Beautiful landscaping that is always well maintained! Family friendly, clean, and safe place to walk, jog, rollerblade, or bike on an elevated path with scenic views throughout. There are benches, art installations, water fountains, easy to navigate signage, & plenty of entry/ exits. A definite cure to my seasonal depression. Get out there and see for yourself!

Clean trail. Nice views from different streets. One thing I didn't like there were with high speed bikers. During the trail you had people having music on blast which was nice to listen through out the walk. We only did half way the trail since it was packed. Overall I would recommend! 🍃

I heard not too many start in the west end, but we had a great time doing some outdoor walking education with our group of optometrists. Good color coding and space for biking vs running/walking. Offshoots and benches along with Day Glow 0.5 mile in for coffee and pastries. Highly recommend!

Eighteen years in the making, this 2.7 mile meander through Chicago's West Side is neither an urban oasis nor "Devil's Playground" - Sorry John! It IS a great way to get across the West Side without worrying about your fellow Chicagoans running you down in their gas-guzzling, death machines! It's also a wonderful opportunity to people watch especially if your interested in the diversity that makes Chicago what it is.

Definitely one of the least travel to gems in Chicago that need to be discovered by more people. try coming on Sundays when parking is free there are many entrances along the 606. The Trail winds through many neighborhoods and shows off a lot of the architecture of Chicago.

Fantastic walking/running trail! As is right now, 2.7 miles in one direction. Gorgeous fall colors along the trail and not too busy

Heard of this walking trail and absolutely had to check it out. It’s supper dope, I love how it’s elevated and goes through different neighborhoods in the city. The views are amazing, wether it’s graffiti, sculptures, landscape, or architecture. Definitely recommend if you’re an outdoors person.

If you have never experienced walking, jogging, running, baby stroller pushing, rollerblading, biking on the 606 Trail you are missing out on a true hidden gem of Chicago. It's completely transformed the surrounding neighborhoods surrounding the trail to be the best investment on building or starting a new home. If you go once I promise you, you'll be going again and again in your future.

Came from the Welsh park entrance - lovely train and on Sundays there's thus coffee bar nearby? Super well maintained. Can get busier during peak sun hours.

Beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. Landscaping is gorgeous and changes throughout the greenway. Bike racks, bench’s and picnic tables throughout the trail. Parks located adjacent with accessible access. A true gem. Great job City Planners and designers!

When it's crowded on hot days, it isn't as fun . But when it is emptier it is amazing. Everything is beautiful and always clean. It is a good place to walk, run or ride your bike. Put on some good music and clear your mind on this amazing trail. There are beautiful plants and flowers everywhere. It is such a wonderful scenery. Many stores like family dollar and Aldi are so close to the trail. Everything is easily accessible. This is a good trail for anyone who doesn't own a car and wants to take an easier walk to nearby shops without all the car traffic and jam. We know how busy Damen street can be and this trail is like a heaven's walk toward Damen if you plan to hang out around there. Everything about this trail is well maintained and very clean! There are plenty of chairs to sit on as well. Plenty of water fountains as well.

A much more enjoyable way to navigate Chicago! While shade is sparse, hydration stations are all over the trial. Lots of on/off ramps. Bikes, rollerblades, and skateboards are allowed. Electric scooters are not.

Very worth the short trip by car from downtown. We parked at the YMCA, and did a round trip. Best trail we've ever been on. I wish it was 100 miles longer. You don't want to get off. It's a lush oasis in the heart of the city. The homes along the trail are really cool as well. We went on a Thursday, and it wasn't very crowded. I am sure the weekends are busy, why wouldn't they be. If I lived here, I'd be there every weekend.

The plant materials have matured and created a lovely border to this urban elevated walking/biking trail. Perfect on an overcast day because when the sun shines, there's no shade up here.

Nice place to take your dogs out for a stroll, or even friends and significant others. It is a really nice place to take the person to go to for walks and chats, for them to listen to your business as well as listening to theirs. Trail opens early morning and closes at 11pm. Entry/exits on most main streets like Damen, Kedzie, etc.

The elevated position of this trail makes it unique and is a great way to explore the Logan Square and Wicker Park neighborhoods.

Favorite place to walk and relax close to home since it’s opening day. Definitely a hidden gem and hopefully it stays that way. Weekends get way too crowded, especially on nice sunny days, but for the most part, people are respectful of each other’s space. Only 2.7 miles from end to end. Great place to get your steps in and avoid waiting for stoplights and cars. It’s slightly quieter since you’re above the noisy streets and pass in-between residential buildings. If you’ve never been, you gotta try it at least once.

The 606 Trail is a great place to relax, exercise, run bikes, skate, walk your dogs if you have any, or simply take a nice walk through several Northside neighborhoods!

This is such a treasure in the heart of a big city! It is easy to access from many neighborhoods as there are many on and off points along the way. It is beautifully landscaped with shade and seating in some areas. It is a pleasant place to visit, get exercise and be away from traffic. You will find people walking with friends and family, or alone, plus people on bikes, roller skating, running and relaxing mid-walk.

This trail should run all over the city and connect every neighborhood. As it is though, it’s a nice walk, with plenty of exits to get to various points of interest and businesses. Sometimes get a little crowded for bikes, but if you keep it at a leisurely pace, it all works out. A great benefit of living in or visiting Chicago.

An easy 3 mile walk with great views of different areas of the city and many exits to take to explore those areas of the city. There are public bathrooms and water fountains to fill your water bottles and sitting areas to enjoy the views. Family and pet friendly just be careful with the cyclists that speed by.

This is a lovely stretch of above-grade railroad transformed into a walking and biking path. The entire way has been beautifully designed with features and landscaping. It is a very nice place to take a ride over streets and out of traffic. The only downside - wish it were longer.

Personally love the 606 it's a very pretty trail that I ride frequently. And it's not very long so it's good if you just want to get a quick walk, run, or bike ride in.
