Great bar in Old Town area. The burger was really good. I didn’t expect it to be that good. I recommend adding a fried egg. The ribeye was good but wasn’t a fan with the cauliflower. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and super nice!

Came here for a bday dinner with 6 friends. We had to wait about 15 min for our table despite a reservation. They were busy and were friendly. We ordered food. It was a decent. Our bill ran a bit over $400 for 6 people. Was expecting better food for that price. But it was ok. The DJ is amazing and at night they moved tables for dancing. It was very hot in there. I’ve never been in a warmer club/restaurant. My party and I were all sweating. So we decided to do coat check. While waiting in line for coat check a staff member came over to tell us we couldn’t stand there (in line for coat check) but in such a stern voice. I understand working at a bar sometimes you have to be stern with people but it felt so hostile and uncalled for. I’ve worked 8 years in customer service and i would’ve never talked to someone like that. So I gave her that energy back and told her “we are waiting in line for coat check and were told to wait here” to which she responded “you don’t talk to me like that I AM THE MANAGER” which had nothing to do with anything. It was very obvious this person wasn’t having a good night and considering we weren’t bothering anyone and we just spent half a grand at your business - the hostility and power dynamic energy they brought into our dining experiencing was horrible. Uncalled for. I responded with “I don’t care if you’re the manager we are minding our business and in line for coat check” and after an intense eye stare she walked away without saying anything. I’m not sure if I looked submissive but I don’t even let me parents or my boss talk to me like that. Much less someone I don’t know. So rude.

Go now. Run, don't walk. The service is great and the food is even better. The only other place I've been that compares is The Whale. And imagine my surprise to find out they're both a part of the same restaurant group. They're intentional about providing a great dining experience and it shows. Everything we ate was delicious. I recommend this place. ❤️

While visiting the Windy City our family friend made reservations at The VIG Chicago for us to enjoy brunch. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and even at 11:30a on a Saturday morning inside was pretty loud. It was a lively, young environment, don’t get me wrong, but if you want a nice spot to conversate, outside might be best. The Pros: lots to choose from on the menu, prices were pretty fair for downtown, and tons of seating. Food itself tasted great. Cons: we were baking in the sun and when asked if we could put the umbrella at our table up they said that it was too windy, while the tables 3’ from us had several up 🙄. Then, when asked to move to one of the open tables in the shade the hostess gave us grief that it was problematic. Ultimately, we moved and it was fine. I won’t let the crankiness and unaccommodating nature of the host staff ruin a good thing and their score; our server Alison was remarkable and it was a great visit. We’d certainly come back.

This place provided a pleasant ambiance and a great atmosphere to watch sports. Their food was generally enjoyable, though we did have a slight issue with the salmon hush puppies as they appeared to have a minimal amount of salmon. Their spreads were delicious and we enjoyed the drinks.

This place is phenomenal. Was greeted by very welcoming hostess and seated promptly. I had one of the best meals in a long time while dining here. Fried chicken dinner with mac. Generous portions, amazing staff, tastiest food I’ve had in a while, priced well. I will definitely be back!

4 of us decided to go to The VIG to watch football last Sunday. The place was everything we expected. Vibrant, loud and plenty of TV’s. We drank and ate for nearly 3 hours and the service was always on top of to make sure we were taken care of. The food was great and the Parmesan Fries are a must have. I will say the Southern Fried Chicken sandwich was excellent. Good vibes…good food and great service!

This is a really great burger place in Old Town! They also have really amazing salads. I like this place so much I went there twice this past weekend for lunch. I live just a couple of blocks away and have been selling real estate in the area for over 17 years and have a lot of choices for burgers in Old Town. This is one of my favorite spots because of the food, outdoor seating, and the service. Every time we go the staff really takes great care of us. The food is constantly good and several options. Their burgers are amazing and so are there fries, but the chicken parmesan sandwich is a must try. I don't have pics of it, but I had the Greek salad on Saturday with grilled chicken and enjoyed every bite. This is a really great local restaurant in the neighborhood!

Food was great and made just right. Loved the atmosphere overall. Good amount of seating. No wait. Tons of drink options. Only thing is the music is a little loud but not to the point where you can't have a normal conversation. Was able to park a self parking garage right around the corner.

My wife and I went here to get some brunch and pre game a catholic wedding ceremony. I started with an aperol spritz and ended up having a second, they were light and easy to sip. My wife ordered the salmon board and it was enough to feed 2-3 easily. I got the brisket hash which had bacon, crispy potatoes, a fried egg on top and some hollandaise. It was plenty of food and so good. Vibes are immaculate inside and there are plenty of TVs as well.

The friendly atmosphere paired with the amazing food calls for 10/10 would recommend !! Definitely a restaurant in downtown Chicago with a nice vibe to it that you should try out :) Pictured: mac and cheese which was delicious. Behind the mac and the main event, is the Moroccan Turkey Burger which you definitely have to try !

This is a great place to get drinks and the food is really good too. The staff was extremely polite and attentive. They have a large variety of beers, wines, bourbons, and speciality drinks. I'd highly recommend them if you are looking to get together with friends and not spend a fortune on dinner and drinks!

Stopped here after checking out Old Town. We were looking for a nice place to eat and The VIG delivered. Great service, great food, and I definitely had a good time. The one thing that really stood out here were the wings -- delicious. They have an interesting menu with a lot of different options.

Service is friendly and very attentive. My only complaint about the food is that the deviled eggs might have been tastier had they been served a touch warmer. As long as I'm picking nits, as a beer nut, I would have appreciated a printed, up-to-date list of the draft selections. Favorable hours, appealing menu, and in walking distance of my hotel.

In the neighborhood and looked for a place to eat. Thought we'd try this place. I'm so glad we did. Atmosphere was classy and cool, great music and service. The food was soooo delicious. My sister ordered salmon BLT so good, and I ordered cauliflower au gratin unbelievable and wonderful and sweet potato fries these were very good. The Vig has it all.

We embarked on a brunch adventure to The VIG for good food and vibes on the Fourth of July. We got the whole gastropub experience with the the rustic decor and sports-themed ambiance, which is exactly what we wanted. Our journey took flight with the Spreads. For $25, we were treated to three amazing spreads accompanied by loads of toasted Italian bread chips. Each bite was an experience - the Artichoke & Kale dip, the Brie, Date, Spicy Apricot dip, and the Pimento Cheese dip were indescribable. These spreads were the star of the show and we will be returning just for these. It was hard to beat the appetizers as we had high expectations, but The Vig did not disappoint. The Chicken and Waffles came with two fun-sized squeeze bottles with maple syrup and a hot sauce. This was delicious. Each crispy bite was heavenly. The Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich was very good but I've had better chicken sandwiches elsewhere. I would recommend the Chicken and Waffles instead. We also got a side of Pimento Mac 'n' Cheese, which absolutely slapped. For drinks, we got the Aperol Spritz and The Vig Bloody Mary. Both of these were delicious. We were interested by their mimosa kits, but they weren't good value. Thank you for the great service and the fun vibes. We will be back to devour those Spreads again!

🤤🤤 The food at The Vig is absolutely incredible! I've tried a few dishes from their menu, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Today, I had the Peri Peri chicken, and the flavor was out of this world. The marinade was perfectly balanced, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. I'm already craving it again! 🍗🔥 I highly recommend trying the Peri Peri chicken, and I'm also hoping they'll start offering wings with the same sauce. 🤞 In addition to the amazing food, the service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. They make you feel welcome and valued as a customer. 👍

Recommend: Breakfast and service were great, will come again. Had to wait 20 mins on a busy Saturday, but with the number of people there and waiting to get a table the turnover was actually pretty fast. DJ was playing loud inside, but that's the vibe of the place.

The food was amazing, I recommend the skillet cinnamon rolls as a dessert. Service was not the best, the waitresses seemed like they did not want to be there and were also not very accommodating of larger groups.

If you live here, moving, or just visiting do yourself the biggest flavor I mean favor and come here and get the cinnamon roll. THE BEST THING I PUT IN MY MOUTH. All the food is and looks delicious. Love love love this place. 100000000% coming back here

We come here once a week for the drinks and food. Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich (pictured). It's amazing!! Anything else is good too but the sandwich is our group's favorite.

This is truly a very pleasant and even impressive place! I loved everything about it: drinks, food, atmosphere, music, service... just awesome! The Moscow mule tower was the perfect choice for drinks for my group since we all enjoy the concoction and it proved to me more economical and delicious too. We also had some cold spreads. Just perfect! Will definitely revisit!

Fun and tasty brunch spot. Attentive service. Very loud. Irish coffee and interesting light fixtures pictured. Would return, ideally at a quieter time.

It’s my first time coming to this place and as far as I remember this restaurant was the biggest and elegant place that I’ve ever went on my entire life. I’m surprised when I enter to this place. The lighting was good and the flooring was clean. The atmosphere inside was cool and peaceful. The waiter and staff will greet you and welcomed you. I’m with my friend and we order 5 dish they have. For our drinks we just ordered juices and some tequila. We wait for about a minutes when our order came. It served with a simple plating. I thought it was pretty and unique plating. Some of them have a small portion of food in every plating and some are there are lot of food. One of my favorite dish they have is their Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. It was so yummy and delicious. We enjoy having here.

This place looks elegant. It's huge and spacious. There are a lot of tables and chairs inside. The interior design looks amazing. It's perfect for a romantic date and family dinner or gathering. I came here with my wife. We are in a casual outfit. We ordered food and it came slowly. We also ordered wine for our drinks. The waiter put our orders carefully on our table. Their dish was really delicious and good. Some of our plates have a small portion of food. It has excellent plating. The food was pricey but the food was worth the price. We enjoy our dinner here.

My mom booked a reservation for this place last week. Then we came here yesterday. Their place was huge and there were a lot of tables and chairs to sit in. The surrounding looks clean and neat. When we enter there are a lot of customers inside. Some staff accommodate us and lead us the way to our table. They also gave us the menu and gave us space to choose what we ordered. They have a lot of choices on their menu. We spent 20 minutes waiting for our order. It's not quick since we ordered a lot. My mom also ordered a bottle of wine. And this wine is perfect for the chicken that we ordered. Overall we enjoyed the food that we ate. But some of their food was only in a small portion of food. The price was a little bit expensive. But we enjoy our experience here because of their food and the service.

One of the best brunch experiences I have had in Chicago. Excellent service, delicious food and cocktails, reasonable prices, and live DJ spinning great jams. Chic, hospitable, and inclusive spot. Will be back for sure!

This is a great place to go to on the weekends. The food it good. I liked their chicken sandwich. The drinks here are strong and prices are fair. I like the music and dancing. Definitely a place to go to for a girls night out.

The food was great!!! My boyfriend ordered Steak Sandwich, we loved it! Super delicious, our waitress was very nice and polite too. Everything is really pricey, but I guess it’s worth it. Still very recommended.

Everything about this place was awesome, would definitely had to go back. Had to wait awhile on a Friday morning so I’d plan ahead

First time visit. Great atmosphere. Love the music, perfect volume for conversation. Food portion is just right. The waitresses are so friendly and accommodating. The steak (medium rare) was so tender and perfectly seasoned (not too heavy on salt and pepper). And the drink (old fashioned) is a must. The food came out in perfect timing that you don’t feel rushed or that you’re waiting forever!
