so I can understand. Our total came out to 137 which isn't horrible considering we ordered 4 alcoholic drinks, a steak, a salad, and a burger, and we're in Chicago. The dining room was pretty cool too- lots of music memorabilia to look at! All in all it was a pretty good experience and we had a great dinner.

Cool place and no different from other hard rock cafes. The place is clean and roomy. Their servers are polite and very helpful. One even lend her charger and charged my phone.

Food and service excellent. Our waitress Jasmine was warm and friendly. The café was fairly quiet when we visited on a Monday night. We tried to visit the day before but it was closed for a private event. You can’t really go wrong with Hard Rock Cafe for good food, a nice atmosphere and a cool gift shop with locally-themed clothing and accessories. I got a souvenir glass for my cocktail which was Chicago-specific. A nice touch.

I was in Hard Rock with my sister, mom and daughter on 12/2. We had some time to kill before we caught the 530 train and the lighted guitar caught our eye. Honestly, we should have known that something was up, because every other place along Clark was packed which is why we had kept walking. There were 2 tables, and 6 people at the bar. We were seated in a very worn out booth, and asked to be switched to a table because we were all uncomfortable seated in sagging booth seats. We moved to a table and were much more comfortable. Our server was very soft spoken and sweet. We decided to just order appetizers. We ultimately decided to go with the Bangkok Shrimp, Nachos with Steak, beans on the side and boneless wings for my daughter. The nachos were dismal and that is putting it delicately. There was barely any cheese on the entire platter, diced tomatoes, huge pieces of pickled onions and maybe some scallions. The "ranch" beans we asked for on the side literally looked like baked beans. The $7.00 upcharge for steak was a joke. Whatever piece of meat they added to the dish looked like it had just been dumped in a pile and was cold. The shrimp looked good, although oddly plated on top of a both of lukewarm coleslaw, but had little to no flavor. We did run them through the excess sauce of the wings and it helped a little. My daughter enjoyed the spicy/sweet wings, she is 13. My sister had one beer and the rest of us had soda. The bill was $85.00. A manager did stop by the table and ask how everything was, my sister replied with "Since you asked, it was not good" and went into detail. We got the regular, what can I do to make it right etc. Our first suggestion would be to serve appetizers that are appetizing. There is absolutely no way I would ever go back to this location, let alone order an entree when the appetizers are terrible. Not sure what is going on here, but the staff looks disheveled, the food is depressing and the ambiance is lacking. This place should be packed on a Saturday, even before dinner time. It isn't. And that should tell you something.

Today was our first time ever in Chicago, and at a Hard Rock Cafe. Staff from the moment we entered was friendly, let us know where to find stuff and our Server Dan, was amazing! I got a mini Oreo milkshake (to die for) and my drink was a mango berry drink also (to die for). My wife ordered a country burger which was a little too well done, but outside of that was great. Their fries were amazing. I ordered the chick Mac n cheese pasta, which my first dish came out and there was a hair in it. But Dan and the manager corrected it right away, brought me a new dish and even comped it off our ticket even though I never even asked them too. It was honestly a genuinely great experience and I would highly recommend this location!

Easy to find. Parking available, the staff is very friendly. Good options in the clothing store. Live music is availble during weekdays. Several options of food to try. Good cocktails as well. Several tables. Amazing decor with facts and info about musicians and bands. Good option to have lunch or dinner.

First time eating at this restaurant. Seems small from the outside but was pleasantly surprised once we got inside . The menu is not extensive but the food was good . The staff is excellent! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Twice during the meal a different manager came over to ask us about the food and service . It’s very nice to see such care and professionalism . The only thing that irritated me was I called to make a reservation for the evening I was told I had to do it through open table which made no sense seeing how I was on the phone . I made the reservation but the earliest was a hour away . Waited a few minutes and thought i wonder if they are even busy and called back . I was informed that there was no wait at the moment ! My question is when I call why was i not informed that I could make a reservation if I wanted however we are not busy . Anyway overall a good experience

Food and customer service were great! We did not know about live music from 8pm to 10pm on Friday night. Impossible to have any conversations. Music was great! Bluesy vibe 🎵

This place has all good things to offer. We had an amazing time dining here. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the cherry on top of the cake is overall vibe and good music. Although it took an hour for us to get seated due to the wait times, we still enjoyed being there with the music. The food was fresh, tasty and good portion sizes. Kids enjoyed it a lot with the live band playing some of the favourites.Overall a pretty good experience. Just feel that parking was bit too much, have visited other downtown restaurants, usually all restaurants validate parking tickets if you dine with them but this one didn't although the parking is in the same lot.

I finally made to Chicago and having dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. 🎸 🍽 The outside view of the restaurant is deceiving. It looks small outside but it's actually large inside the building. There is a gift shop upon entering the restaurant and make sure you look up as you are walking in to view the light fixture made of multitude guitars. The atmosphere is exciting and blissful as my eyes are in motion to glance at everything. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries. The waiter offered to sign up for their rewards and get a free dessert, nice! I loved the presentation of the food plate. The burger was cooked perfect to order and the fries were very flavorable with seasonings. The waiter gave me a mini chocolate guitar which I loved.💙 I walked around and viewed photos, costumes and of course guitars. 🎸

Food WAS good, but the portion size didn't justify the prices. I get it's a "tourist trap", but still. $80 before tip just for appitizee, a cheap(er) entree, a drink and a shot. Waitress was awesome, but I think the novelty and high prices are driving people off, it was DEAD at 6pm.

Cannot fault my time here at Hard Rock Chicago. The entire experience was amazing, from the staff, to the food, and the atmosphere. We visited on a Tuesday evening, where it was rather quiet. Staff seated us immediately, and were kind and polite throughout. Food was served quickly, and was piping hot and fresh. It was honestly delicious! Our food and drinks total came out to ~$350, but this was between 8 of us, including the pint glasses and tip. ~$50 each was very reasonable, considering the service, food, and experience. I've visited a few Hard Rock cafés in a few countries, and my visit to the Chicago branch has to have been my favourite so far!

Hunter was our server. Highly recommend. Was able to get a reservation online for a group of 6 people. Accessible parking. The hostess and staff were all very kind. High customer service. The atmosphere is chill and laid back. Music memorabilia everywhere and you are allowed to walk around and check things out. High quality burgers. Great drink selections. Thank you Hunter and staff for making our night so much fun!

My chicken nachos were REALLY good. Like a huge portion and such good flavor. but the restaurant was COLD inside. We had a really sweet server. Literally the only reason it's not 5 stars is because it was cold af outside and then cold af inside. Lol weird. I know a lot of restaurants are a little chilly but sheesh. Good food though.

Super fun atmosphere! The waitress was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was good. The fries were great. Take into account you pay for the experience but I only gave the food 4 stars because even tho the food was good, it is extremely expensive. Cheapest meals started at $18.

Good music, great food, friendly service. Love the Hurricane drink HRC makes. The burger (topped with an onion ring and bacon yum) and mac n cheese were delicious. Save room for the out of this world brownie ice cream dessert.

Hard Rock Cafe Chicago is the one of the most iconic HRC store of the US! Iconic. It has an expressive music’s stuff collection! Also we have the one of the most amazing staff!

One of the last few TRUE Hard Rock Cafes left in the USA. Lots of great stuff on display and it hasn’t been douche-bagged out and had a total loss of the original vision of HRC like so many of the others have. Get out here and enjoy one of the last few good locations!

Best time I've had at a restaurant in a long time. The food was great, but the service was second to none. If you stop in, ask for a server named Hunter. You will not be disappointed. And to Hard Rock Cafe, whatever you're paying Hunter, he deserves a raise!

Food and service was very good. The guy working the vallet was very nice as well. I didn't realize how small there menu was. But either way the cheeseburgers and fries were delicious. And so was there mini milkshake. Our waiter ray was fantastic

Last time visiting here was 2007. Stopped in twice this past week for lunch. Food and service excellent. Both times we had Nicolette as our waitress. The service she provided us , the recommendations on the menu , to the conversations really made our visit the best.Thank you Nicolette and hard rock.

Pasta were both gorgeous and lush, the waitress was amazing and let us look around whilst we waited for our food and before we paid. Live music whilst we were there at 5pm, great time for a couple.

Food and waitstaff were pretty good but the gift store was less than ideal. Ambience and environment in the restaurant were pleasant and relaxed with very enjoyable music. We enjoyed looking at the memorabilia. After making over $150 in purchases, we decided we would rather have a shirt rather than one of the hats we selected. The lady behind the counter on 6/19 rolled her eyes and appeared put out at the request. A non-starter in terms of reviews for me.

Great place to hang out and grab a bite to eat while having a few drinks. I really enjoyed coming here at having the chicken wings, along with my drink. Bartender was so awesome and very attentive. I will definitely be coming here again. Thank you Hard Rock Cafe.

Restaurant was not packed on Late night on Friday. I was happy to get a good seat. Food was cold. I ordered Bbq pull pork. It tasted ok. I like the coleslaw and fries the best. Server was attentive and nice. Food was underwhelming.

  • 3/5 Mathias F. 2 years ago on Google
Kudos to the staff and venue as they were extremely attentive and friendly. However the food did not taste good, i think the kitchen must've mixed a "medium rare" and "well-done" burger. The meal in general was slightly " bland" in taste, had the classic legendary burger.

Went to HRC yesterday and had an amazing customer service experience, hosted by the lovely JOSH! He was amazing, always made sure we were all set & comfortable. Will definitely be back as long as he’s on shift!☺️ The MESSI burger was awesome!
