Love this park..Visiting this park frequently..Here is very good for walking, playing tennis, picnic, etc. Children may have fun with geese, birds, squirrels, and the playground. Some people are fishing too. There are free parking spots.

I enjoyed my short walk at Humboldt Park. The park is beautiful and peaceful, and the water is a calming sight. I saw a variety of birds and other wildlife, and I even saw a few people fishing. The weather was perfect for a walk, and I felt refreshed and relaxed after my time in the park.

Great park! Plenty of space, good trails, nice art. I like it. Sadly, Lots of homeless in tents, and no public bathrooms that I could see.

Humboldt Park has potential but falls short in some areas. It's a large park with green space, a lagoon, and historic features. However, it can feel rundown with litter and broken glass, and facilities need updating. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're in the area.

A beautiful 2 square mile park, in the middle of the City outskirts. Pedal boats (Swans) available. Lots of private alcoves and picnic spots to stop and admire the area.

Been living out in the area for a couple years now. One of my favorites. It's massive with good running trails. Garden's great. Yea, it can be cleaner, and there are homeless tents but they don't bother anyone.

The kids love coming here! It’s so big!! The park is always active with lots of people jogging, kids playing, flying kites, watching the ducks/gooses swimming, fishing etc. So much too see and so much to do! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Great for long walks. Multiple ponds /streams, great views of the city skyline, and great vibes regardless of the season. You got food trucks, youth or amateur athletics. Why not take a break to watch a practice or game πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ or bring a ball and have a pick up game. I try to visit at least 3-5 times a week. I can't say enough about this park! It's truly a hidden gem πŸ’Ž

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Humboldt (Alexander Von) Park, and I can confidently say that it is one of the most delightful and well-maintained urban parks I've ever been to. The lush greenery, beautifully landscaped gardens, and diverse wildlife make it a true haven in the windy city of Chicago. One of the park's standout features is the variety of walking trails, each offering unique views and experiences. The trails cater to all fitness levels, making it perfect for families, joggers, or those just looking for a leisurely stroll. Along the way, you'll come across quaint benches and picnic spots, ideal for relaxing and taking in the park's natural beauty. The park is also home to several well-equipped playgrounds that cater to different age groups, ensuring hours of fun for children. Additionally, the park is pet-friendly, and there is a designated off-leash area for dogs to play and socialize freely. What really sets Humboldt Park apart, though, is its commitment to environmental education and awareness. The park hosts various workshops and events throughout the year, aimed at fostering a love for nature and conservation among visitors. Humboldt Park is an exceptional urban oasis that offers an unparalleled experience for all visitors. I highly recommend spending a day here, whether you're a Chicago local or a tourist. You will not be disappointed! Five stars without hesitation!

Pleasant park area with quite space here. But the road is not renovated so some parts are not friendly to bikers. Besides, the view is very chill.

They have boxing classes. For the rest of the summer I believe 2 months for $20 the guy there is amazing! For the first time ever I got into the ring. Just to practice here and there. Despite fighting my whole life. If I would have known about places like this programs like this. As well as the many that they offer here. I honestly would not have been g********** in the streets of Chicago at 12 13 14 15 years old. I would have come here every day instead of on the streets. Learning what I was learning because I thought that's what life was. However, it's okay. Just think about the many that we could prevent from becoming like me, well who I used to be :-) give them a chance to bring out their inner best. I wish I would have known about places like this growing up. As well as other programs, because the Big Brother program denied me. They told me I was too bad to have a big brother :-) how do you tell a kid that? Anyways, it only makes my accomplishments so much better I think :-) blessings to everybody be safe out there...

Finally got to feed the ducks again 🀣🀣🀣. They were hungry and greatful for the bag of cookies and bread my Son and I were able to distribute to them. A lot of babies this year, so plenty of mouths to feed so if you're coming out to feed the ducks/birds bring plenty of bread/cookies.😊

A lot to see in this huge park. A bit dangerous in the dusk or when parade starts. Nice lake around. Fishing and boating is available. Enjoy it.

This park is my childhood. You can always find something to do because this park is so huge. There are always so many activities going on here. Be careful to walk around at night. It can get dangerous. Such a beautiful scenery.

Park is beautiful during the day. Huge with lots of amenities. Went for the Chicago House Music Festival and there was plenty of room and places to get shade and be away from the crowd. Can be a little rough at night, hence the 4 stats instead of 5

Just a nice place to go for a walk or bike ride. There is several open fields, playgrounds, restrooms, and water fountains to get a drink. I have not tried the food trucks yet. But there are usually a few around the park.wish I would have tried this place sooner I am sure this nice weather will be changing soon.

Only gave it 4 stars for the weirdest reason. I have yet to figure out the best running route there πŸ€£πŸ˜‚. Otherwise, one of my favorite parks to run through. The flags are always the best part of entering the park. If you love baseball, gonna see some of the best games there for sure.

  • 5/5 Lillian R. 2 years ago on Google
I enjoy this beautiful Park. If you want to catch a baseball game in one of the Diamond's. You can always come over and enjoy some music with the Corrillo from Humboldt park πŸ₯°πŸ€©πŸ’žπŸ‡΅πŸ‡· Weeeepa! πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ίβ˜ΊοΈ

Great park to hang out in springβ€”summerβ€”autumn. Doesn't matter! It's well laid out for different activities, whether you'd like to play sports with friends or read a book by the water. And because they naturalized the shoreline it attracts a lot've wildlife that you wouldn't otherwise enjoy in the city. Great place to submerge oneself in nature and unwind when you don't have the option to leave the city!

If you find yourself in Chicago and you enjoy Puerto Rican food and culture, make sure to visit Humboldt Park. There are plenty of food trucks, there is a bakery near by, souvenirs and things at Lily’s Record Shop, the Puerto Rican Museum is here too. I especially love the Puerto Rican arch flag.

Beautiful large pond with geese, turtles and fish. A lot of spots to sun bathe by. You can bike ride if you like or just have a nice picnic while you enjoy the scenery. My dogs love this park as do I. We go every weekend. Open barbeques are allowed. Fishing is too. The community always has good music in the park for everyone to enjoy. New and old school to tunes.

Took my one year old here to go sledding for his first time. I think it's called bunker hill. He loved it. And it was a joy to see him smiling and laughing. We also love coming here during the nicer months to take walks it's very nice.

Such a beautiful park that has improved so much over the last several years. Lots of landscaping with beautiful flowers and natural areas. Nice swimming lake/pond in the summer and wonderful live concerts for free sometimes in the summer.

It’s a wonderful park but the homeless population and graffiti is so bad this year that it detracts from the beauty. There are literally dozens of homeless encampments everywhere so it’s nearly impossible to find a quiet space.
