We came to celebrate Easter at Cite and partook in the Easter Brunch experience that was prepaid for via Open Table. It was $125/person for the brunch. The views from the restaurant were immaculate and the wait staff was very nice. The experience however was not the best. The communication between the wait staff and their knowledge or the prepaid meal was lacking. We asked one of our waiters if we were all set to go since we did not drink any alcoholic beverages and he checked and said we were. As we were walking out we got stopped by another waiter presenting us another receipt of $425+. I informed him that we had prepaid on Open Table and it included everything and he had no clue what I was talking about and had to call his manager. We were awkwardly waiting by the exit as he did this and the manager came up and said that drinks were not included in the brunch. So we ended up paying an additional $50 for 5 Coca-Colas and two waters on top of our $375 meal (three people). I am not only upset with the fact they charged us for tiny sodas but at the fact they made us feel so uncomfortable after we had been told that we were set to go. The decor in the restaurant is very tacky and out of date so the limited inside pictures are deceiving. The poles were wrapped in fabric and the chair covers were also old looking.

Other than the price, Cite was a fantastic experience! I made a reservation (which you can add special add-ons) and when we got there, they had exceeded our expectations! My husband and I were celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary. They had our table by a window with roses, candle, and chocolate covered strawberries (which was an added price). During the time of the reservation I asked if we can sit by the window to watch the Navy Pier fireworks and they did! We had the best view! Service was excellent! Food was exceptional! It is pricey but definitely worth it for a special occasion. It is formal as well.

Went to dinner at Cite to celebrate a family event and overlook scenic views of Chicago. This place is definitely overhyped. While what we experienced was okay, you can definitely find better views (and cheaper prices) at many other places in Chicago. Positives: - Stellar waiter. Very attentive, had amazing personality, and very accommodating. - Food was okay. Not for those prices though. Negatives: - The views (the main selling feature of the restaurant) were interrupted by the hundreds of spiders scaling up the windows. Good luck trying to get a picture without a spider in it, it is truly impossible. Felt like I was in a staring contest with spiders anytime I looked away from my plate. Maybe they should use half of the $90 lobster, the mandatory 20% gratuity, or the mandatory $20/person entry ticket to clean the windows. - You are required to purchase either an entry ticket per person ($20), rose and strawberry arrangements ($55) or other tickets in order to secure your reservation. No way around it. - Good luck with your drinks. Tasted like they dumped an entire handle of Tito's in each drink. - Very dated. Air conditioning unit in the middle of the room, dirty silverware and tablecloths; maybe it was the hype in 2010 but definitely needs some updating and deep cleaning. Good one time experience, but I won't be back again.

If you’re considering coming here do not waste your time. 3 of the 5 people I took here refused to eat their meal and they still charged me $675!!! This was the lowest quality “High end” place I’ve ever been to in my life.I took my wife and three of our friends to dinner here for her birthday. Upon arriving every one was nice and attentive. My wife and I got the Tomahawk steak and another person ordered the NY Strip…. They brought it out we sent both steaks back and once we got them again we refused to eat them. The NY Strip was worse quality than a Texas Roadhouse $10 steak. The Tomahawk was a complete lie. That was another cut of steak. It was as thin as strip steak and way lower quality. We asked for a manager and the waiter said they did not have one on site but he called her earlier to take $50 off for the steak. (Virtually lied to my face about calling her but refused to call her back). We called the number 20 times no one answers. They refused to do anything to our bill after 3 of the 5 people there refused to eat our meals. This place is a scam and would not recommend anyone to go here. Also they took the steak after I specifically asked for it to feed to my dogs so we couldn’t take photos. But we already had them.

Food- 1 star Service - 4 stars Ambiance- 4 star Views- 5 star Desert- 5 star Food is average, not worth the extremely high prices, I had better stake for half the price!! The views are amazing! We went an hour before sunset and we loved it! Got to see the sunset and enjoyed city views day and night. Awesome experience! Delicious desert ! Overall this place is good for - View’s and Dessert, go there after you’ve ate dinner already and enjoy the views with some good desert!

This place was not my favorite. Unaware of the dress code, the hostess told us she would still accommodate us. I feel like they were judgy. There is a women who takes your photo, you can still take your own; I wanted to get the photo which was 12$ but you have to have cash app, Venmo to pay. She was at our table longer than I would have liked, to download apps..so interrupted dinner. The steak was good, the salmon was unsatisfying, 3/4 of it was thrown away. The fries were better than the salmon. I wasn’t fond of their 20% auto grat, as I’m a server and aware of tipping..more than 20%. Although it took a long time for our bottle of wine..I got the feeling they don’t want to make things exceptional because they get tipped regardless. I still left an extra 10$ would have left way more. We dined at Morton’s on Friday and Chop House on Saturday, if you want better service and quality of food head to either of those places. I have given this four instead of three stars for the simple fact of the view. We had done the sky deck on Friday night and that was sufficient enough for me. Save yourself 315 bucks

This place was amazing, this is a place you'd want to go for a special occasion. The view is amazing, I'd even say breathtaking. The customer service was extremely nice and funny :). The food was overall delicious and high quality as you pay for what you eat. The price is hefty but you won't regret it for those moments where you want to celebrate somewhere fancy :).

Lets be real, you only come here for the view! And yes, its amazing. The rest? Not so much. Food is below average, extremely expensive considering the quality of it. Salmon was bland, quinoa tasted like it was store bought. The only tasty thing was the sauce and it wasn't enough of it. You do get a couple of slices of bread with a side of butter on the house. The staff was super nice. Evelyn was very attentive. Yes, there are spiders on the outside of the windows.

⚠️ Stay away alert ⚠️ Please dnt go to this place… to save money . Super over priced for not even good food… If you still want to go there and have food please dnt take any extra packages… it is not worth it. Dnt know if it was ever good but our experience was not at all good…. We will never go there… nor Recommend to anyone… Lot of other options around this place… Please find an alternative for this place… Only good thing happened here was Photographer: Irene… she was kind and got us couple of beautiful pictures ( they are separate charge but worth taking those pictures) No vegetarian options Falsely advertised as Revolving restaurant and there is nothing like that… Most of all on a mid summer day… AC was not working…. Fruit flies were everywhere…

For what it cost to eat there should of got way better service. Had to keep asking for drinks . Never got my bread even tho I asked for that too. Server hardly came to check on us . They dont care at this restaurant because they ad the tip off the back . My server added a $44 dollar tip . Did he deserve that much ? Hellllllllll Noooooo 😡🤬 then my food . No flavor . $65 for a rib eye that had no flavor ? Will I ne back ? Never in my life . Only nice thing was the view. Go here at your own risk . I can point you to other places that the food will knock this place out of the park . And you will still have $200 in your pocket. Sorry cite but need to step it up

This is a great place for a date! The view was beautiful. We ordered the New York strip and the duck. Both were nice flavors and didn’t wait too long for it to come. The waitress made sure everything was good and we were happy. There was an entrance fee for the view that was $55 plus whatever dinner was. This was about a $300 dollar date including the fee, 2 drinks, 2 entrees and 1 appetizer.

The view is fantastic. I loved the lobster bisque, the salad was good I had snails. All of that was tasty. The margaritas were tasty. I had a ribeye steak and I was not a fan. The steak needed to be a little bit more flavorful in my opinion. It was a great experience overall but I wouldn’t go back there again for the steak.

0/10 would not recommend. Food was not good at all. The chef needs to be let go. When I arrived table wasn’t ready so I sat at the bar where no one greeted me. When the table was ready me and my date sat down and it was so drafty. Like the air was blowing right over our heads which made it really uncomfortable. My nose started to run. So we waited for about 15 minutes before our server Demetrio greeted us. Seem as if he was busy, so good service for us went out the window. He took the order incorrectly missed an item I said I wanted but I didn’t bother to remind him because when we got our food everything was so BLAND. Like who was cooking the food??? Blew my mind at the service I was receiving for a $300 ticket. I ordered the salmon which taste exactly like fish and not even the best fish. I sent it back they removed it from the bill and I got the Ny strip. Another mistake because the steak was tough and not well done like I asked. My date got chicken which he finished because I guess you can’t mess up chicken but it was still bland. Everything was bland like they didn’t even bother with seasoning the food. Terrible! The wine portion I got was small. Cite was just a joke all and all. The view isn’t even worth it. Enjoy pictures from google because paying a $30 entry fee is a waste of money. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. DO NOT GO HERE! I overheard 4 couples complain to the manager about their food as well. She was extremely apologetic, but indifferent. New Management and a new chef is needed!

Great view. That was the only great part of our dinner. The Air Conditioning was not working, so it was hotter that hades. They had a small, mobile A/C unit that helped a bit; but they took it away before our food came. The Escargot was fine, the the drinks were fine, the bisque and the wine were fine. The risotto was average, the duck was average, and the Delmonico was at best average. We went elsewhere for dessert (we were melting in our seats by this point)

Best view in Chicago. Ive been frequenting this place for years. Ive tried other restaurants, but this place just checks all the boxes. The food is amazing and they always come through when I ask for items not listed on the menu. Once I asked for cherries jubilee flambé. A few nights ago I asked for filet Oscar. Love the romance packages available, the photographer, piano, and great service. It is also the only high rise east of Lakeshore Drive with great views for fireworks. I love watching storms on the lake as well.

2 scallops in the $28 scallops appetizer I find a bit too much and far from Michelin quality. We were visiting Chicago for the weekend attributed to my birthday celebration and I wanted to see the view which they charge extra and I paid $80 for the whole family (2 adults and 2 adolescents) but rain and fog gave zero visibility for the whole 2 hours during our stay. It was easy to book and move by one hour, hostes were welcoming and Dmitry was attentive and pleasant while tending to the party. For a family of 4 we paid $750 on average food and I was hoping that $80 that was charged at the time of booking through Open Table would be waived as you could not see a thing outside. I called 3 times and ended up speaking with the general manager who explained that there are no exceptions to the policy and no credit will be made. I think this is the wrong way to treat guests of the city and people who stayed and spent significant amount of money though we could have cancelled and go to a different venue.

Very intimate setting, great service, amazing view of the Chicago skyline and delicious food and drinks here. Enjoying a lovely dinner here on top of the 70th floor comes with a top price, but it’s worth it
