While Chicago has many other skyscrapers which are taller, shiner, bigger, more modern.....etc, the Tribune tower is a Chicago icon considering its age and style. It was built 100 years ago (1923-25) in an amazing neo Gothic style. It has a fab location on the plaza just after the Dusable bridge, adding to its beauty. Pay attention to unique world landmark stones embedded into its facade, each one is marked. Enter the lobby and admire it - further you cannot go. Imo, it is the most elegant and stylish office bldg worldwide, along with the Chrysler bldg in NYC.

The most beautiful corner in the city of Chicago! What a treat to just stand here on a bright day, spin around and look at the buildings and river -- absolutely gorgeous! Tribute Tower brings a lot of history to Chicago. It's fun to look at all the pieces of historical landmarks built into the facade -- truly bringing the World to Chicagoans.

This is a beautiful, neo-gothic skyscraper that is an icon of Chicago’s skyline. This skyscraper is mesmerizing to look at due to its detailed architecture, color, and shape. This tower apparently has a beautiful lobby that you can go inside of, but I did it. This monument of architectural beauty has a nice public plaza in front of it with views of the Chicago River and the skyscrapers around it. I gave this skyscraper five stars because it is a stunning example of the beautiful architecture that Chicago has to offer.

The building has been converted to condos so you can’t visit the inside unless you are with a resident. Luckily we were so hot to see a lot of cool common spaces inside

Beautiful skyscraper. I walked around taking photos of a bunch of the rocks. I tried to go in but got kicked out because most of it is for private residents.

This is one of the most beautiful views of our stay. you can see real estate complexes of this city, which however does not lack it. At the start of the Millennium Mile, we walked across the Chicago River Bridge. The buildings around Michigan Avenue are the Chicago Tribune with its neo-Gothic tower just opposite the two buildings that make up the Wrigley Building. The view is beautiful!

Amazing at architectural and just to place to look at and had a sip of coffee nearby . Highly recommended.

Chicago Tribune Tower is such a fun and cool place to check out if you happen to be in Michigan Ave. Rocks from around the world are embedded in the tower and some notable examples are from the Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, Colosseum and World Trade Center. There are around 150 rocks from all over the world that you can see in the facade and touch and take pictures with. You can also see if you can find all of the rocks around the building.

My friend and I scoped this out before taking our grandkids. The ice cream museum was a bit pricey and mostly visual and not a whole lot to do. I was expecting more of the history of ice cream but turns out this is more of a pink plastic playground of mostly decorated rooms with a few ice cream samples. The drinks and treats at the ice cream bar were extremely expensive as are the souvenirs they sell as you leave through the gift shop. While it was visually cute, it's too expensive for what you get.

Part of the reason i was excited to go to chicago was that i had researched many old greco roman style buildings were not roman at all but from a tartarian empire that spanned whole earth. This was one of them! Turns out there were buildings like these already here before we discovered america and even the indians didnt know who made them. Crazy but look at it carefully tho...

Tribune Tower is an emblematic and historic building located in the beginning of Magnificent Mile of Chicago. The building is of neo-Gothic style and was the home of the Chicago Tribune, Tribune Media, and Tribune Publishing, also of WGN Radio (720 kHz) and CNN's Chicago bureau. Its lobby is amazing and have an espectacular ornamentation.

One of the most iconic buildings in Chicago has been thoughtfully transformed by experienced developer, Golub & Company, into 162 luxury residences along the Chicago River and Michigan Avenue. Beautifully appointed, classic interiors in the over 50 unique floor plans offered. This full service building also includes over 55,000 SF of amenities including the dramatic 25th floor Crown Terrace and seventh floor indoor pool and sundeck that make the Tribune Tower Residences a must see for anyone looking for a new, sophisticated property with an iconic city address.

Maybe the most architectally significant building in the Chicago. Visually stunning and rich in history. They could never build a structure like this again. It would cost a fortune. Definitely from a period when America could build or do anything.

Tribune Tower is a 145-meter (476 ft) tall skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. It was completed in 1925 and was the tallest building in the city for 20 years. The tower is named for the Chicago Tribune, which was founded in 1847 and is one of the largest newspapers in the United States. Tribune Tower is a National Historic Landmark and is considered to be one of the most important buildings in American architecture. The tower was designed by John Mead Howells and Raymond Hood, two of the leading architects of the 20th century. The tower's design was inspired by the Gothic architecture of European cathedrals. The tower is home to the Chicago Tribune newsroom, as well as a number of other businesses and organizations. The tower is also a popular tourist destination and offers tours of the building and its exhibits. Here are some of the things that I liked about Tribune Tower: The tower's historic significance. The tower's beautiful Gothic architecture. The tower's convenient location in the heart of downtown Chicago. The tower's many exhibits, which tell the story of the Chicago Tribune and its role in American history. I would highly recommend visiting Tribune Tower to anyone interested in American history, architecture, or journalism. Here are some additional details about Tribune Tower: The tower is located at 435 North Michigan Avenue in the Loop neighborhood of Chicago. The tower is open to the public for tours from 9am to 5pm daily. The tower's exhibits include a newsroom, a printing press, and a gallery of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs. The tower's observation deck offers stunning views of Chicago. I hope this helps!

The iconic Tribune Tower is the most elegant and luxurious residential condominium today and is located along the Magnificent Mile Downtown Chicago. The redevelopment of the landmark Chicago Tribune edifice pay much attention in preserving the original historical architectural design. This is a showcase of timeless architectural art. Magnificent place to enjoy when in Chicago.

historical bricks and blocks were placed sporadically on the outside of the building. Walk around and check it out. Definitely lineman international treasure map of locations and events. Gothic style building. There are a few other businesses that have opened on the outside near the back .. within the courtyard. Easy to find. Happy trails.

Just wanted to say a thank you to Jon whom we met at the front desk and was a wealth of knowledge! He was so welcoming and indulged our curiosity about the history of the tower. I just moved to Chicago and meeting him spontaneously upon walking into the lobby gave way to a fabulous conversation (and first impression of the city!) I couldn't think of a better ambassador. Thank you Jon! You were generous with your time and we appreciate you. All the best, ~ Claire & Kevin

(Translated by Google) What a crazy architecture. The tower looks like someone would have wanted his medieval fairytale castle here, just to find that everyone else is looking for skyscrapers. The multitude of gothic building elements seems somehow out of place in an American city. However, the building can also be considered as a study of the development of architecture. I also found the variety of stones in the façade of famous buildings interesting.

Unfortunately i was asked not to post pictures of the sight for particular reasons during renovation, and i respect that. When it's all said and done i will post the NEWLY constructed tower. Stay tuned my friends.?
