Something that stood out the most to me at Sienna Tavern is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They are all very attentive to ensure that our dining experience was enjoyable. The food is on the pricier side, but that’s to be expected from a higher end establishment that imports most of their ingredients. The lobster benedict was very rich and flavorful. I had reservations on a Saturday, but it wasn’t super packed so you probably won’t have that many issues with waiting (but perhaps reserve just in case). Overall, my dining experience was great! I also saw Joe from Impractical Jokers as I was entering the restaurant!

The Google food images really sold me — full of color, nice plating, and mouthwatering options. Nice ambiance, and not too loud. I really enjoyed the wagyu meatball, and the bocatini was amazing. All of the pastas our table got were really good — gluten free rogatini, and the . The garlic bread that come with the meatball wasn’t too thick, which I love. Didn’t leave feeling too full. The food overall was definitely a 5 star moment, but a knocked a star for the service. Our server didn’t check in on us once throughout the meal. Came at the very end of us noticing us just sitting there, “oh you really polished your plates.” Uh ok. Really didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. But the food was great so I would go back. The pizzas did smell amazing.

Awesome food and great staff. We went in a little early and hung out in the bar before our reservation but it was busy ans bartender forgot our drink. However the lovely server we had at our table was amazing.

Italian American restaurant located in river north that’s connected to Bar Sienna in west loop. Came here after it was highly rated and it was decent. The menu sounded really good but I ended up being disappointed with the level of service and quality of food. For the price of each dish, the meal was not worth it. Ordered the octopus, brussel sprout salad with steak, and the lobster linguine for our meal and for dessert had the donuts. The donuts were so good and flavorful with the dipping sauces. But the meal itself wasn’t very pleasant. Service was slow and I didn’t enjoy myself. There are better Italian spots around.

Nice, yet noisy Italian restaurant. Nicely put together restaurant with some interesting takes on classic flavor combinations. Cocktails wet very well mixed. Good overall pretty good but not amazing. It was very loud on our visit but its no a romantic dinner kind of place. Solid choice for Italian.

I was in town for a quick site visit and decided to stop in for lunch. The atmosphere and vibe this place offers is amazing. Just what I needed after a red eye flight and a quick 2 hour meeting and site survey. I sat at the bar and Alex was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and made the best recommendations. I had the No. 2 specialty cocktail, the Tuscan Kale Salad with Grilled Chicken and the Almond Praline Torte and it was likely the best meal I’ve had out in a very long time. I hope we bring our show to Chicago because this is a place I will frequent. A little pricey for lunch, but so worth it. I can’t recommend this place enough. 5 BIG ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had the most amazing experience. I am from Sacramento and would say if you are visiting Chicago, dont miss this restaurant. We got the gnocchi and lasagna as well as house cocktails and a dessert, and the entrees were quite possibly the best gnocchi and best lasagna i have ever had. Top that off with a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service and this is a must go place. Delicious!!

Normally I avoid Italian food just not a big fan. However, this place is totally different. I rarely enjoy italian food. This places food is full of flavor, light, perfect portions and priced right. We enjoyed the Halibut perfectly cooked, a dish exploding with flavors inside your mouth. The Beet salad is light and enjoyable. Kids devoured the pizza. Staff are super pleasant and helpful. They made sure we are happy with our seating and food choices. The place is very welcoming spacious inside with very nice patio area where we sat.

Bigger then expected. Big bar, nice vibe inside. Simple outdoor seating. More concentrated inside but either would work. First floor access. Food was good, service was good. Would go back. Menu simple but mixture of dishes, and good dessert. Spaghetti was great.

Really nice bar restaurant. Excellent food. Typical downtown pricing, not too bad. I felt you could dress casual or dress up. The service was excellent. This visit I just had a chopped salad. I know it's just a chopped salad but wow it was probably the best salad I ever had in my life! Kind of ridiculous to get this excited about a chopped salad but it really was THAT good. I'll be going back.

Great food and fast, friendly service. We were able to walk in and get a table immediately thanks to their massive area. They have a very good selection for kids menu! And the atmosphere was great. We will be back

I definitely recommend their House-made pasta!! My husband and I loved our choices: both were very different (Spaghetti more citrus, remembers lemon pepper and Squid Ink Linguini more spicy) We commented that we would return to eat both again! The place is very beautiful, there is a cool song playing, and our food arrived fast. We didn’t order neither cocktails or desserts because we were planning to go to Eataly and eat their ice cream (check out this place too! It’s amazing!) Only one negative point: they mention gluten free pasta availability in their menu, but this is NOT the House-made pasta, it’s a normal penne that you can eat instead of their House-made pasta.. In my opinion it just worth if you are celiac, otherwise, enjoy their pasta!!

Went on a Friday night and they didn't have any more dine in seats but we were able to sit at the bar right away. Every single member of the staff was friendly. We were given an overview of the menu and everyone was attentive. The service is really top notch. I ordered the #1 cocktail and it was really good. We got the baked lasagna and the baked chicken and both were flavorful and just really great. We both ate the entire thing. We got the cookie jar as a dessert and it was so good too. Highly recommend!

The very nice place inside and outside. Our host Juan very attentive served us some lemonade drinks but the machine didn't work well the tea changed. Food on personal Italian flavor is not, but this nice food I ordered lasagna the bottom was burned. I'd recommend going to eat a burrata and have a wine. I could appreciate looking at other tables a date at night.

The food was incredible. We are from another state and came here because last minute reservations were hard to find the week before in this area. My husband and I were blown away. Great service, great food, great drinks and the deserts we both agreed were probably the best cheesecake (key lime cheesecake) and chocolate cake (chocolate gelato cake I believe) we’ve ever had. -And we travel a lot- I wish we lived in the area to go back soon. Also the tab was about $100 less than I expected in a place like this. Great view of downtown. It was definitely more romantic than we expected as well.

We celebrated a birthday and Brazil’s Valentine’s. From sitting to checkout, staff was very courteous. Riley did an amazing service. We had Wagyu Beef Meatball for antipasti, then Orecchiette and Rigatoni alla Vodka for pasta accompanied with glasses of Ken Wright Cellars pinot noir (2021) and Almond Praline Torta for dessert. The whole course tasted delicious. Looking forward to brunch time soon. As far as atmosphere, I have to note that there was a group of annoying, loud men that kept disturbing the atmosphere. Manager came to check on us to make sure we were still enjoying it. Otherwise, everything was impeccable. Thanks for the service.

Had a terrific evening at Siena! It is upscale but doesn't feel stuffy, and the food was phenomenal! We had a really nice dinner, and I was blown away by the chicken. I would highly recommend this place for a nice date night while in Chicago!

Visited this place during brunch on a weekend. The interior is amazing. We requested for lunch menu and they were kind enough to accommodate that. We tried the rigatoni alla vodka and gnocchi. Both dishes were flavorful. We didn’t order any drinks or dessert. Server was attentive, overall it was a wonderful experience. I would be back again to try other items from their menu, would recommend.

Cocktails and appetizer were great. Food was excellent. Fresh made pasta. Baked lasagna was delicious. Didn’t like the seating. I made a reservation for 2 and we were sat at a small table between two other tables where you hear everything everyone is saying. Not a fan of that setup.

This place was amazing for home made pasta! It is definelty on the expensive side. My pasta was 26 dollars but then the sausage they added was another 14-16. If they ask if you want protein say no! But the food was extremely good. I just don’t think it was 40 dollars good for a pasta dish. Great wine selection. The atmosphere was very dimmed lighting and the music was on the louder side. The restaurant does get very busy after 7:30pm

This place is incredible! The atmosphere alone is enticing! The pasta is fresh bursting with flavors! The meatball is to die for! And do not skip out on the drinks and dessert! Perfect place for a girls night out and even better for a date night! Check them out! I'll be back!

We went this past weekend to celebrate my sisters bachelorette. It was amazing! From the minute we walked in we were greeted with warm and friendly staff. I can’t remember our waiters name but he was great. Super helpful with all of the questions our party had and giving us great recommendations. As for the food it’s was so yummy I usually don’t finish my food when I go to a restaurant but the pasta I had was so good I finished it all. It just melted in mouth the vodka sauce pasta was a 10/10 Drinks were amazing as well. Definitely a memorable night for all of us.

Yummy squid ink linguine or other Italian pasta dishes can be found at Siena Tavern. The pastas are made daily from scratch and so the noodles are fresh and delicious. The interior design is clean and plenty of booths or tables to comfortably dine in. Food I had to get the squid ink linguine since it seemed like the most popular and unique dish that they served. The squid ink is used to create the black linguine noodles, but don’t give any kind of squidy taste which I thought was good. The noodle texture itself was very good and perfectly cooked. The pasta sauce was another part that I really enjoyed. It was creamy and just had a little bit of heat - not too spicy. The half lobster tail to top the dish off really made this pasta extra luxurious and delicious. Atmosphere The interior looked nice and and looked like it would be nice for groups of friends or family with the number of booths that there were. The noise level was not loud. Large windows allowed east views of the street. Pricing The prices seemed a little above average for pasta. The squid ink linguine was definitely on the pricy side but seemed justifiable given the squid ink and lobster. Service Service was not good from my experience. Our server gave us attitude when we asked for one of my friends dishes to be made to-go when the food had not come out yet since my friend had to leave early. I can understand the kitchen can get busy and take a while for food to come out but I would have hoped for a better experience when trying to get a dish to just come out in a box. Other

Came here for restaurant week and the food is really flavorful. When the appetizer came out I was a bit worried because it was quite small but remember it’s a 3 course + dessert tasting menu and when the mains came out I was definitely feeling stuffed. Thanks Riley for being our server—she paced the night very well and it was busy

Let me begin by expressing how beautiful this restaurant is; I mean holy moly! Secondly, the service was top notch; everyone was very nice & professional. We all drank a lot of water and our glasses were never empty. The food was incredible. The pizza was very flavorful and light, the pasta was as fresh as fresh gets, the sticky potatoes were amazing, and my wife loved the burrata. Then there's the desserts; OMG! The complimentary birthday bomboloni was fresh and incredibly delicious, the tiramisu was out of this world, and the flight of gelati was exactly what the food doctor ordered! Amazing experience had by all!

One of the many great Italian eateries in River North. Cocktails were on point and so was the service. We tried the Lobster Eggs Benedict and the Gnocchi, food was really good, we usually have leftovers but we actually cleaned out plates. Will come back to try more of the menu

We had a truly fantastic time at dinner Saturday Night. Jess was our server and her and the rest of the staff made this an awesome experience for the three of us. We will definitely be back! The Chicken entree was the surprise standout favorite and the spaghetti was a very tasty take on the traditional that I have never had before! Great wine list and cocktails as well. This is a must try restaurant.

Food is good, eclectic in a good way. Things I wouldn't have tried before. Our server (Kara) she was fantastic and offered good suggestions. One breakfast was small and one was large. One weird oddity. We were 7 minutes early for our reservation and they wouldn't seat us. I didn't realize we were early but the picture will let you know why I was a touch bewildered. None the less we were seated on time. Food was hot and if you want a drink like American coffee or a Cappuccino you have to ask. They have them it's just not on the menu which is also odd. None the less it was a good experience. Maybe more of a 3 than the 4 i gave but the outdoor patio pushed it up to a 4 for me. $68 for two, pre tip, no alcohol, so it's pricey.

Had a really great lunch at Siena Tavern last week. Food was mostly winner after winner. I started with the Octopus which is maybe the best dish I had on my trip. At least up there. Stunning to eat and to look at. My wife had the coccoli which were beautiful. Hard to go wrong with prosciutto. I followed that with the gnocchi which was awesome. My wife had the mushroom and truffle pizza which was also great. The one big let down were the bomboloni for dessert. Super dense and just not great. I mean, they're fine. It's fried dough, it's going to be fine, but we were not impressed. Of the sauces that came with it only the caramel was great though my wife liked the chocolate more than I did. Drinks were excellent. My #4 was a winner and my wife loved her espresso martini. Decor was great. Service a bit weird. Very friendly and helpful but not overly present including when drinks got low. Also started out by asking about our familiarity with Top Chef and if we knew who Fabio was. When we said we did we got a bit of a spiel about his time on the show and how great he is. Which was weird, especially when we'd just said we knew. We watch the show. Knowing him is part of why we were there, and it was near our hotel and made a convenient lunch. I don't mind it being acknowledged, but the little spiel felt awkward. Not a huge deal. It didn't go on that long or anything, but an awkward start to the visit.

Outstanding service and very good food! My wife loves pasta so we went for Valentines Day. They had a spectacular 6 course tasting menu. We got to sample a variety of items. Every one of them were excellent! I would encourage them to offer the same menu regularly. The drinks were expensive but very good! Everything was great but the octopus was the best of the best! Also loved the Gelato cake for dessert! Again fantastic service and great food!

The restaurant was filled with diners on a Wednesday night. We had reservations which i would recommend. There is outdoor dining as well. From the welcome at the entrance, the waitstaff, and the service staff you could expect a great customer experience. Three people pointed out the direction of the restrooms. Our menu choices were the squid ink linguine , halibut, gnocchi, and rotenni with vodka sauce (our 4 choices)all of which were well prepared and delicious. There is a 4 in 1 meal which is is four chef choices in smaller portions as an entree. There is an extensive wine menu. Parking g garage across the street $18. There is street parking but with the construction in the street options are limited.

Delicious food, great service, lively atmosphere. Joel was our waiter and he was fabulous. He gave great recommendations for appetizer-, woodfired pizza and called the sommelier over to give us a recommendation on wine. The Coccoli was light and savored. We did half mushroom and half burnt pepperoni on the pizza. Both were so yummy! The wine was perfect. Joel was charismatic and a very attentive server. He patiently took about 100 pictures of me and my college roommate. We had not seen each other in over 15 years. Overall an terrific dining experience!p

Wow. Just go. The food is so good. It was a little loud late in the evening so we sat outside on the patio and loved it. We ordered the coccoli appetizer to start and it was incredible. They were these little fried pastry/dough bites that you eat with the cheese and the prosciutto. Just awesome. Then we split the spaghetti that had crab meat in it. Loved that too. Our server was excellent. We would highly recommend this place!

First time here and my girlfriend (who’s birthday we were celebrating) and I loved it. Joe did a phenomenal job all night recommending great food and drink, we walked out feeling great which when there’s so much food and drink in question, feeling bloated certainly is a vibe but because of the high quality of food and preparation, we couldn’t have been more satisfied. Highly recommend and if you’re lucky, Joe will be your server as well 👍🏼 Even did a little donut with a sparkler as a birthday gift with a side of jelly sauce which was super cool!

Had a wonderful time at Siena Tavern. Taylor our waitress was wonderful, insightful and very helpful. She asked about allergies which was a plus. Also her recommendations were spot on. The atmosphere was awesome and the food delicious, serving sizes enough for 2 or 3 to share. We are big fans of Top Chef and Fabio was one of our favorite chefs, that is why I chose this place, but after visiting the restaurant Taylor made it more appealing, and well worth our visit.

Honest review, came with my family, table for 10 on Mother’s day. My family had a great time. The hospitality and experience was 10/10. I made a specialty pasta 🔥smokey old fashioned was great. I didn’t try the pizza but the kids didn’t like it lol. My sister had a hair baked into her lasagna. Fortunately she didn’t eat too much, another was brought out, the waitress and manager handled it professionally and were accommodating. Our waitress made the experience pleasant. Con: Parking on a busy day there is no valet. Otherwise would recommend.
