I've always gone Uno's since I moved to Chicago in 1970, after all its the original! Never ever been to Due's, but now it's my favorite! Why? Less tourists! Same great pizza, less crowded. According to bartender Alex, many more local regulars.

Loved the deep dish pizza, Bruce our server gave 5 star service but the atmosphere I give a 3. But honestly when food and service is 5 star I don’t care much for atmosphere. We ordered an individual salad and three of us were able to share it. We also ordered spaghetti with meatballs and that came with a salad. The deep dish pizza comes with a warning: it takes 45 minutes to make. We happily waited and it was less time. We did come at a time when it want too crowded. We enjoyed our food and even has leftover to take back to our hotel. This restaurant was only 2 blocks from our hotel. Definitely recommend coming here!

One of the great places to have an authentic deep-dish Chicago pizza. Staff is nice and place is very crowded. Make sure to make reservations beforehand. My order took around 45 minutes to be ready. They let me know about the time as soon as I ordered so be prepared. The pizza is really good and the dough very thick. It’s unfair to compare to a classic pizza. It’s a “different” thing. More like a pie pizza. Be careful before ordering because the slices are big and thick.

I finally made it and it didn't disappoint! The staff was friendly.....it was a little packed but since we where a party of 2 they did accommodate. Expect a 45 minute wait for pizza. But worth the wait..... The deep dish pizza is very feeling and you can literally taste that all the ingredients are fresh. The smoothies are also very mouth watering. If your in Chicago it's a must go.

We went walking up and down Michigan Ave and got an appetite. So we came across this place. We decided to eat here because I was craving pasta. Once inside, there was not much on the menu for pasta, just pizza. Pasta had 2 dishes and I went with spaghetti and meatballs. The other dish was Pene Pasta with meatless sauce. I also had a house salad that was delicious. The spaghetti sauce was Ok, but I still ate it all. Barry was very nice and attentive. The Atmosphere was cool. Maybe next time I'll try the Pizza.

Even though it's called "second", it was my first place to have a deep dish pizza (that was not previously frozen). I loved how flavorful and meaty it was. The wait was excruciating 45 minutes, and we were warned about it. In the meantime, we got cheesy garlic bread with marinara dipping sauce and individual special salad. The salad is quite large for one person, even if you don't get to eat anything else. The garlic bread didn't have much garlic but had a cheese pull to compensate. When the small Numero Uno pizza arrived, we were somewhat full. Our server, Kumar, neatly cut it into 4 pieces, but we only finished half of it. Even reheated the pizza made a perfect lunch the next day. The restaurant also has a free refill of PepsiCo drinks. The place has a lot of pictures of old-time Chicago on the walls that you can explore while waiting for the order. The dining area is in the lower level of a mansion, so it's rather dark; the windows don't let much sunlight in. The music is various; to be honest, I didn't expect to hear "Eye of the Tiger."

This was my very first time having a deep dish pizza and folks, it was AMAZING! the whole experience of visiting Pizzeria Due was one of a kind. Staff was extremely friendly and everyone seemed to be focused on really helping and accommodating all guests. there was no stress or negativity just pure focus on what mattered, good service. we arrived and it didn't take long before we had our spot at the bar. both bartenders were very kind, soft spoken and patient. they offered a good choice of beer, wine and maybe any kind of hard liquor. our order was placed right away and it didn't take long before we were enjoying our slices of pizza. Thank you and congrats to the owners and staff of Pizzeria Due for keeping this legendary restaurant up to this high quality of service. I'll be returning here every time I'm in town. Bravo!

A culinary touchstone. You have to come here at least once. The buttery crunch of the crusty deep pie is something truly unique. Vegetable slices as a starter looked a little sad, carrots and cauliflower had certainly seen better days (weeks?). The cheesy garlic bread was delicious. Decent local tap list, prices were eye-watering though! We had the spinach/broccoli pie and the 'default' meat pie. Both fantastic. The individual size, the smallest, was fine for me. One slice will knock you out, so plan a sit down activity for after lunch If you're visiting Chicago, you're coming here or to Uno, regardless of reviews - and it's worth it.

Super cool deep dish pizza place in Chicago. Recommended to us by locals. A short wait as we didn't have reservations- maybe 10 minutes. It's a small place, seating for maybe 60. Simple awesome menu. We tried 2 different salads, thin & deep dish pizza, meatballs, oreo shake. Meatballs- 10 Shake- 9 Salads- 9 Pizzas- 10 Service was bad. No other way to describe it. But we were on vacation, had time to spare, and got great Chicago pizza.

This place was such a let down. We got a Caesar salad which was gross. The thin crust cheese pizza was underwhelming—the pizza was tasteless. The soup we ordered was completely forgotten. The service took forever. Cutlery was forgotten so I fetched it for our table since I wasn’t willing to wait even longer. What a disappointment.

I highly recommend. The deep dish pizza was delicious. The large pizzas are enough to feed 4-5 people. One slice and a salad was all I could eat. The waitress was hopping because the computers were down. Overall a nice experience.

A fantastic version of the Chicago Deep Dish style. As a New Yorker I definitely recommend trying this spot.

First of all the service was excellent. We ordered two appetizers, Garlic bread with cheese which my family loved. We also ordered the meatballs they were mediocre at best. For our main entree we ordered a deep dish pizza with pepperoni and sausage. This was not good at all. We have had many deep dish pizzas in Chicago....this one was lacking. The crust had no flavor. The sauce was missing something and it was not cheesy at all. The crust was extremely hard...not crispy ..hard. The pepperoni was very greasy and flavorless, don't even get me started on the sausage... But once again... customer service is awesome which is such a take away.

mid-level cafe. the pizza is pretty good. the interior is not very tidy, the toilet needs more care. the dishes are very old and shabby. prices are above average.

Adventuring in Chicago has to include deep dish. At least that is what everyone not from Chicago says. So we did the only logical thing and began the search. Day one in the windy city, this place caught my eye. Everything about it looks like it was frozen in time in the 1950s. There was a bit of a wait to get seated, but man, oh man, I would of camped out now knowing how great the pizza is. The pizza sauce was ah maze ing. It was so fresh, perfectly balanced, and you can taste the authenticity in it. The dough was supper soft on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside. Great experience, great food, and great people. I was so glad I listened to my gut and did the whole deep dish thing even though I'm from Jersey and Frank's still got my heart.

Wanted to simply experience the Chicago deep dish pie. Definitely unlike anything I've ever tasted. One time will be more than enough for me. The crust tastes more like a savory cake. I got a cheese pizza with pesto, instead of red sauce. It tasted like a massive cheesy bread. I've never had such bad heart burn, lol

My first time at Due and it was simply amazing. Be prepare to wait a bit, deep dish pizza does take about 20 minutes to cook but I thought it was worth the wait. A medium is more than enough for 3 adults. Restaurant is definitely catered towards tourist but good pizza is still hard to turn down.

For four of us, we ordered 2 large deep dish pies to make sure we had leftovers. Both the sausage and pepperoni pies were great. Crust was perfect and our server Richard P. was very polite and responsive.

The pizza is still good, but everything else needs work. Buffalo wings were a mix of undercooked wings (that still had rubbery chicken skin) and old dry wings (that were really tough and weirdly tiny). Salad is very basic as well. Service was solid as usual though and the draft beer selection was good. But you're better off skipping apps and just getting a deep dish pizza.

Loved loved this place! The pizza was phenomenal. We did not get the deep dish and it was the best decision. The cheese breadsticks were great too. It’s a little cramped in the basement where we sat. Fun experience overall! The building had a cool old vibe to it! Our waiter was great too!

I went by myself and sat on the bar, had an individual traditional pizza with a cocktail and then some beer (and cheesecake as dessert), always following the suggestions of the barman (Alex, if I'm not mistaken), who was very pleasant and easygoing to talk, but also respectful and not invasive. The food was very good (but you always have to remember to have some patience when ordering deep dish). For a real 'Chicago pizza' experience I would recommend it rather then anywhere else.

Great pizza, wonderful wait staff. I like the pizza here more than the ones at Uno. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get the deep dish, but it's worth the wait. Tastes great. For individual who is very hungry a small pizza will do. I would get the appetizers they are essential part of your Due experience.

The pizza was so good and with a reservation and ordering pizza ahead of time we were able to get in super easy! The food was really good. Our waitress didn’t come around as often as we would have liked so getting the check took quite a while. Otherwise it was a great experience!

The pizza here is the best in the world. The overall atmosphere is authentic and the people are always super nice. These deep dish pizzas are super filling. If you’re enjoying it yourself, get the smallest size. Even the small is perfect for three people. The cocktails are good and the prices are very reasonable.

Came in here once for drinks and had an excellent time at the bar, the bartender was awesome and we had a couple there with us we had great conversation with. Other than being a little warm and stuffy it was great. The couple recommended coming back for pizza claiming it was the best Chicago deep dish, and we did the next day. They told us the secret to their pizza being so good is they never wash their pans... The experience getting food the next day wasn't quite as great. There was only two other tables finishing up so being in a hurry that was nice. The place was really warm again but even hotter this time, and the bathrooms were almost twice as hot it was disgustingly hot in there. We were in a hurry and we're just there to eat, unfortunately it took about 10 minutes for our server to come over to us we debated leaving but didn't have any other plan and decided to stick it out. When she did get there we ordered right away and we're told it was going to be about 45 minutes. It was what it was. After she leaves our table in the time it took for her to get to us three other groups of people walked in. So of course she goes to those tables and gets drinks and appetizer orders. Luckily somebody decided to turn the heat off and it started cooling off and they're real quick. Cuz I was starting to get heated. After about 50 minutes our food came out. Was a real pain trying to eat quickly and not burn your mouth at the same time. The pizza was cooked on even you can see in the one photo one side was slightly blackened and the other side was golden like it should be. Would expect them to rotate their pizzas can't believe they cook every pizza like this. One side was perfect and the other side was hard. Brought the star rating right down to three.

Absolutely delicious and a great experience, as usual. Pictured: the four cheese and pesto deep dish, individual size.

The original! We had to come by and check out Uno. We will be back in town later for Due! The server was very friendly and attentive. She did tell us it was a long wait (we showed up at 11:30am and got our food about 12:15pm with few people there). The pizza itself was good, though we got the smallest size (individual) and I feel like you don’t get the same experience with a slice that small. Will have to try a bigger size before we leave!

We ate here on a family vacation. This was our second try with deep dish pizza. Our first try was Giordono's. We all preferred Due but also learned that deep dish pizza is not our thing. The service here was great though. The toppings where also really good and plentiful.

Pizza is great. Garlic bread is nothing better than cheap garlic bread you can buy in the grocery store and make at home. Deep and thin crust pizza are both great though. Very cool little place.

We stopped in Pizzeria Due for late night pizzas with friends. Service here was great. Pizza was ok. Good place to stop in if you want a late night pizza. Pizza takes about 45 minutes to come out. We ordered some wings and appetizers will we waited for it to come out.
