The best place in chicago hands down. Found it while looking for a sunset spot. Will definitely go back just for this place. Recommend 100%

I love walking here on Sunday’s after church. It’s a clean, quiet park with police presence.

Park nestled between Lake Sure Drive and the South Shore rail lines. Great walking trails. At the time of my visit, it was not crowded. Think of this as nature in the heart of the city.

Beautiful scenery and lake views!! The lake is super blue and white topped waves could be seen! you can also get some good pics of the skyline. Plenty of separate bike paths that can be used to run and walk along the shore of the lake. There are also places to stop for exercise breaks. The atmosphere was friendly and many people spoke as they passed. But…..as we were sitting on the steps a runners dog jumped into the lake after a fish. The runner almost fell in herself before my friend and I helped her get him out.

Went for Belize day In the park. This was my first year going since they moved it from Hawthorne race track and it was very nice. The spot is a little smaller than what I'm use to buy it was big enough and everyone enjoyed themselves.

We got over here wanting to get the children in the jungle gym however it's presently under development from what it appears. Alongside the person on foot connect. Indeed, even without that however the path is truly pleasant and similar to the sea shore region. All around kept and clean. Stopping was truly accessible on a Saturday evening. Incredible perspective on the horizon. It's a bit calm and I love that's the long and short of it. Restrooms accessible too.

Chicago's best kept secret. Loved how clean and beautiful the place was. I wish I could have waited till evening for the skyline view, but it was amazing to visit this park. It was not a touristy spot and a true local place.

Amazing views of the city. Make sure to take the overhead bridge where you can see the downtown views that are hard to get anywhere. The best ti e to go i would say is during the golden hour and blue hour. There’s multiple hiking trails and bike trails. Make sure to respect the surroundings and the lake and downtown views are hard to beat.

Nice little beach. the sand is not compact so you sink in deeply. Large rocks to sit on, but very little shade.

One of the best spots along the amazing Chicago lakefront! Is easily accessible by multiple modes of transportation, has basic facilities at the beach houses, and tends to be very quiet actually on a weekend morning! Lovely park & beach!

Quiet, secluded park nestled in the midst of downtown Chicago, perfectly situated on the lakefront.. enjoyed the sidewalk snack and beverage concession which would have keep me there all night. A MUST SEE!

  • 3/5 Terri h. 1 year ago on Google
Nice, But the washroom was not kept clean. It would be nice if the city would hire people to clean the restroom more often. There was a long line on both sides of the lady's washrooms because a few toilets were stopped up with tissue and those toilets could not be used.

Great park next to the lake. Walking and cycling trails. Ample parking space for all cars. With paying machines conveniently put every few meters. Good for Covid days since with a lot of wind and space to do enough social distancing.

Being outdoors gives us opportunity to focus on the wonderful creation of nature, we often take for granted. The rat race of survival and the pursuit of success often causes us to ignore the God given natural environment around us. This lockdown does cause us to slow down and absorb more experiences we otherwise bypass. Going to the park is a simple inexpensive valuable experience

Was present for a Sunrise Mass hosted by the Black Catholic Deacons of the Archdiocese of Chicago on the beautiful shores of lake Michigan on 41st avenue and Lakeshore drive. It was an idyllic background to pray for the peaceful beginnings of the new school year. Highly recommend for a stroll or a jog along the Lakeshore with the majestic view of downtown Chicago as a backdrop.

I've taken a date and I've walked the Burnham Park with my goddaughter. .. I've even gone for work events. This is a beautiful place and worth checking out. Don't plan to spend a full day unless you plan to enjoy a book while sitting in the outdoor garden. Otherwise, I'd say it's about 60 minutes to casually walk through the entire place.
