Lourdes was a great waitress and made us feel welcome. Thanks to her attentive service we enjoyed a great team outing. The manager Felix on the other hand was very rude. One of our attendees dropped his margarita and the glass splatter on the floor thankfully nothing happened but as we asked for the manager Felix to either give us credit for the margarita or remove it from the bill he continued to give us a very bad attitude and speech. He said you are the ones who broke the glass so I don’t have to do anything. As I proceeded to say you are lucky he didn’t cut himself he then continue with his bad attitude. he ended up sending a margarita to our table but he didn’t have to make us change a great experience with Lourdes and the restaurant to a uncomfortable one and not a very good experience. Management should be train on proving a better service specially in downtown Chicago. By the way our bill was $422.00 dollars so is not like we wanted a free bill. If Felix treats customers like that I can’t imagine how he treats the employees. Entitlement is not welcome now a days and people with a lock of kindness should not be in the service industry they can work on a different industry where they don’t have to deal with customer or people In general. My biggest disappointment was how he didn’t show any concern on the broken glass or what could off have happened at his establishment. Thank you

I got the Shredded Beef Enchiladas and they were great!! Sauce was red and not spicy but very flavorful! The chips and salsa were very good with a habanero salsa - spicy!!! Great through. Service was quick and friendly. Great place for an affordable low key Mexican meal.

Totally not worth the price! There are way better restaurants around with really great food and ambience. I did not like the taste of the food. The chicken in my taco order seemed uncooked and lacked any kind of seasoning. The fish taco also wasn’t great at all. Food had some kind of smell which was not appetizing at all. The drink I ordered mexican mule did not seem like a cocktail - it was more like tequila poured in ice. Overall a bad pick.

Good Salsa, good drink non existing customer waitress service. Food looked good but I could barely chew the steak. Just horrible. I didn't see waitress after my drink was delivered while I was in restroom. Didn't see her until well after 15 minutes or more. I needed to inform her that flies were on my limes & wanted them replaced with the lemons that I asked for anyway. Well I couldn't because she never came to see about me

My server wasn’t attentive… at all. There was a rock in my beans which nearly broke my molar (not even kidding). When the waitress with an attitude finally came back to us, I told her and she said “I’ll tell the chef”. Offered no resolution whatsoever. I won’t be coming back. The food is bland and overpriced. The service sucks. They’ll try to sell you pictures -say no. It’s tacky. Many many better places nearby.

The service is great and the staff are both friendly and efficient, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. We tried the chicken fajitas, as well as the chicken and steak enchiladas. The spice level is bland to the point of being non-existent. The salsa too, was a bit watery, again with zero spice level. Adding the picante hot sauce doesn't help. If they could improve this aspect, I think this would be a winner with its great location.

It was ok. The salsa seemed to have been watered down. The beans seemed to be can beans. We had a taco and burrito. Not much flavor. Our waitress was ok. I also got Flan (forgot a picture), and that just didn't seem like spanish Flan. I would not go back.

Ordered the Chicken Enchiladas one with black beans and the other with refried beans and sour sauce. Bland food jus a tortilla stuffed with pulled chicken; no flavor! The drinks were good. The service was very slow and people were doing two and three different jobs at once; so we completely understood why it took so long to get our food. It’s not somewhere I’d ever recommend or visit again.

I got the snapper tacos. They were good but lacked flavor & spice. The salsa was really good i coulda ordered a second. it had the perfect spice i liked. The service was great, very friendly and fast. I got a mango sangria which went well with my meal. I enjoyed the patio since it was a nice night out. overall, I Great value for the meal.

Came here for a quick drink. Their Mango margaritas and Guacamole were pretty good. Salsa was a bit watery. Friendly customer service who will try to reach you Spanish as you place the order - this was fun! They had a free postcard service of your photo as well. With an option to buy other pictures taken of you. This service can be a hit or miss based on your preference. Overall, it was a decently good experience.

I have ordered their vegetarian enchiladas and lemonade and they were delightful. That was served with rice and refried beans (I have tasted better rice and beans). They also gave complimentary salsa and chips. Overall it is a good place to try if you are in that area as it you a vibe of siting in Mexico.

Visiting from Belgium. Haven’t been here since June 2019 but it was nice to be back. Family owned and they’re very accommodating and friendly. Glad to see the place was still open. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Has a great selection of tequila so of course I get margaritas. I find the food to be typical Mexican food. Tasty and authentic. I lived in Vegas for 10 years and love a good Mexican food dining experience. Will definitely come back.

Great Mexican restaurant. Caesar behind the bar has an amazing array of excellent tequila. Friendly staff, good food and mentioned the second time great tequilas. Stop by if you’re in Chicago.

This place is a must!! Food is amazing I got steak tacos and the flavor of the steak was great. My boyfriend got steak fajitas and he also loved him. The salsa had great flavor and was a little spicey. I got a strawberry and regular margarita, they were delicious and very strong which I love strong so no complaints. My boyfriend got a Mexican mule and he also loved it his was also very strong. The only reason I'm rating it four stars is because of our service. To be fair our waitress didn't understand English that well, but if we wanted some thing we had to waive her down, she also was supposed to ask us some questions as an example if we wanted refined beans or black beans, and if we wanted flour or corn tortillas and she did not. But the food and drinks itself were way worth it. Also something really cool that happened was a women went by and took pictures of us and we got to get them for an experience if we wanted!! You can get them black or white or color. The waiter did try to charge us $28 per one casamigos margarita at the end and they were $16 she said it was an accident but not sure what happened.

I really loved this place. Felt really authentic and just very nice casual vibes to stumble across. Food was tasty! Recommend the prawn fajitas, nice smoky flavour. The guac was pounded in front of you at the table which somehow made it taste so good!

I ordered a simple chicken quesadilla appetizer and 30 minutes went by with no service. Also they had no diet soda products. The food is probably delicious but the service is slow. :(

We were excited to visit this authentic Mexican restaurant here in Chicago, and we were not disappointed. This was perfect! Our waiter, Carla, was helpful and very friendly. She guided us through the menu and she was very welcoming. We ordered Carnitas, bacas and chimicurri tacos and had a blast with Mexican beer and tequila. I will highly recommend a visit to this gem of a Mexican restaurant.

What a great place to celebrate life! I was not expecting such a wonderful time in Su Casa. Food was delicious. Nadya was our photographer for that night. She was so nice to us. We were just having dinner with my family when she came up and brightened up the evening with candid pictures of us that we got to keep forever. So appreciate it! Definitely recommend this place!

Food was awesome but our waiter did good until we asked for separate checks got really upset and said some not very nice time under his breathe after he snatched the receipt. Said he had to go to manager. Did not leave a tip because he didn't deserve one. We did nothing but ask for separate checks, when you mumble you shouldn't do so that the person you talking about hears you. ( I do speak Spanish)Then after we left he ran outside and was hollering about not getting a tip!!! I am not from Chicago was there on a birthday trip, will never go here again. But feel free, the food is awesome!!! But this gentleman will never get my service again. He definitely did not deserve a tip I was gonna leave a note but decided to just post this comment online . Be careful of what you say you never know who could be listening....

It was okay. Chips were great, but the salsa was way too spicy. Pork Carnitas Tacos were nothing special. The margarita was great at least, and seems to be the main draw of this place. Go here only for the drinks.

This is by far the best Mexican food I have had for a long long time. I had nachos I asked for vegetarian so they added all kinds of fresh peppers etc...wow. my husband had the portobello fajitas they were amazing. The atmosphere was authentic Mexico. Wait staff was attentive. Very cool. We will be back!!

Nice Mexican restaurant with police staff. The salsa that came with the chips was a bit spicy for me, but my wife enjoyed it. The queso dip was very good and we shared a entree of enchiladas - one beef, one cheese, and one chicken. They were very good, although a bit small. There was a fun and colorful decor that we both enjoyed. Biggest drawback was that our table was dirty when we were sat there, and we had to ask to get it wiped down. And my wife’s water glass was cracked in two places. Overall we had a good experience here though.

Great location, they're known for their margaritas and carnitas tacos. They had a huge list of tequilas to go in the various margaritas. The waitress was friendly and the facility is clean. If you sit on the sidewalk it's busy and fun to just sit and watch people. There's salsa is phenomenal. It has a great kick to it and wonderful flavor. A definite place to return.

The table chips and salsa are very good and the only reason this place is getting a 2 star review, had a really good kick! We were in the area and very hungry, saw Su Casa and thought that Mexican sounded good. Honestly the food was bland... We had the build your platter and had some tacos and enchiladas. Everything was subpar and we had to pile on the salsa from the table chips and salsa to make anything palatable.

Great Mexican restaurant!! And the drinks are bomb!! Would definitely visit here again! Had the shrimp fajitas served with rice and again and the salsa was spicy but good

Nice waitress but the food had absolutely no taste to the tacos, beans, or the rice. I've never had corn that taste like nothing. The margaritas drinks taste like margarita mix and water. My husband had the fajitas, the plate was not hot or steaming. Just not a good experience at all. Seems like the cook didn't care about the flavors on the food at all. Very disappointing and they charged so much for tasteless food and drinks.

One of the most authentic Mexican food. We had enchiladas and fajita. It was marvelous and their salsa hits the right place on the palate. Must try place!!

You will never find friendlier service. The guacamole is made fresh on the spot, the salsa is amazing and the servers and bartenders are the best! A hidden gem within Chicago's city limits. The tortilla chips are hot and fresh. The prices were pretty good, compared to other venues in the area. We loved the pitcher of mango blush for 20 dollars. We really enjoyed the atmosphere in this establishment.
