Compared
to
other
steakhouses
in
Chicago
I
would
not
recommend
BLVD.
The
ambiance
is
beautiful,
everyone
was
very
friendly
(especially
the
hostess
and
the
bussers
and
food
runners),
our
server/the
service
we
received
definitely
was
lacking,
the
food
overall
was
fine,
nothing
spectacular.
The
cocktails
were
a
huge
disappointment.
I
ordered
an
old
fashioned
with
Bulleit,
it
was
served
in
a
dirty
glass
(which
the
bartender
should
have
noticed),
it
was
watered
down,
unpleasantly
sweet,
and
missing
a
luxardo
cherry
-
it
was
the
quality
I'd
expect
if
someone
ordered
one
from
a
dive
bar...three
others
in
my
party
ordered
different
cocktails
and
said
theirs
were
not
good
either.
By
the
end
of
the
meal
I
was
wishing
we
had
gone
to
Swift
&
Sons
or
RPM
Steak
or
Perry's
where
I've
always
had
a
flawless
experience
from
start
to
finish,
not
only
is
the
food
phenomenal,
but
also
the
cocktails
are
made
correctly
and
are
amazing
(and
never
once
have
I
been
given
a
dirty
glass),
not
to
mention
the
service
is
always
impeccable.
Nothing
wrong
with
BLVD
per
say,
but
there
are
definitely
better
options
for
a
steakhouse
in
my
opinion.

We
told
our
server
we
were
celebrating
our
friends
birthday
that
evening
and
aside
from
a
brief
"oh
happy
birthday"
acknowledgment,
which
seemed
very
non
authentic,
that
was
it
-
all
he
had
to
do
was
stick
a
candle
in
the
dessert
for
her
that
we
had
ordered
and
that
small
gesture
would
have
gone
a
long
way.
It's
the
little
things
that
make
for
a
memorable
experience.
