Scrambled eggs here were outstanding and the pancakes are delicious. The eggs benedict are not only tasty, but beautiful. This corner Cafe is conveniently located in the Theater District and has a quaint, yet trendy atmosphere. The only downfall was an extremely rude, inattentive server. She seemed bothered by the need to serve. But the food was outstanding.

If you are looking for authentic Chinese food and are especially fond of fried chicken with chili oil or boiled fish in chili oil, you’ll be right at home here. Their duck soup, that they serve before the meal, is just about worth the trip on its own - so good! During COVID, the employees are all wearing masks and sanitizer is readily available. Customers are well separated from one another. The food comes out fast and hot. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in ordering dishes. In short, if you are craving some authentic Chinese food, especially spicy chicken/fish, this place is a great option, even during the COVID era.

Fantastic food, incredible service. Great setting worth the hype. The menu is extensive offering the normal American favorites with lots of non-traditional fare that is worth exploring. A limited number of Dim Sum items are available. Best to come and share around the table. Prices are elevated but fair for the quality served.

Blend of spices and the flavors are delectable. Loved the ambience and the service. I usually like my food less oily so this might just me but that's the only reason why I would take a star off my rating. However, I'd definitely recommend dining here if you are around the loop and into Chinese cuisine.

The breakfast here is superb. You definitely want to try the pancakes or the waffles. The pancakes have caramelized apples. The bacon is thick and crisp. You can also visit during happy hour. The restaurant is spacious enough for a small group of larger party.

This place offers really great breakfast and lunch menus. Really solid. You may think they are bit pricey, but for what you get it is definitely worth that price. They come out good and big - you will get your system filled up in this place. I'll definitely recommend this place to others, great place.

Great brunch option for those who live around the Loop and are not willing to travel during a lazy Sunday morning/afternoon. The menu offers everything we crave during a good brunch: waffles, pancakes, Benedict’s and sandwiches. The super green Benedict was super tasty: perfect blend of avocado, crispy artichoke and creamy spinach with a “yolky” poached egg! Nothing better than 2 thick slices of delicious bacon to complement i!

I came here on a whim after church last Sunday for breakfast. I walk by it all the time so finally decided to try out my first French brasserie. The interior is quite nice and had a lively, brunch-like atmosphere even though not many people were drinking. We were seated immediately near the pastry display, which contained dozens of various donuts, croissants and other bread products. I took the waitress's suggestion and ordered the corned beef hash with a side of bacon. The cocktails were all $12, so I decided to just get a coffee and save the drinking for later. There was only one waitress in our area (or maybe the entire restaurant), so the service was a little erratic. After forgetting my coffee at first, and then the cream after that, I finally had my drink by the time the food came. The corned beef hash was savory but not extremely flavorful, however the poached eggs I ordered on it were nice and runny. The bacon was thick and crispy, but I couldn't help but with it was the jalepeno bacon at 25 Degrees. Overall, this place is a nice place to stop for an expensive, sober brunch downtown. However, if you want a boozy brunch I suggest you look elsewhere.

I really like this place. I've been here many times and the only bad thing I have to say is that it can be a bit loud. But the food is always great! The drinks and wines are excellent. Todd the bartender too care of me today and did an excellent job. One of the few French restaurant in the downtown area and what an excellent place to go.

Pre-COVID, I ate indoors here several times and always had a pleasant time. Post-COVID, I have ordered takeout from Lao Sze Chuan multiple times and it is consistently good. I am a creature of habit and always order wonton soup and chicken & broccoli. The soup has a flavorful broth and the wontons are made with good meat. The chicken and broccoli comes in a delicious brown sauce and the chicken is good quality. The dish is not greasy at all. My husband usually orders a beef dish and is always pleased. Very good and consistent Chinese food.

The food is good. Love the bubble tea. But don't go here if you want good service. Waitresses are super short and rude. As we sat waiting for our food, we heard people leave, every person that walked out complained about the service. I kept having to cleaning my hands with sanitizer as it was very clear they where not taking any precuations due to COVID. Dirty cups and a table got additude when they asked for clean cups. Not the place to go if you concerns over COViD. Such a shame as food and bubble teas are really good but won't be returning.

Walked in for a dine in and got seated right away. The place was pretty empty which was nice, but we were sat a bit too close to another couple directly behind us. The food was great and I have no complaints about the taste or quality, but it was a bit pricey ($16-18 for a main course). The wait for the main dish did take awhile but the waitress did warn us about that and I'm guessing it was because there were a lot of to go orders, so I don't count it against them. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating to substitutions (swapped out one vegetable with another in the kung pao chicken dish), which a lot of Chinese places don't do. Overall I would definitely come here again and only took off one star because the prices were a bit high to comparable restaurants.

Our lunch here was kind of dull, the food for me just did not live up to it's hype. However, the drinks are really delectable.

We tried take-out twice from them, 3 months apart. Both times I waited about 30 minutes past the given pickup time for my food (and the first of those, the place was empty besides me and I was told “a few more minutes” over and over during the wait). On each trip, 1 or 2 items were wrong - the wrong meat twice and a lot of spice in a fried rice dish marked as “no spice”. Disorganized and unprofessional. Won’t be returning for a third try.

This is as good as it gets! One of my FAVORITE places to go in the DTLA area. Their galbitang is to die for! While the wait is almost always 45-60min long, it is absolutely worth it! If you want to beat the line, try going an hour before the lunch rush or around 5pm.I've heard all the rage about the galbijjim, but I just can't help but order the galbitang! One of these days...

Great food! The service was so so.. the waitress didn’t even smile back or even respond to our ‘ thank you’.. she even didn’t care to talk lol very weird and kind of rude. The food was so good that it compensated for bad service. Indeed. I hope these people take this seriously and act on this. Now about the good part : I ordered sole fish sauce with rice as main course which was hot and sweet and well balanced. Crispy shrimps with garlic sauce were so fresh and delicious ! the spicy dumplings were great too .. Next time I visit here, I should visit with more people so that I can try the traditional duck.

The beef noodle soup was always our favorite until today, which tasted like some leftover. The soup was not the original beef soup but some tasteless soy sauce water. Never buy from this restaurant again, as the quality is not consistent and very often compromised. On top of the delivery fee charged by online delivery they charge everything $5 for delivery. A soup costs little above $10 but we spent ten delivery fee total. Absurd.

Excellent service, food menu was pretty solid but mostly uninspiring. I was happy with the meal, but at this price point I would expect better vision from the kitchen. For example, the mussel frites--the presentation with the fries was somewhat bizarre, as they were already starting to get soggy and the mussel sauce was soso. The bruschetta was on high quality sourdough, but was primarily just a massive amount of bland peas. The salad was kind of confusing, the fry ball was a weird addition and the vinaigrette was kind of oppressive, without any refreshing notes. Cocktails were good, and the wine list was alright--definitely not priced to sell bottles, but by the glass was fine. I think the staff is a huge plus (our server was lovely), with some rework of the menu I could definitely consider coming back. It's a crowded market segment in Chicago, I would like to see some differentiation.

If you want delicious breakfast and are in the mood for a drawn out morning and several cups of great coffee, this is your place. Unusual and delicious breakfast items, superb service and strong delicious coffee. The ambiance is quite pleasant with one side of the restaurant for leisurely breakfast, and the other side for quick takeouts. Best of both worlds. The French version of biscuits and gravy with duck confit and foie gravy was absolutely delicious. I am sure lunch is just as good.

The food was mediocre but overpriced.. even for the city of Chicago. The waitress was slow and rude. We will wait for 10-15 minutes just to get some napkins. We decided we will not tip. The waitress followed us as we exited the restaurant and asked for a tip. We explained that the service does not deserve a tip and she told us not to come back again. Don't worry ma'am... we definitely won't be coming back.

Went for my birthday dinner this evening. It was myself and five friends. The restaurant was very clean, with a favorable menu, and perfect service. It was great to have a team of people serving us, impressive. We ordered a ton.. Xlb, Rangoon, pea pods, soups, fried rice, and 4 entrees. It was all timed well where we never felt rushed or crowded. They even brought us an extra side table. We also had drinks in addition to the black / gold sake per our server's recommendation, which was super smooth. I've always ordered take out, but this was my first dine in experience, and I will absolutely be back.

WOWOWOW!!! BEST FOOD YOU CAN GET ON MICHIGAN AVE. The lunch special is the best deal in town. $10 EVEN for an entree, app and soda. I had the kung pao shrimp and was utterly blown away. I have lived in the city my whole life and I’m kicking myself for not finding this place sooner. Service was phenomenal, my host was super cool and I got my food within 10 minutes. I normally don’t write reviews, I’m just SO SHOCKED by the quality of this place! Check it out if you’re downtown, ESPECIALLY for the lunch special, monday’s-friday’s 11-3.

Sorry for bad grammar or English if so. Love the boba but sadly they didn't have it at the time, kinda disappointed at the least. The costumer service is very poor also. Food is okay but not the best. So I give this place a 3 star rating. But yall should check out the restaurant! I recommend the boba tea the most!

High quality top tier Chinese food. Authentic Chinese beers, full bar, excellent dishes. Had the delicious seabass with broccoli. It was a whole round cross section filet served in a perfect ginger soy sauce. I also recommend the garlic beans. Their fried rice comes in many choices. We enjoyed the duck fried rice.

Ordered dinner through Grubhub. Waited two hours for delivery and it never came. Called the restaurant and they said “so sorry we were crazy busy we couldn’t make your order”. No phone call from them, nothing. GrubHub has charged my credit card so now I have to work to get a refund. I will never order from this restaurant or go there again. What a pitiful excuse for customer service.

Visited here in Sept of 2019. Ordered Eggs Benedict and the english muffin on one of them was so tough my knife couldn't cut it! Upon showing this to the waiter he took it away and quickly returned with a new one. However to my dismay, the new one had a slightly frozen centre which indicated to me that the Eggs Benedict was premade and stored in a freezer. 🤔

Took up Thrillist's suggestion and tried the brunch burger. Didn't regret it, with its triple (what!) patty (1. beef 2. breakfast sausage 3. fried hash browns), american cheese, pickles, bacon, sunny side up egg, and avocado). Was pretty great. The downside? The $17 price tag and the bed of arugula which was way too drenched in vinaigrette.

Today makes my second visit to this adorable brassiere here in the Loop. I was actually craving an omelette; but unfortunately lunch options are only served here now during our current pandemic. I still decided to sit outside and I chose a very decadent and generously portioned Croquemonsier which was served open faced and extremely creamy with melted cheeses and ham. Herbed french fries and a tiny arugula salad accompanied my meal and trust me I still have leftovers. A year ago a client of mine brought me here for light evening snacks and I truly enjoyed everything we sampled; but right now the restaurant has shortened hours so come here and have a gourmet lunch and sit outside to people watch. The outside patio is beautiful and peaceful with a great sidewalk view. My server was friendly and provided me with a huge pitcher of fresh water, lemons and limes to quench my thirst. You can choose a salad entree, sandwiches and light snacks but breakfast and dinners are not available for now. The food is definitely worth the price and the service here is impeccable!

Our first visit and were pleasantly surprised. I would take a reservation though the place is huge. This is closest you are going to get to authentic Chinese food. There were more Asian s in the restaurant which tells it all. The spicy cabbage, bean salad was amazing and we topped it off with veg hot pot. The meal was highly satisfying. I would give 5 stars but was disappointed with bar service. One local beer was not available and the other was not cold enough. Our second visit we tried the dry pepper tofu and fried noodles. Simply delicious. Our 12 year daughter joined us to enjoy too. I would recommend the chef to reduce the oil. Just too much.

Probably the favorite go-to Korean restaurant in Chicago. Both the food and the service is fantastic. If you come here, you have to try the galbi jjim with cheese. This is the probably some of the best galbi you will ever have. Probably don't expect to get a table very soon because this place is always full. If you are down for late-night craving food, I usually come here around 1 am and btw it's opening 24/7 if the coronavirus outbreak is over. Have a couple beer and a great galbi jjim with some reddish and kimchi is way to live.
