I was highly disappointed. Our server Ignacio, was not at all bothered with customer service. He opened with "yeah there's not any specials worth mentioning as a matter fact there aren't any today" way to convince us that this is going to be a great dining experience. Not a lot of options to choose from so I selected the pub burger med well. I could feel the pulse of the cow because the burger was that rare. The Riesling was very good. Not impressed.

Great restaurant for hotel guest and open to public! The service is great. The servers are super kind and patient. They will work with you. Of course the prices are on the higher end because this is fine dining. It’s so worth it!

The food was good, but my group was not informed that they would not split the bill more than divided in half. A heads up when we ordered would have been nice. The manager wasno help.

Eaters beware of how they do their billing of eating here. We just ate here and the lunch menu is limited. Firat issue is they don't advise you that all your meals will be on one check. The waitress then stated they couldn't separate the checks despite our party needing separate checks. Waitress advised it could only be separated in to 2 bills and that it would take 40 minutes to separate the bills. We asked for the manager who then said they could only separate the bill into 3 separate bills. They were just going to put whatever together on the bills. We explained we knew who was going on each of the 3 bills then they said they can't itemized the bills. There is a lack of understanding with the staff. We won't eat here again during our stay. Burger was good and don't do the wings they were not seasoned. The soup and grill cheese was good the others stated. Beware of this joint but you are kind of stuck when staying here at the hotel with food choices.

Maybe better for dinner. The menu is very limited during lunch and I walked a good distance after seeing pictures of the food. I was excited about a few of the entrees, but the entrees are only available after 5pm. Three of us picked the Wagyu burgers and asked for them to be cooked medium. All burgers were very charred and cooked past well done.

Limited menu. Ate late at night so perhaps the food is better during the day but we had a horrible meal. Burgers had a cheese like spread, not actual cheese. The Turkey dish (which looked like chicken) was dry, hard, and over cooked. Rice was cold and under cooked. Our meals were not worthy of a picture, nor consumption. Better off going to Fat Pour across the street.

Disappointed in this restaurant. Drinks were not correctly made (bev manager, please test your bartender on expresso martini) food was mediocre and checkout processes was very outdated. To split a bill and pay, was like 1995. Took over 20 minutes. Please modernize your payment processing. Server was rude/attitude as she didnt like splitting a bill. She said we should have let her know at the beginning. I would have rather ordered off a self order kiosk as it would have asked us in the start of the transaction/service of how we would like our bills handled. How do you blame it on the guest AND tell them you were wrong. Only reason I left a two star is because the sweet lady filling out our water was on it. JW would be ashamed otherwise.

Limited menu but delicious. Highly recommend the Roasted Cauliflower Steak Romesco (the red sauce was so flavorful!) and the Toasted Pecan Cheesecake (rich and bright). Pricy, but comparable to many other hotels and restaurants in the area. Attentive service late in the evening. Big space, although it can get crowded for group events and get noisy in the big open space. This venue attracts a lot of business travelers and events.

Ate here for breakfast, we did the buffet and had more than enough things to choose from. Omelet station, bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, toast bagels, assorted meats and cheese. Wonderful staff, will be back next year for our comic con trip.

Friday night during a convention (August 2022) and we were seated right away, and that should have been an an indication. Dinner prices were high for wrong orders that took too long, small portions, and under seasoned. To the staff’s credit they tried to make it right but it still turned me off against all future visits.

As far as hotel restaurants go it isn't bad. I was here for breakfast on Sunday morning. I was almost the only person in there. Service was fast, as one would expect when not busy. Omelet was good, potatoes a little under done. Coffee is above average for hotel coffee.

It is extremely busy which is great, they are extremely short staffed which is understandable. However, at this point I think they need to do something as we sat at our table with our drinks and food for over a hour waiting for someone to come and either allow us to reorder or give us a check. I had to chase the server down and hand them my card and then I was shocked to see an added 18% service fee already added to our small party of 4's check! Watch your receipt.

We were staying at the Marriott Marquis in Chicago for the SHRM 2018 conference. We arrived late Friday and wanted an easy meal, so we went for the on-location restaurant. I normally don't have high expectations for hotel restaurants, and for the most part, these expectations were accurate. We ate here for both dinner and breakfast, and I'd definitely recommend dinner between those two experiences. You can find great breakfasts for cheaper, elsewhere. It started off with drinks and appetizers. The waitress proudly stated that this was a full bar and that "whatever [we'd] want, [they'd] have it" for us. I asked for a white Russian and my husband asked for tequila, straight up. They didn't have cream, or any of the brands he requested for tequila, lol. Not a big deal to us, but we just found it funny. I ended up getting their Copacobana cocktail and my husband some other tequila. The cocktail was pretty, but I just wasn't a fan. It was strangely bitter. For our appetizer, we chose the Artisan Rolls with bacon butter & honey butter (not pictured). These were underwhelming and not worth the price. The butter was pretty much frozen solid and hard to spread. The bread was twisted in an artistic fashion, but that was about it. The meals were actually pleasantly surprising. My husband ordered the Braised Pork Shank (pancetta, stewed white beans, grilled chicory, pepita gremolata). He found it to be pretty good, and a good serving size. He was pretty full by the end of it. However, we both really enjoyed my dish - Braised Rabbit Pappardelle Pasta (koval bourbon cream, mushrooms, parmigiano reggianno). This was just wonderful! It is a heavy dish with the cream sauce, but the rabbit was lovely, soft, and succulent, and it really hit the spot. I definitely recommend ordering this dish if you're okay with the idea of eating rabbit. ~~~ Breakfast. We later returned to try their breakfast. Their costs were ridiculously high. They had a buffet option, but we took a peek in the room and unless you really went to town, you were not going to eat your money's worth. We ended up going with the actual menu items, as they were cheaper than the buffet. I ordered classic pancakes. My husband ordered the Wisconsin Cheddar Broken Yolk Sandwich (noble star ranch bacon, avocado, tomato, aioli, sourdough, side of fruit). Both were good, but these two dishes + 2 regular coffees costs us $47.95. That much for breakfast is just absurd. In all honesty, I'd say this is an okay experience (3 stars), with an exception of the rabbit parpadelle (a solid 4 by itself). It's not memorable, and you're in Chicago! Be adventurous and take an uber/lyft to downtown - there are so many other amazing restaurants. It's a shame we wasted two meals here for convenience.

I can say I never made it there but I get an A++ for effort. I work for a large company and tried extremely hard to get a reservation in June for 20 people. The catering dept will not return calls or email even when hounded. When I finally did reach the catering person she was nice but will not follow through. I have been trying now for a month and honestly I moved on to another restaurant who took my reservation right on the phone. If woven & bound doesn't need the $$$ we would have spent then we really don't need to be there. Chicago has plenty of other options. Terrible customer service

Complete unsatisfied, long wait, expensive, and yet bad food and service. This was the worst burger I've ever had for how expensive it was, but at least the fries were amazing. I'd rather just starve than try that again.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days last week, we loved everything!! The eucalyptus body wash and lotion were top notch! Aromatherapy at its finest! We had breakfast & a late afternoon grazing fest at Woven & Bound, both experiences phenomenal. One of their bartenders made a mojito so good that it reminded us of our honeymoon, nothing compared to that drink until then. It was amazing! The charcuterie board and the chips & guca were exactly what the doctor ordered for afternoon grazing! The lemon blueberry pancakes were so good! I loved that they came with a tiny little syrup jar, they were so cute!

Better off going anywhere else in Chicago. Experience started with apathetic hosts. Then it took 5 minutes just to get our water filled, then another 2 minutes before our server came and quietly said "hi." We gave our order and she walked away. She didn't say a word when she dropped off my husband's beer. Salt and pepper shakers were sticky. And there were things on the floor, like a French fry and skewer were nowhere was obviously sat in quite a while. Menu is limited. We started with chips and guac, no plates were given, and the empty bowl wasn't taken away when our entrees were dropped off. Still wasn't removed when the server did a robotic check on us. The wings were good and beet/buratta salad was fresh and interesting. Server came and dropped off our check without a word - very unusual. Wouldn't have been so bad if the service was better. Felt unwelcome the entire time on a very slow Saturday evening.

Avoid this restaurant. The menu is mediocre and uninspired and very, very expensive, especially when considering the execution. The restaurant seems very understaffed. The interior design is dreadfully bland, and the lighting makes everyone look half dead. Because of the orientation of the bar, kitchen and various areas of the dining room, some tables seem to be floating in the middle of space, as if in the middle of a vast airport concourse.

We had a large group of three generations of family and all left satisfied. Our server was very attentive and patient as we had small children. They featured crayons and a kids menu which had pancakes and a burger depending on whichever mood they were in. I had the breakfast sandwich. It was delicious and the potatoes were too. It ain't cheap but you wouldn't expect to be at this hotel. Recommend.

Such a beautiful location so I anticipated a higher quality of the food and service. Might be good for lunch or dinner? Oatmeal was fine, but was simple Quaker oats heated in a microwave. The waitress greeted me after a few minutes, which was great. Someone else brought the coffee and cream right out. The waitress didn't appear again for over 20 min, and I had just picked up the phone for a work call. I asked if she could come back in just a couple of minutes. She didn't acknowledge just walked away. For the next 45 min I worked on my computer (I wasn't in a hurry), she walked by several times and never stopped. I finally found another server and ordered my food. Would not return if staying at hotel. I would recommend the takeaway cafe over this experience.

Below mediocre food, extreme prices for what you get (they brought cold meat for their $55 "steak") on top of that, rude waiting staff. They brought the check before we even finished our meal and didn't ever ask how it was, nothing about whether we want coffee or desert. When I asked why she brought the check even though we haven't asked for it, she takes it without saying a word and walks away with an attitude. Why are you in service industry? Similar stories about the greeters etc. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

It almost seems to be an afterthought. The restaurant is kind of in a weird location. The spacing is not laid out well in the main floor. The staff are very friendly. The food was excellent. Full bar and decent beer menu. You can almost consider this a hidden gem in a large Marriott hotel property. Good coffee and carry out items if you are on the run. Worth a stop by.

We had a party of 7, waitess brought our check as one. When we told her how we were paying, she said we had no choice; they were not able to do separate cks. If this was the case, we should have been told up front. Per Mgr, they could only break it into three parts. What a hot mess people! Never again!

Stayed at the hotel and ate here every morning. The staff were always kind and prompt. They really made our weekend that much more memorable.

Restaurant in the Marquis hotel was great. Ordered from here several times during my stay. Loved the bacon wrapped dates and the avocado fries. Sit at the bar for good bar service and views of the TV.

A great bar meal. I actually ate here twice during a trade show at McCormick because it was so convenient. Food was good, nothing too special and they have good cocktail options. Would definitely recommend as a meeting spot as you can easily make reservations.

Food was pretty good considering it was in a hotel, good drinks, excellent service. Had the burger and some drinks. The fries could use some work, they were pretty boring.
