Absolutely stunning restaurant with glass rooftop and insanely tall and spacious ceilings that let in natural sunlight all day. The breakfast buffet is $25 and goes from 6am-11am (12pm on weekends). Everything in the buffet felt like it was at a top resort in Hawaii- super fresh, inviting, and plentiful. Check out my photos, I would give 6 stars if I cold. Jose, my server was super nice and attentive.

Standard hotel breakfast buffet with custom egg bar. Large seating area, so no waiting, comfortable seating for a quick breakfast before hitting the city for sightseeing, business meeting or shopping. Wait staff was attentive, freindly and quick to serve! Pricey, but all hotel buffets are. FOLLOW ME for the best recommendations as I travel the world!

I can not recommend the American Craft restraunt located in the Hyatt Regency Chicago hotel. I ate 3 meals here (as the other hotl restraunt was closed. Meal 1(dinner): a $42 12 ounce NY strip and a $12 Berry blast cocktail. The steak was ordered as medium rare, it was delivered medium well. Char was good, but the need to use steak sauce on a $42 steak is ridiculous. Mashed potatoes were fine but boring and the broccolini was broiled but still tough and crunchy. The "Berry blast" cocktail didn't have the blueberries muddled and tasted only of the tito's vodka used. Meal 2(lunch): $25 Fish and chips - no complaints, the skin left on the northern pike was odd, but crisp so it was fine. The batter was non-traditional, but fine. Just over priced. Meal 3(dinner): $35 1/2 lb of "brisket". The "bbq sauce" tasted like ketchup with a bit of worchestershire sauce mixed in. Sad. The brisket had a decent rub, but was greasy, so much so it looked as though the meat had luster dust brushed on it. The brisket also still had a fat cap... this is a problem for 2 reasons, 1-the excess fat cap should be trimmed before cooking. 2- the remaining fat should be rendered down during smoking keeping the brisket juicy. The result: after 4 slices of brisket you just have an oily/greasy mouth feel as the bbq sauce does nothing to cut the fat. Do not waste your time and money eating here. 4 star restraunt prices, 1 star restraunt food and drinks. The chef should be severly disappointed with the meals.

Not a big menu, quick options though. Reuben sandwich was great! Ceaser salad was nothing special. Slow service but it was a vert busy time with many people at the hotel. If you are staying at hyatt rengency it's a no brainer.

Slow service and the food rests too long before it’s served. It seems to come down from another level then sits out on a large table until your server brings it over. My grass-fed burger WAS delicious but the fries were luke warm and the sauce had a skin. And the prices were higher than made sense.

Very enjoyable breakfast experience with attentive service and well prepared Denver omelettes, excellent pastries as well, before the meal!

Our experience with a server named Ronald at American Craft Kitchen was disappointing. Ronald's behavior was characterized by rudeness, rushing, and inattentiveness, and he lacked eye contact. On the other hand, the lady server provided excellent service, exhibiting politeness and a friendly demeanor. Unfortunately, this encounter left us with a negative impression. However, we remain hopeful that steps will be taken to rectify these issues in the near future.

This rude and racist bartender named Lane was ignoring me, and didn’t want to take my order . He pretended that I wasn’t there but he talked to other customers so nicely. He even picked up the pen that I was using which was also just in front of us. He saw the pen but he didn’t see us because he was ignoring us on purpose. This is the picture of the RUDE BARTENDER, this place has a bunch of one star ratings, and now I see why!!!

I ordered the Birria Beef Tacos and they were absolutely disgusting. The menu said that they came with two kinds of cheese and pico de gallo. There was neither. It did come with a “broth” which was really just oil. The brisket on the tacos was so oily it filled up the plate with a very unpleasant oily pool. As I tried to eat, I could not set the tacos back down on the plate as they would have sunk into the oily residue. I showed the meal to the manager and he agreed. Do not order the tacos. One good thing was the chicken gumbo. That was delicious. Tacos were inedible.

The bad: The calamari had a crunchy exterior, but very chewy. The lobster roll lacked flavor. The okay: The corned beef ruben was flavorful with a decent amount of meat. They didn’t have a green salad, so we had fries and chips. Choose the chips over the fries. The good: The quesabirria tacos had juicy beef even before dipping them in the consommé. The Tuscan and green kale salad was good with the house dressing. We got it with grilled chicken, which was flavorful but dry. The dressing helped here.

Decided to stay in the hotel for dinner tonight and came down to get a burger. I was expecting something decent that just got the job done, but got way more than that. Their bacon and blue burger was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Like 9.7/10 good. I thought I’d had great burgers before but nothing has stuck in my memory like this one. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly the way I asked (medium of course). The fries were cooked to perfection and Elisa's service was very pleasant. Kudos and round of applause to the chef on that burger though. I know where to go when I’m back in Chicago.

Went for complimentary breakfast today. Lacto-Vegetarian choices were limited, service was excellent. Dinner menu has many excellent lacto-vegetarian choices. We are most likely going today for these moderately priced choices.

After a day 12/8/22 of sight seeing, we were so hungry & decided to get dinner here @ our hotel. We had to go elsewhere because the waitress seemed to be avoiding us & more focused on the “drinking” tables with “the suites”. We had to flag her down to bring us menus then she didn’t return to take our orders so we went to another restaurant where we weren’t invisible! Vacationers beware! The 1 star is because I couldn’t have posted with 0. Day 2…another try for dinner but there were no “suites” this time & by golly, we weren’t trying but we got the same waitress! We’ll, she didn’t look happy but did improve in her service to us, Thank God! We enjoyed a delicious dinner. It’s too bad she hasn’t figured out serving with a smile & some enthusiasm could get her better tips. At least the food was good even if it was pricey$$$$$,

I know some of the reviews are pretty tough but I had nothing but a great experience having drinks with friends, having an incredible turkey club sandwich, and having a wonderful breakfast buffet. The food was very good and the service was superb.

Waiting over half an hour for water. Watched someone's meal sit 20 minutes on the bar before they gave it to them. My entire family was sick after eating here. Server did not bother to ask for drinks. For the prices, go elsewhere. Anywhere.

Ordered the 30$ (after tip) tacos and asked if they were street taco size beforehand they said no and then brought me folded street tacos. :( also the soup container was busted open and spilled all over the bag before they handed it to me so I asked for a new one and they just dumped the remnants of the soup into a new container. Food itself is great though

I honestly don’t see what’s the complaints are about, the pricing for the quality of the food is fair. Of course it’s higher than a restaurant because you’re paying for the convenience of the hotel.

We ordered two burgers, I had the bourbon Burger "med rare" my friend had a plain cheeseburger "Well Done". My friends burger arrived "raw" like sushi raw. The manager and head chef came out, and I didn't expect it but they took care of our entire. Talk about fantastic service and they were sincerely concerned. My burger was great and the fries are really good. Hats off to the chef! Waiter needs to pay a little more attention to his tables though and make sure he puts the order in correctly. Just saying.

I didn’t feel like leaving the hotel so I ended up here. Had a few really cold beers and got wings to go. The wings were great, saucy, and crispy - and not terribly priced. Very limited menu when I was there, did not have many options. I didn’t return after the first visit - there are so many better options. But in hotel, it was good. The bartender wasn’t the most fun guy on the planet, but did he job very well.
