Beautiful sights & scenery. Wonderful vibe. Great place to take pictures. From out of town & was walking to the cloud gate in millennium park when I stumbled upon this wonderful sight. Was not expecting seeing this during the visit but i'm glad we did! Very nice riverview and I love artwork so that was definitely a fresh thing to see.

The Michigan Ave. Bridge (also referred to as DuSable Bridge) is near the location of the historic Fort Dearborn (1803-37) and the homesite of the first non-indigenous settler, Jean Baptiste Point du Sable (1780). The bridge was constructed between 1918-20. On both sides are bridge houses w/ decorative reliefs of essential moments in Chicago's history including the first arrival of European explorers Marquette and Joliet (1673), the first settlement by Du Sable and John Kinzie (1780-1800), The Battle of Fort Dearborn (1812) and the rebuilding of the city in the aftermath of the Chicago Fire (1871). From the bridge and nearby open space at Pioneer Court, you have outstanding views of the Chicago Skyline and the historic skyscrapers in this area of the city. You can also walk down to the Chicago Riverwalk from the steps on both sides of the bridge as well.

If you are in the area, DuSable Bridge is a great place to snap some photos and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding city. Take in the juxtaposition of nature, concrete, glass and steel. I got some nice pictures during my stay.

Like the Gapstow bridge in Central Park NYC, the DuSable bridge in Chicago is one of the main locations within the city to get some iconic photos. This bridge is such a beautiful landmark within the city of Chicago and a much visit area!

This is a great bridge going across the river we stayed at the river hotel we have to take the spread to get to cross the river. It is out of the water it’s really old and cool. Make sure if you’re in the Chicago downtown area to check out this awesomely incredible bridge. Especially at night.

This bridge had one of the best views especially on St Patrick’s Day 2022 with the imposing Trump Tower on the right and a wide view of the river walk. Naturally it also has the maximum crowd but it is definitely worth the quick walk.

My Wife and I visited the DuSable Bridge on January 23, 2022. This bridge is the bridge the Michigan Ave crosses the Chicago River at. It carries a lot of history and symbolism, since the guy it is named after, Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, is the guy who founded Chicago, and it sits in an area that has awesome riverfront views of a good bit of the prominent architecture in Chicago. We surely enjoyed it.

The Michigan Av Bridge is also called DuSable bridge in honor of Jean Baptiste du Sable, where his first homestead used to be and who is considered the Chicago founder and its first resident. On the bridge southern side, the 19th century Fort Dearborn was established. The bridge was opened to public in 1920. Around the bridge are some of the city most historic landmarks - the Tribune and Wrigley towers, and from the newer era the Trump tower. DuSable bridge offers terrific city views standing in the middle of Magnificent Mile.

The bridge with best views of the skyline and the river. Prettier during St Pattys when the river is all green. There are paid street parking around but its 7$ an hour.

This is a nice bridge. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This bridge is an old drawbridge spanning the Chicago River, and it has large sculptures on each side of it symbolizing different wars, such as the Revolutionary War. From this bridge you can get a beautiful view of the Chicago River, Tribune Tower, Wrigley Building, the St. Regis Building, Trump Tower, and several other beautiful skyscrapers.

My friends and I visited Chicago during St. Patrick’s Day. The city goes big for St. Patrick’s day and the DuSable bridge is one of the best places to observe that, as you get a full overlook of the river which gets dyed green during March. The bridge is on Michigan Ave and perfect to cross over out of downtown to go see Millennium park.

Super pretty spot for pictures, for both day and night. I think this spot really lived up what Chicago represents, the amazing architecture, busy street, and the Chicago river. Pictures I took are definitely one of the most beautiful ones in my album and would definitely visit again in summer when the weather wasn’t too much of a pain.

Beautiful views. We went to the downstairs portions to get a photo of where the untouchables was filmed. Such a great movie. The way down was interesting. Being from out of state, the Chicago underground seemed like a world new world. I called it the Chicago underworld. A little bit of courage to walk down. Kinda trashy as well.
